tasty toothpaste for the bestest boi. my beloved cat rudolph is absolutely perfect, with the exception that he has halitosis and dental disease. in order to keep up with the maintenance from his yearly dental cleaning, his vet recommended i try brushing his teeth. trying to find a toothpaste that had cats on the label alone was tricky enough and i was so worried he wouldn’t enjoy the taste of it. rudolph tolerates getting his teeth brushed every night in part to how much he enjoys the flavor of this toothpaste. he has it in the poultry flavor and loved licking the excess toothpaste from around his mouth! because it’s enzymatic even if he doesn’t allow me to get a good brush in that day, i know that the toothpaste is still going to go to work in his mouth.
Vet. Recommended. Brushing our small dog’s teeth is now easier because our dog likes the flavor of the paste. I asked our Vet. which product to buy, and she recommended the Virbac CET brand, so I feel confident I won’t be “that bad Mom” with a dog that has a lot of tarter build up.
My dog LOVES this. I was hesiatant to start brushing my dogs teeth(chihuahua) He had teeth removed and it was so expensive so we have to start brushing. I read the reviews and got a finger toothbrush-and he actually lets me brush and LOVES the taste of this toothpaste! And cheaper than dental cleaning and teeth getting pulled!
Cats Love it. My kitten starter having bad breath so I decided to try this for a change. Both my cats loved this tooth paste especially my kitten. Brushing cats teeth is already difficult but it’s an easier process when they like the tooth paste. I used this with the RYERCat
The best toothpaste. My dog has CUPS and in an effort to treat it. I tried several fancy brands of enzymatic toothpaste including and my dog couldn’t of cared less.However, this brand I guess they perfected the poultry flavor that my dog will approach without difficulty and tolerates teeth-brushing. PlThis is the brand my vet and the organisation I adopted my dog from recommends. Big Fan!
The flavor matters…chicken good, beef smells minty. I bought two flavors: chicken and beef. My cats get tired of flavors eventually so I thought alternating would help. The 5 stars are for the chicken, I would give the beef 2 stars (hoping it’s just a manufacturing mixup)My cat loves the chicken flavor. It has an opaque tan color, and smells meaty. I put it on the Emmeliestella 360 degree silicon toothbrush, and my cat will look and gnaw at it like it’s a treat. She’s slobbering on the floor because she likes it so much. I haven’t figured out how to brush her teeth without her freaking out yet, but I figured this is a good start.I bought the beef after I tried the chicken. It came out…clear? It didn’t smell like meat either, just like petroleum jelly. I was doubtful so I tasted it. It tasted minty?? But the box and the tube says “beef”. There is a vanilla mint flavor…maybe it was a mixup. So I got a replacement …no difference. I thought maybe cats have different taste buds so it’s beefy to them? No idea. She gave it a few licks but didn’t seem to love it.TL;Dr: chicken flavor was a hit, makes my cat slobber. Beef flavor doesn’t taste like beef and my cat didn’t care for it.
tasty. much thicker consistency than i expected. but my cats seem to tolerate it better than other toothpastes i’ve used. 1 of my cats loves the taste and can’t get enough of it, he tried to eat the toothbrush lol. the tube will probably last me a while so very good for the price too 🙂
It’s a win-win. My cat absolutely loves the poultry flavor and thinks it’s a treat. After just two uses her breath went from very strong to unnoticeable. I’m so impressed! It will take time to learn how to properly brush her teeth but she enjoys the taste so much that she’s been letting me try (coming from a very fussy cat). The toothpaste is effective even when just licking it off the toothbrush so I would recommend it for other cats with bad breath.
Both cats like the poultry flavor. Applied to a finger tub brushes. The kitten pretty much did all the work by chewing and turning it into a game. The adult it took a bit more work. I think with time and patience both cats will get used to the routine…well ok I’m hoping lol.

I love the vanilla mint smell. I want a scent that actually makes my pets breath smell nice after brushing and this is the one. My dogs also like the taste and it works! No more apologizing for his stinky breath. This toothpaste is THE BEST and apparently they LOVE the vanilla taste! One of our 3 dogs has such bad breath, I’m shocked at the results! I’ve always had to apologize to people about his smelly breath when his face gets somewhat close to theirs , but this solves it! 24 hours after the first use and he still doesn’t stink! They all love how it taste too!
Highly Trusted. My dog has bad teeth. After having to get one removed, we have a new routine of nightly teeth brushing. He really seems to like the poultry flavor of the toothpaste. 10/10. I have used this toothpaste for 2 years now on my 70lbs golden doodle. My wife recommend we use a different one for whatever reason (the Boka brand one) and my puppies breath immediately started to smell. I then switched back to this and 3 days later my puppies breath was back to smelling great. This toothpaste just simply works. It is great price, the tube is durable, the beef flavor actually smells great and puppy loves it, and you don’t need to use a lot.
Virbac Pet Toothpaste. My dog loves the taste of this toothpaste and it does a good job of cleaning his teeth. The plus is that it makes his breath smell better. As with any toothpaste you have to keep up with brushing everyday to keep the plaque from building up. It’s a good value for the money spent as I only need to use a little because he is a small dog. One tube lasts me several months.
Brush Your Dog’s Teeth. An enzymatic toothpaste is a must. You should shoot to brush your dogs teeth every day, but 3-4 times a week will suffice.I use Virbac because of their clinical trials and VOHC approval. My dogs love the chicken and beef flavors, my husband jokes that they are “addicted” to it because they line up at the end of the bed every night eagerly awaiting their teeth brushing.
Great product. My little guy loves the taste of this tooth paste which makes cleaning his teeth a treat instead of a chore. I use a ribbed cotton finger cover and rub it over his teeth & let him have a little dab to lick off when I’m done. His teeth are clean & his breath is fresh! At his recent check-up the vet was impressed with his “gleaming” teeth!
Less than 1 month of use: already a huge difference. This stuff WORKS! Our labradoodle was having quite the tartar buildup and smelly breath. We started using this product nightly on a wet toothbrush (consistency is key!!) on Jan 10, 25. The progression of before and after in the photos 10 days of product use, and then again Feb. 5,25 less than a month of using the product- her smile and oral health is transformational! Product is easy to use, my dog doesn’t mind the taste and anything she did swallow was gentle on her sensitive stomach.
