  1. A great product from the engineering team behind Sennheiser!! EPOS H6PRO is a must-buy. UPDATE 2-3 WEEKS LATERThese headphones are amazing, probably even better than I originally thought. The no distortion at max volume thing is putting these actually ahead of the *ahem* other headphones I mention below. Comfort level is INSANE. I wear these all night and forget I’m not listening to my home theater. And I’ve got Emotiva T1+’s driving my front soundstage, so that’s saying something.I did order the GSX 1200 (I got the 1200 opposed to the 1000 because it was the same price renewed), so I will try to update more when that arrives.Bass response is wicked. Wicked. Punchy clear piano notes, heavy guitar riffs, clear solos and thumping melodies for a motherboard amp. Gaming is fun and exciting.ORIGINAL REVIEW:i enabled music equalizer in Dolby Access app along with Dolby Atmos spacial audio, and am currently testing music.these are NOT primarily for music, but it’s nice to know they are very clear, dynamic, and responsive.they PROBABLY require an external sound card. BUT , they are leagues above what i had before for gaming headset, the “cheap” $60 Corsair HS60comfort level? off the chartsbass response is not in your face. its more warm and laid backmy Sony h.ear on 2 WH-H900N will be my main music listeners..they arent as comfy as this headset, the EPOS are WAY more comfortable, and in terms of sound quality, the SONYs are superior, especially in the low end realm, but this is fair since –they are also in the $300 price bracket ?? where the EPOS H6PRO are $180so far the EPOS with Dolby Access set to MUSIC: WARM EQ PRESET, they’ve handled Sia, Alice in Chains, and some Eminem, and everything has been fairly enjoyableTaylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” is wonderous and dreamy.. rhythmic and emphatichighs are bright, expansive, roll off nicely, warm, and wonderymids are just there. you don’t want them not there, and you don’t want too much. lots of punchy and grindy effects play fantastically.low end: needs EQ, but, with the EQ they really do sound pretty good.. there’s no distortion that’s for sure. not muddy. pretty clear. i don’t know what to say. it’s not in your face, but it’s there.all in all, they PASS the music test. they’re about 90-95% of my Sony’s in total sound quality, for a good 65% of the price.i am too tired to try gaming right now, or the headset, but i know it works.COMFORT: 10/10EASE OF USE: 10/10FEATURES: 8/10 (could use actual mute button, and USB-C connection)SOUND QUALITY: 9/10MIC QUALITY: untestedVALUE: 10/10

