Good at removing rust stains from bathroom. This stuff works miracles at removing rust stains from my showers and bathtubs. I am glad that I can buy it on Amazon because, for some reason, it is difficult to reliably find locally. My only complaint is that I have one bottle where the sprayer does not function properly. I assume that I can swap the sprayer from a working bottle (or pour the liquid into another bottle) when I need it, though I’ve also had trouble unscrewing the nozzle from the bottle. I assume with tools that won’t be an insurmountable problem. Annoying, but workable.
Work Better Than I Expected – Great Price – Plenty In The Bottle. I used it for an long time problem. The toilet bolt on the floor had rust really bad. Goof Off RustAid Bathroom Rust Stain Removertook care of the problem and doesn’t have a trong chemical smell. It worked fast on the first application = about 5 minutes and then wiped it of the base of the toilet. My intentions was not to take the rust off the bolt because it needs to be replace some day by my land lord. A small area of the base did have a little rust residue but to me I figured I would reapply in a few days. To my surprise the next day that the small of residue was gone. It seems to keep working after I wiped it off from the application. It also removed some blue-green stain off the base of toilet that was some residue from something else that I used before Goof Off RustAid Bathroom Rust Stain Remover. Now I don’t have to worry about guests seeing that awful stain. I tried so many other products that did not work. I have a few others things to use it on. I recommend this product because it works, it’s very affordable and a good amount in the spray bottle. I wish I would have taken a photo for this review.
Wear chemical resistant gloves. Contains hydrofluoric acid (HF) which can cause very bad chemical burns, wear gloves. Did not find it to be any better a rust remover than a HF-only product from Whink. Again, wear gloves (disposables preferred) when handling any HF product.
Didn’t remove rust in my shower. I have a rust mark in my shower that was caused by a can of shave cream. I received this product and tried it. The rust stain is still there.
Works. This surprised me, but it works. My family’s cabin has rusty water. The shower toilet and sink always look gross. We tried a lot of products that didn’t work. This works with no effort! I sprayed (but it’s thick, must be spread around. I used my gloved hand but could use a rag or whatever). Almost immediately the rust started disappearing like magic. The bathroom looks and seems so much cleaner now!
It works. I had used several other brand name products plus some of my own concoctions ranging from vinegar and baking soda to parts cleaner, nothing worked to get rid of the rust on the tile floor of my walk-in shower. The floor was an ugly brown mess. I wish now I had taken before and after pictures! Sprayed on the Goof Off, wiped it up with a wet cloth in about 30 seconds and waa-laa, at long last the rust stains were gone! It was so darn easy after I had worked so hard before! I’d almost kiss whoever came up with it.
It really is spray and rinse. The bottom 2/3 of our fiberglass shower stall at the cabin was orange. I sprayed it on.. let it sit a while (I kept checking on it) it was amazing! The rust was gone. Caution though.. the fumes are really strong if needing to use a lot like I did.
Nothing Better. We have well water and it’s VERY rusty. I’ve probably tried a hundred other cleaning products that are supposed to remove rust. Every one of them required a lot of scrubbing. Then we tried RustAid. I could not love this product any more than I do! I just spray it on, and it easily removes the rust from sinks, showers and tile – no scrubbing required. The closest thing I do to scrubbing is to put the stopper in the sink down allowing the RustAid to sit for a couple of minutes on the hard rust around the drain. Then, I just release the stopper and wipe the rust away. It really is that simple. To top it all off, RustAid is cheaper than almost every other product that’s SUPPOSED to do what it does. I recommend RustAid above any other rust remover product!
Exactly what I needed. I was looking for something to remove rust from tile floors. This product worked very well. I had to remove stains caused by my husband’s iron weights that were left lying on the floor. The results weren’t immediate; you have to spray it on and let it sit. In some areas I had to reapply a few times but the chemical eventually lifted the stains. Make sure your area is well ventilated and you wear a mask, because it’s toxic and the fumes are strong. Otherwise, the product does what it advertises. 👍🏼

The best bathroom cleaner. Omg if you’re looking for a good bathroom cleaner: look no further. This is it. I don’t usually write reviews but this $5 just bought my eternal love, take my firstborn too.My husband uses bar soap so it is an ongoing battle with soap scum in our shower. I’ve tried all the big name cleaners and the ‘bubbles of scrubbing’ don’t even come close to this. I originally purchased this to get rust drip stains off our house siding (10/10 for that: spray, leave for 4 minutes, rinse with the hose and the siding looks brand new.) With what I had left over I figured I’d see how it tackles the bath tub and shower. Sprayed on a generous amount, left on for 10 minutes, and the soap scum that I’ve spent hours scrubbing before simply wiped off with a wet towel. 🥲💖
Do you live in a country? You got well water. OK, OK people who are on Wellwater and they see rust under their toilet every other day and their house always smells like bleach and the bleach doesn’t clean it. This is the product you need. It’s cheaper than 409 or whatever stuff they’re selling you at the grocery store less work just spray it on. Come back after 15 minutes. Spray some more on and do a little scrub at the same time and you will start seeing it leave, nobody likes it. I think if you have a dirty toilet in your house that you never take a shower so clean it up don’t be disgusting.
Somewhat impressed but not totally. It works well with getting most of the rust off my shower but for some reason it didn’t get all the stains off. Even when I tried a few times as directed. I also wish it had a wider spray pattern instead of just one small stream. So you can spray a larger area. As it is it sprays like a squirt gun. I would have gave it 3 1/2 stars but not an option to.

Perfect for well water rust stains. We own an old farm house and have well water which stains our showers monthly. This stuff works like a charm. Spray on and wait a few seconds you will start to see the rust fade away. Smells a little strong (it’s cleaning solution of course) so I would open up some windows if you can to air the room out nice and quick!

Really does the trick. Really does the trick in removing rust stains.
