Be patient, it took around 2 1/2 weeks to see improvement. I have two dogs, one is a probably a lab/boxer/pitt mix, the other a chiweenie (chihuahua /dachshund mix). My lab mix was suffering from mild allergy type itching mostly on her paws. My chiweenie was super itchy all over all the time. It started this fall. He has always been an itchy dog in seasonal allergy peaks but usually benadryl or hydroxyzine helped. Not this time.A vet visit led us to Apoquel (sp?). The treatment he needed for most possible relief was around $150 a month. We did a half dose and paid around $80 plus vet visits and testing. He was better but not as great as we wanted. We could not afford the Apoquel monthly in full dose and the half was only somewhat helping but we could definitely tell a difference. So I started searching for alternatives. Burts Bees conditioning spray, helped my lab, nothing for my chi. Paul Mitchell dog conditioning treatment (not a huge difference on either dog), I use Pet Solutions shampoo and saw only a few hours relief.I found these in my search for more solutions and the reviews had me sold. I could not wait to try it with my fur babies. They loved the taste and would do their tricks for them.After two and a half weeks I hadn’t seen major differences in my little chiweenie. I was so sad, I thought this might be the winner and a lifesaver for us all. After seeing some more reviews about time, I told my husband I thought we needed to wait a bit longer, so we kept our patience. By the third week our dog is 95% better with itching, gnawing at his skin, and scratching roughly. I honestly believe these are miracles for my pups. The only downside is the price.I wish it were a bit cheaper since I have to buy it monthly for my two dogs. IT sure beats the price of apoquel and vet visits tho.I have to add to this review as I have ventured away to cheaper products (recently deals from Prime Day) to try to get my dog relief AND my wallet relief…and I’m back again to order this. It seems to be the only thing that helps my chiweenie. My lab mix does fine with the other brands. I just wish they were not raising the price steadily on this product. Can’t we keep a helpful product at a decent price? Zesty Paws is clearly growing in popularity and selling more. Why do you have to charge more? Ah, the American way I suppose, but we’ll keep doing what’s best for our pets, and this certainly is the best so far. Well wishes to all the pets, and their caring owners.

Great for seasonal allergies. I am a retired veterinary technician and have a dog who has seasonal allergies, and food allergies. His symptoms consist mostly of scratching at his face, and chewing his feet. The food allergies have been controlled by putting him on a limited ingredient diet. The seasonal allergies usually started up in April and last until November, and required antihistamines. Last spring my vet convinced me to try the prescription medication Apoquel which is an immunosuppressive. At first it seemed like magic, my dog had zero allergy symptoms. Then after being on the medication for a few months, my dog developed a histiocytoma (a benign tumor) on his lip. These are typically seen in puppies and young dogs – my dog was 4 yrs. old at the time. These usually go away on their own after a few months and that is exactly what happened – no big deal (other than a trip to the vet to confirm that it was in fact a histiocytoma and not a more aggressive tumor). Several months later, while still on Apoquel, my dog started chewing on his right front leg, up near where the leg and body meet (his front “armpit” if you will). He was also shedding like crazy – HUGE amounts of fur. He ended up with a large area of hair loss and red angry looking skin on his right front leg. He would not leave it alone. This happened after the allergy season. I bought a sleeve to keep him away from it, and took him to the vet (again). She did a skin scraping to check for bacterial infection, yeast infection, or mange which were all negative, and then suggested putting him on prednisone (another immunosuppressant) in addition to the Apoquel and Zyrtec. I told her I had been reading up on Apoquel and some of the side effects included histiocytomas and demodectic mange. I told her I was going to pull him off of the Apoquel (which needed to be done by weaning over a few weeks). She suggested I could try a dose of Bravecto which is used for fleas and ticks, but also is very effective in treating demodectic mange mites just in case the negative scraping was due to a low population of mites. Within a week of getting him off of the Apoquel and using the Bravecto his skin calmed down, and at that time I noticed that his entire coat was thinning – more noticeably on his right side. Once he was off of that nasty drug it took a few months for his fur to grow back. This year before allergy season started, I decided to read up on supplements for allergies. I chose Zesty Paws because of all of the good reviews, and the company’s reputation. I started giving them to my dog in March and now well into allergy season have not seen ANY of his usual allergy symptoms. Also, his coat looks beautiful again!