  2. Amazing. If you’re a gamer or just genuinely care about the quality of your sound, this should be your top pick. When I first tried this headset, I honestly was disappointed because it was the first time I didn’t immediately love a product for my setup. I thought it sounded so different and I couldn’t tell if that was a good thing or not. I thought I was going to return it, but I decided to try it for a bit longer. Not long after that, I realized, I hear more details with this headset than anything else I’ve ever tried. In games, music, and tv/movies I could hear each layer of sound flawlessly.I had a hard time trying to understand how it would sound based on how other people described it so I want to try my best here… I bought both the Closed back and the Open back options so I will compare them both here.Closed: The bass is very punchy but not muddy at all. The bass is strong and manages to deliver a powerful sound that truly immerses you in intense moments. The mids are slightly emphasized and make for vocals to be very clear and beautifully brought to life. The highs are noticeably bumped up(because these are closed back and made with a bias towards gaming, which benefits from boosted highs). However, I really appreciated the emphasized highs. It felt as if it was the perfect amount needed to complete the sound signature of this headset. Without the highs as they are, the headset might’ve been too bass-heavy and sounded as if it was lacking in some situations. Overall, an extremely pleasant and full sound that is enjoyable for all types of uses.Open: To my surprise, the bass was extremely similar, if not identical to the closed-back pair. The mids are noticeably flatter, in order to preserve the original sound signature of whatever content is being consumed. This doesn’t make it sound bad or worse by any means but it’s an example of the differences in what type of sound these will provide compared to the closed-back. The highs are also noticeably flatter, even more than the mids, but again this is not a bad thing. It makes for the sound signature of the headset to be what everyone says is “natural”, meaning it doesn’t do much extra apart from how the sound was intended to be heard when it was made. Whether it be gaming, music, or movies/tv, this sound signature fully captures the intended sound for each and everything you listen to, meaning very little is added to boost or emphasize whatever vision the sound designers/engineers had for their creations. I said in for the closed back that the highs felt appropriate and that it would have felt lacking without them, but I believe these don’t sound lacking despite having similar bass because the mids are also toned down. Finally the open-back design. They feel extremely lightweight, almost like you’re not even wearing a headset, and allow for a good amount of sound to be heard from your environment. I found that in competitive games, listening in for quiet footsteps was more challenging because it wasn’t as closed off as the closed-back. However, with music and tv/movies this wasn’t an issue.IMPORTANT: When I was using both of these, I felt as if the volume on both of them was very low. I was really confused as to why and was even jokingly saying to my friends, “I refuse to believe this is the epitome of EPOS audio”. It seemed unbelievable to me that something that had such good sound would top out at such a low volume which was about only 75% of my previous headset, the Logitech G PRO X Wireless. I spent weeks trying to figure it out and eventually I stumbled upon a Reddit thread that fixed everything. To EVERYONE who uses Onboard sound straight from your motherboard, if you have Realtek audio drivers, go to your Windows Search bar and type in “Realtek Audio Console”. Open it and in the audio tab, you should see an option called “Amplify Level”. This option is a limiter for your audio and is what was causing BOTH of my headsets to sound quiet. I highly recommend setting it to at least the “Powerful” setting as this is a very decent upgrade in volume over “Performance”. However, if you want the absolute maximum volume output available, go with “Extreme” but PLEASE be careful with your volume settings in any app or game you use, as this setting does really get EXTREMELY loud. Conclusion: To be completely honest, if I had only ever gotten one of these without ever trying the other, I would be completely satisfied with either one in terms of sound. Both the Closed-Back AND Open-Back pair OBLITERATE my G PRO X Wireless in terms of sound quality and comfort. For a purely gaming experience, I do believe the closed-back is the better choice, because of how powerful and rich the audio experience is. Because it’s closed-back, very little sound from your environment will interrupt your listening experiences, which for gaming, especially competitive games is extremely beneficial. The open-back provides a very satisfyingly “natural” sound to everything you will listen to. However, the open-back nature of the headset does mean that some external sounds might overwhelm very quiet sounds like footsteps. If you have enough money to buy both of them, try directly comparing them to each other as I did. I would recommend doing so in order for you to see for yourself which you like and prefer more. But for those of you who can only choose one, I would definitely recommend the closed-back.

  3. EPOS H6PRO EPIC. The media could not be loaded. I have tried many gaming headsets and nongaming headsets with sperate mics and they all never hit the mark. These headphones I been wearing for 4 hours and no pain anywhere on my head after my gaming season. I haven’t received my dac yet, but just running theses from my motherboard audio they are loud. I play warzone 2.0 and I’m hearing sounds I’ve never heard before. Furthermore, the audio quality seem natural, no over the top bass or not too much treble. Additionally, since these are closed back and not open back all the audio is kept in the ear cups and do not escape out to the environment, nor does the outside environment creep in. So far after 4 hours of owning these I give these 5 stars. I’ll update again when I get my dac installed. Lastley, according to my peeps on discord I sound way better than I did when using the Logi G35 mic.Build Quality: 5 stars. Very sturdy, not cheap feeling at allPrice: You get what you pay for, and these are 5 stars.Sound Quality: 5 stars. I’m hearing things in games I’ve never heard before.Mic Quality:: 5 stars. People on discord say I sound much better. No cons as of right now.

  5. Super stiff pads and no bass. I have the closed back version of these and those are surprisingly good for FPS and single player games.I do not like the open back ones at all.I have tried or own the following headphones and headsets:- Sennheiser HD 560S- DT 990 Pro 80 ohm- Sennheiser PC38X- EPOS H6Pro closed and open back- EPOS H3Pro Hybrid- Corsair HS80 RGB- Razer Blackshark V2 Pro wirelessThe EPOS H6Pro open back headset lacks bass. Like all of it. The audio sounds hollow and airy. There is no body or “oompf” to any of it.The earpads are stiff and uncomfortable. The earpads for the open and closed backs are swappable. I tried this because the closed back earpads are comfy and great. The only thing this did was severely reduce the soundstage of the open backs and did almost nothing to improve the complete lack of bass.I do not recommend the EPOS H6Pro open backs at all. The closed backs have just as good soundstage and imaging but have bass. The microphone is good and clear. Not much else to say about that.

