Don’t Let Them Choke. Me & my sister in law agree it’s the best way to get an hour of peace with a new puppy, but once it gets small, be really careful and throw it out if your dog is prone to choking.Always monitor them and don’t leave them with the chew while your gone.Just wish they were thicker consistently. If they are thin, our dog goes through it in a day. If they are thick, it lasts a week.
Part of Dental Regimine. I’ve used these chews, along with same brand toothpaste on my dogs for 30 years or more. I also use Oxyfresh additive to drinking water. I do not require teeth Cleaning for my dogs.
Great for teeth but pups didn’t like. These were awesome to clean my pups’ teeth in the beginning when they were curious to taste the chew, but after a few times of trying out the chews, they left it alone and didn’t come near it, so it became useless. Suggestion: please add some type of flavoring to help pups love chewing it!!
My dog’s breath is SO MUCH BETTER. I ordered these after my new vet suggested them over greenies. My dog has horrible breath and has already had to have 2 teeth pulled in the last few years despite yearly cleanings (he’s a cheweenie so prone to dental issues). It’s only been a couple weeks but I can see a slight improvement in the appearance of his teeth and his breath is down to a D4 of damage from a D8. He absolutely loves them, they also last a little longer which I think is part of why they seem to be more effective.

My dogs love it. The media could not be loaded. My dogs love to get this treat and it’s good for them. I don’t brush my dogs teeth, so my vet recommended it for healthier, cleaner teeth, so I buy it when I see a good deal. Not often it goes below $15 but when it does, I stock up. One of my two dogs takes her time chewing this up, thus her teeth are cleaner than her sister’s. My other dog devours food (inhales, doesn’t chew thoroughly, etc lol) so her teeth is not so clean but the enzymes in this product should still be working on that build-up on her teeth, but like I said, not as clean as her sister’s. Not chewy soft, but raw hide tough either. There’s no smell to it and the color is either beige or dirty beige.The bag is resealable, easy to open and close. My dogs know the sound of the bag and as soon as I touch it they appear before me. I stick it out and they stand up to take it from me and walk to their favorite spots (on the couch).
Strips need to be soaked to make them chewable. The rawhide strips are thin, dried, hard and too long for smaller dogs. They are so tough you can’t cut them down to size with scissors. My dogs (38 and 52 lbs.) couldn’t chew them as is. So, I stand a strip upright in a tall glass of warm water until it is soaked soft but still requires the desired chewing action that gives the dental benefit. I cut the strip in half for the two dogs. I then pour the water (presumably with enzymes) into their water bowl. My research tells me that these enzymes are more effective on tartar than some of the “natural” ingredients, so I am glad I found a work-around for the chewing challenges.
broken teeth. I bought this size for my dog rather than the tiny ones I first bought. In Sept. 2024 I gave him one 3 times and ended up at the veterinarian as they caused a scratched jaw and broken tooth. I will never use these again. I gave some to a friend whose dog is the same size, and the same thing happened to her dog!!! $1200. and lots of meds later, both dogs are better. These are soooo hard and thick that they should at least have a warning. Oliver, my dog, has been eating other rawhide chews for years and never had a problem. I am going to throw them away.
Great for my boy. I have a 24 pound West Highland White Terrier or Westie and he absolutely loves these. Every evening about 5:30 to 6:30, he comes and sits in front of me and stares at me to remind me that it is time for him to have his treat. Not only is it a treat he enjoys it also cleans his teeth very well. Great product I am very pleased with it. I do recommend it.

dogs love them. My little rat terrier, old and picky sometimes, loves these things. But, over the years, using one of these a month, is/was getting expensive. I tried to switch to Greenies, and guess what? He likes them as well! And, since they are cheaper, well, you know where I’m going. Virbac chews are great, and so are the cheaper Greenies.
My dogs LOVE these. I found these years ago at the VET as a recommended product for dogs! I was able to source them on Amazon and my older dog who is almost 12 has been using/eating these for years. My puppy now loves them too. I just make sure I am around when they eat them because they love to steal them from each other!
Excellent. This was recommended to me by pups vet. I was told to lean them off bones as they are getting there in years and to try this as they are both big on chewing.Both my dogs love them. I don’t know if it’s a texture thing for them or if it simply tastes good to them. I can confirm that it doesn’t smell horrible. Normally a dental stick doesn’t last either of my dogs any time at all. This both functions like a dental stick and a chewing bone. My dogs have no issue digesting the chew. My main worry is how they will react after eating something new, but I can say that they had no issues. It is a bit more money wise than the other types of dental sticks, but they are woth it in the long run.
A real chew, but quality varies. The good:I have a big Lab, a small mixed breed momma and her two mixed breed rat terrier pups. I started giving them these chews years ago when my vet stocked them. (I like to support local businesses). But, I guess she was influenced by the advice of many to not give rawhide chews to dogs, and began to stock another product. That product was also labeled as a chew, but it was so quickly devoured, it’s a treat, not a chew. So Amazon is my source now.Our daily routine is to make a morning walk for exercise, return home for their breakfast and then a chew to clean their teeth and satisfy the need to gnaw something. It’s not uncommon for them to act more excited about getting their chew than their food! The lab gets a whole chew, each of the pups get 1/2 of a chew, and the momma being the smallest gets 1/3 of a chew. I use gardening shears to cut the chews.I do believe the advice that dogs benefit from having clean teeth, but I’m not one to try to brush their teeth, so I rely on the chews for cleaning. All four receive annual checkups with our vet, and rarely does she see the need for her to clean their teeth, and I attribute that to these chews.The not so good:Other than my Lab having a part of a chew lodge in the top of her mouth, they’ve never experienced problems by getting this chew every day. But my major concern preventing me from awarding 5 stars is there is too much variability of thickness of their chews. I compensate by giving the hefty ones to the Lab. I cut the thinner ones for the pups and their momma. Even though the package states the total weight of the chews, given that the number of chews rarely varies, then the weight cannot be trusted as being accurate.Summary:This is an effective and enjoyable chew for my sweet dogs. Until I can find a better product, I will continue using this one. (My dogs are smiling and totally agree with this review!)
good for teeth. This is recommended ed by our vet and has been recommended by other vets we’ve had. My dog chews them really fast. Other dogs made them last longer. I like that they are digestible.