Worked really fast. My Yorkiepoo started chewing on one of his paws and then over the course of a month, because chewing on all his paws. I looked it up and saw it could be a yeast issue but his ears were fine and he did not have the “Corn chip” smell on his paws that was common in yeast. I had gotten these chews a few years back when we rescued a Weimaraner who had bald spots on her head and around her eyes and it took care of that within two months or less so I thought it might work for this issue…..well sure enough!!!!! He gets one a day and now hardly ever chews on a paw and it has only been two weeks!!!! I have the Cranberry chews for an older female dog who will sometimes pee blood but only once and only every so often (it is part of the aging process of her breed’s urinary tract) and saw much less bloody urine (it was in the winter but now that the snow is gone, I don’t know if she is still having this issue but I am still giving her the chews as a deterent.

Dog loves them. Our pupper has mild allergies and he is definitely more comfortable when he has these. We see fewer scratching attempts and less skin irritation in a matter of days.We forgot to get them before his trigger pollen bloomed this year and were worried that it wouldn’t be as helpful this time but, he’s calmer and comfier than he’s been in days. His fresh jar came in just under a week ago. The smell like molasses and he loves them so much that he drools at that smell.

Don’t need expensive cytopoint shots anymore. Since my dog weighs 97 lbs. his monthly Cytopoint shots for his itching were costing about $180. Since I started him on 3 of these pills a day he has stopped itching so no more shots. Also, he seems years younger. He motioned for me to throw a ball and for the first time in years we had a game of fetch. He seems perkier too. The only thing I don’t care for is the smell. Smells like an open garbage can.

Great for my dogs. These really work to combat inset tummies and itchy feet. Wish they smelled a little better, one of my dogs has to have his masked in something before he eats it because he doesn’t like the smell

Works great. We have 2 rescue mixed breed terriers. One of them was constantly chewing his paws. Sometimes he would chew them so much he would yelp in pain because he was hurting himself! Within 3 days of using these we saw a huge improvement. He almost never chews his paws anymore. I give him one chew every other day and he obviously much more comfortable now. Definitely recommend these chews!

Jack Russell Itchier. Since Bella was a puppy she has been itchy, seems to happen first thing in the morning and then anytime she gets excited. The allergy (apequil) shots are expensive ( once a month $85-90) these bites seem to lessen the morning itch and extend the time between the allergy shots saving us a few shots. We first bought these bc of the vet tech recommendation that they worked for her dog in 2019 hoping it would eliminate the monthly shots we went 60 days but soon she was itching again until her ears would bleed, so it is not a clear all remedy for our Bella but adding it to extend life of the shots helps

Effective but formula appears to have changed recently. I’ve been giving Zesty Paws Allergy & Immune bites to my 1.5-year-old Maltipoo for a year, and I have noticed a significant improvement in his allergy symptoms. Before starting these, he struggled with itching and sneezing, which would return if I stopped the supplement.However, it seems like the formula has changed recently. My dog used to love the peanut butter flavor and would get excited as soon as I opened the container. Unfortunately, with the latest batch, he’s completely uninterested. The texture feels different, and the chews are harder, making it difficult for him to eat.While the supplement itself seems effective, the change in texture and palatability is disappointing. I hope the company addresses this issue because it was a great product before the recent change.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/5 (Would be higher if the texture/flavor issue were resolved)

No more itchy paws. This product has been working well at keeping our very itchy German Shepherd from scratching and chewing on his paws. He was licking to the point of having nasty lick lesions on both of his front legs. Within a couple of weeks his licking subsided and the lesions started to heal.He looks forward to having his little treat every morning and gobbles them right up.My only complaint, hence the 4 stars, is that the label states there are 90 chews per container and there are always a couple less than that. My boy is 90lbs, so he requires 3 chews per day, therefore a container should last 30 days. I figured it was a one off with the first container, but every container I’ve purchased has been short a couple.