  6. Really nice, sounds great. Comfortable, sound great and mic is great. Biggest issue is its 3.5 jack so you don’t get mic passthough into the headset without a USB connection software.. also wish they had a mute built in..

  7. So close to being perfect. I have tried THREE versions of this headset, because of how badly I wanted to make them work. The PROs:- Excellent, and I mean, EXCELLENT sound quality: No headset has been able to rival (for me). The sound is just beautiful and I’m not a big sound nerd AT ALL.- Comfortable: The headset has the perfect amount of padding on the top band and the ear cups fit fantastic. It is nice and adjustable for a variety of head sizes. The cups do not hurt after long hours of use.- Lightweight: the headset rests nice on your head and doesn’t feel bulky or heavy. This again helps with long hours of use!- Settings: there are many settings to change the sound as you like.- Quality mic: you can whisper at just about your lowest you can and your friends will hear you, but it still blocks out ambient noises in the room. LOVE the mic quality and the sound quality especially. The CON:- Connectivity: this is where I just couldn’t get past. I have tried THREE of these headsets, hoping that I just kept getting a “lemon” until I finally gave up. The headset continuously disconnects and it seems to be connected to the mic somehow. If I get disconnected, I have to detach and reattach my mic and suddenly it seems to work. I am not sure if this would be solved if you had a desktop/computer mic and never used the mic on the headset. I know I had the boom mic flipped up during times of disconnection and STILL had to detach and reattach, so I don’t believe using a desktop/computer mic would solve this issue. A lot of other people have also experienced this and I hope EPOS is able to resolve it. I ended up with a set of Steelseries Arctis 9 Wireless. I really didn’t want them to work, but they were the headset that I have been looking for for so long (good sound, connectivity, etc) – just in case I can save someone from the long months of research and trial and error I had with various headsets.I really hope EPOS can fix this issue one day or recreate this headset without the magnetic attachment of the mic. I wonder if this is the reason for the disconnectivity issues.

  8. You need a amp. I realized pretty quick with my lastsennheiser headset they are terrible without an amp. Pisses me off they advertise they’re plug and play. So what I use: I have a external sound blaster GC7(does great for audio, microphone quality, and mic monitoring) paired with steel series GG for surround sound. Overall though, I’m pretty happy with this headset, went from their game zero, definitely get a better seal on my head for noise canceling while not completely squishing my head. I have a larger size head which I feel like most guys have so I don’t get why most headsets are made for 12 year olds and females but this headset definitely isn’t uncomfortable which is 100% my main concern. Good sound, I no audiophile but sound is great. Also the cord doesn’t have memory(so far), even if gets tangled it doesn’t keep that shape. I’m very happy with this head set, don’t think it was a huge improvement from the game one but it’s definitely better. Overall I’d recommend it if you’re gonna invest in an amp and take the time to adjust your settings, cause it’s definitely not a plug and play headset.

  9. Best overall gaming headset I have used. I was looking for a headset to better hear footsteps in call of duty mw2 and this headset delivered great on xbox. The noise isolation is superb and the directional audio is great. There’s no need to use dolby or any other sound virtualizers as it sounds great out of the box.

  10. This is my everyday headset somehow I never thought I would use it so much. I love the details and clarity just wish they could be slightly more comfortable the mic is literally in my mouth I think it’s a nice headset overall and nice design nevertheless.

  11. Sound quality isn’t meant to be a standard headphone. As an audiophile, gaming headphones have never really been amazing for me, but, rather, they’ve all mostly been pretty terrible. For one, “gaming” headphone sound is meant to be tuned so you can hear the sound fx in a video game. All the tiny little gunshots, footsteps, voices maybe, explosions, and so on. To be honest, even for a gaming headphone, they didn’t do all that much. Footsteps could barely be heard, gunshots were loud and crisp, explosions were explosions, footsteps didn’t exist, but the directional sound is really good. Now, one ick that I have for these is that the setup generally isn’t that easy. I mean, it’s just plug and play, right? Yes, for the most part. My peanut brain found it difficult, ONLY because I simply didn’t push the cord in far enough, but even then the audio kind of crackles and gets wonky if you don’t put it in perfectly. If you are looking for good sound and decent gaming experience, go with the Razer Black Shark V2 or the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition. Both are great. Black Shark is more immersive for gaming and ehhh for overall sound. Kraken is pretty much balanced perfectly among all sound. Music is great, gaming is immersive. However, the mic quality on any headset you get unless its $250 or more will be terrible.

  17. Design and Quality. This one is a keeper. Box presentation felt and looked profressional to open. Overall design of the headset is unique and screams excellence. No RGB needed. No detail of the design was overlooked. Unique detachable mic and cover for it. Everything around the headset and build quality felt premium, and did look or feel like it t was made out of cheap plastic. The sound quality was surperb out the box, plugged directly into the controller gaming device. I’d recommend it more, however, EPOS had discontinued their gaming headset. I would say the only thing missing was a Xbox wireless version plus a LED Mic/Mute indicator close to the mouth piece like the Xbox wireless headset. I can wear this for hours, and not notice any heat build up or discomfort, even after taking them off.

  18. Not bad but great at a used price point. I bought these used for 60$ used completely worth it because I’ll really only be using with the steam deck on flights where closed back is needed. I have the open back ones already and much prefer the sound stage on those. If you want zero outside noise and only hear the game. The closed back hands down are the ones for you. Less sound bleed on the closed back, so if you are gaming in a room while someone is watching a movie these don’t bleed sound as much as the open back.Open back: wide sound stage less bassClosed back: narrow soundstage more bass. These things sound identical to my closed back GSP but way more comfortable. The bass is noticeably crisper and less muddy, still has that “scoop” sound profile that all sennheiser/epos closed back headsets have. Mine had no rattling.Been trying a plethora of DAC’s and the GSX1000 adds the icing on the sound profile like I expected too. But other dacs such as the x4 do a good job as well. Little fat down low but the clarity is still there. They do sound great plugged into standard jack ports on my pc. You will experience bad sound quality if your device can’t drive these headphones. 280ohm impedance so keep that in mind when buying. Among the game series, GSP series, and the h6 series. These are the most comfortable of the 3.I like the open back better, the gsx dac really bumps the bass and makes the soundstage wide. Hearing distant skirmishes and artillery really feel distant with the open. You get a similar experience with the closed back but the difference is enough for me to chose the open back as my preferred headset.

Hearing distant skirmishes and artillery really feel distant with the open. You get a similar experience with the closed back but the difference is enough for me to chose the open back as my preferred headset.

  22. Best wired headset for the cost. Had first bought the Corsair Virtuoso but it was uncomfortable, low volume, short battery life in wireless mode, and latency issues that didn’t get solved with a wired connection. These headphones however, I fell in love with them as soon as I put them on because they are so comfy, blocks out most outside noise, mic sounds great, and even though its a wired connection only, never had a problem with latency.Used in a call center environment for long periods, even though it was made for gaming, all around great headset.

Got these for my gf and I have to say the positional audio for footsteps and such for Fortnite is amazing also really good for audio in the finals would recommend for anyone looking for a cozy pair that has nice sound for both games and music

  27. For anyone feeling like audio quality is bad. I got the H6 Pros cuz my HyperX Cloud 2 headphones died, if you are using them on a PC download a software called “Equalizer APO” create a file, close the software and edit the file, paste this on the file:GraphicEQ: 10 -10; 20 -10; 30 -10.7; 40 -10.7; 50 -10.4; 60 -9.6; 70 -8.6; 80 -7.9; 90 -7.8; 100 -7.5; 200 0; 300 1.1; 400 0.3; 500 -0.4; 600 -0.4; 700 -0.8; 800 -1.1; 900 -1.2; 1000 -1.2; 2000 2.9; 3000 -2; 4000 1; 5000 9; 6000 6.1; 7000 8.5; 8000 24.3; 9000 7.1; 10000 11.5; 13000 5.4; 16000 3.3; 20000 -2.5Then open the software again. The file will load the preset and you will feel the difference.It will clean most of the cheap audio feel, I like the design, the confort and the magnet concept but the audio sucks.

  29. Very good headset. It’s very robust. The audio quality it’s very good. The cables are high quality. The microphone quality is very good. It’s a really nives product and it’s not that expensive.

  30. Great for working at home. This headset is durable and the mic is not oversensitive. Callers can hear me clearly but small background noises are not a disruption. The earphones have noise cancelling so that helps, too. I’ve been using this 5 days a week since February 2021 and am still happy with it.It could possibly be improved by the band being a bit more adjustable – some might find it too tight.I’ve recommended this to co-workers.

  31. What I’ve been looking for. I have recently bought and returned 2 other headsets from well known gaming companies like Astro and Steelseries. Both being higher end headsets that just weren’t worth the value. They were uncomfortable, didn’t deliver much sound quality, and in the case of the Astros, would not work. The microphone would not connect even after getting a replacement cable. Decided to try this pair and it is the best thing I’ve gotten for the price. Really great quality and comfort especially for the price. Cannot recommend these enough

  33. Explosion-ready gaming headphones with a functional (if quiet) microphone attached. I used my EPOS H6Pro for over a year (maybe closer to two years) before the cables died out on me. Besides that, I never had a problem with them (though you may look for headphones that last slightly longer). As a pair of headphones, I remember these fondly for their ability to make in-game explosions really boom and shake my ear drums. I imagine they’d be great headphones for a game like Helldivers 2, or some other similar game that has a lot of sonic spectacle. They were crisp enough for footsteps and distant gunfire and strong enough to make explosions really shake. All and all the sound was good by my amateur understanding of sound quality. Perhaps more trained ears might think their tuning a little dramatic and “unbalanced” or something like that. The microphone does a pretty good job clearing out unwanted sounds but also tends to be a little quiet (at least according to friends on Discord and Xbox when I was using this headset regularly). It is removable, though, so you can wear them as pure headphones if you really wanted to. I probably wouldn’t, but hey, the option is nice. I mostly enjoyed the novelty of it.If you need a decent enough pair of gaming-oriented headphones, they are one of the better options I’ve personally used. Still, you could also work on getting a good pair of headphones (and then, separately, a good microphone) and probably get significantly better results on both ends. If convenience is a deciding factor, though, I don’t think you’ll regret buying these.

  34. Great quality. Really good build, speaker, and mic quality.

  35. After years of use. Great headset it feels like I’m cheater with how easily I hear foot steps and the precise location they’re coming from in call of duty. And still sound great with all my other games I do use a sound blaster x external sound card with them.

  36. Aspecto excelente. Los epos H6PRO son unos de los mejores headset gamers calidad precio.Si aspecto es bueno, son ligeros y sobre todo muy cómodos, los recomiendo y si los agarran en oferta mejor aún

  37. Worth the money. Great, even though it was advertised as used only the box had marks, the headset it’s self was in mint condition

  38. Fire Headset. Bought this headset last year and it has been a great headset. I can play games and hear everything pretty good. Games now and days have a lot of audio settings that you have to tweak in order to hear better so im not going to fault my headset for the games terrible audio systems. And when I listen to music on these oh man. I need to upgrade the motherboard on my pc but I can already tell the difference between these and my old hyper x headset that i used to have.

  39. Best headset I’ve owned in 15 years. Durable and drop resistant while having accurate sounds that aren’t bass heavy like other “gamer headsets”. The mic is detachable and mutes when rotated. The microphone meets expectations, a dedicated mic will always sound better though. The volume control works far better than other headsets because it’s on the headset, not the wire so you won’t be guessing which way to turn it. It has a detachable and replaceable cable.

  40. Valen mucho la pena, el precio es bueno y la calidad del micrófono y audio suenan espectaculares, recomiendo comprarlo junto a un DAC o amplificador para sacarles todo el jugo
