Works like you wouldn’t believe…Fountain of Joint Youth for Dogs. Most of us have seen the rows of supplements on the human shelves that promise joint health, improved mobility and ease of joint pain. Usually right along side the rows of stuff for natural estrogen, prostate health and all sorts of stuff. Like most people, I sort of scoffed at that stuff, firmly believing that most of the effect is the placebo effect.Dogs, however, don’t have the placebo effect. If something works, it is because it is actually working. It changed my mind completely on Glucosamine, MSM and the other joint improvement supplements.My former old man dog rescue came to me with horrific joints (as well as everything else) as he had never received any medical care of any kind in his life. He was an old hunter that had a number, not a name, and was rescued. He was a mess, I admit, and no one in their right mind would adopt him. But it was one of those “love at first sight” things. We were best buds from the moment we met.He had two torn cruciate ligaments and dire levels of arthritis. He had his surgeries but to prepare for them and for his overall health, the vet prescribed these for him. I was not convinced but I forked over the money because I figured it was worth a try. I was absolutely astounded at the changes after about 6 weeks. He still needed his surgery but that horrible creaking and popping and stiffness all but disappeared. At first, I put it down to just being cared for and having his teeth done and all of that.After his surgery and recovery time, I stopped giving him the Glyco Flex III because the vet didn’t say anythng about it. He probably just figured I wasn’t a complete idiot and knew to give it but I was and I didn’t. Within about a month….well post surgery and after a full recovery period…of not getting it anymore he was really showing the arthritis. Back to the vet we went and I have to say, the vet was very nice about NOT rolling her eyes at me but did say that this was a lifelong need of his. Back on it we went and back to being a flexible puppy my old man went.Sadly, my boy passed last year of a sudden collaps of 5 vertabrae in his neck…just from turning his head suddenly. Which brings me to the caution for this stuff. YES, it will improve the joints. Absolutely. But it doesn’t actually correct degenerating bones. It will make their time on earth less painful and more full of fun, but it won’t stop crumbling bones from crumbling.My rescue boy now, also an old man with significant health problems (I’m a sucker) takes it now too and like my former dog, he’s now a jumping happy maniac with pain free and flexible joints. I just can’t recommend this highly enough!Introduce it slowly and be sure to do it with food to avoid initial stomach upset. Good luck!
Glyco-Flex III is Awesome for Arthritic or Joint Issues! – Update 5-9-20. A while ago, I wrote a review about Glyco-Flex III and what a great product it has been for my lab who was born with severe genetic arthritis from birth and before the age of 2, had TPLO surgery in both back legs.I adopted my lab at 4yrs old in 2012, it is now 2020. He he has been on Glyco-Flex for over 8 yrs. and is still doing AMAZING on it! When he originally was placed on Glyco-Flex, we followed directions for dosing up to 4 chews a day, then through to maintenance at 2 chews a day. When he turned 10 yrs old, we noticed he was struggling get up and down and doing stairs, so we placed him on the max dose of 4 chews a day (with vet approval) and that brought him back to his normal mobile self.He is now 12 yrs old, and as his arthritis progresses, we noticed he struggles more and more getting up and down on non-carpeted floors, doing stairs (or any at all), and doesn’t want to run or jog like he used to. We called our vet and asked for solutions and they indicated that if we don’t want to do prescription pain meds, it would be ok to increase to 5 chews a day, just watch his bowel movements and stomach. If he does ok, it’s safe to keep him on 5 a day so we tried it. He has now been on 5 chews a day for over 6 months, hasn’t had any negative issues and is actually running, jogging, playing, and doing stairs! He acts very happy, is playful, and doesn’t show signs of pain. He’s more playful now than ever and always has a smile on his face.I simply can’t say enough good things about how Glyco-Flex III has saved our lab and gave him his mobility and life back. For a dog who was born with severe genetic arthritis and vets recommended he be euthanized, has proven them all wrong. Having TPLO surgery early in his life clearly was the right choice his former owners made. And when we adopted him at 4 yrs old, placing him on Glyco-Flex III has given him a lifetime of fun, mobility, and pleasure.I am not an employee, nor associated with VetriScience in any way, shape or form. Long term use with our three senior pups. All three of our senior dogs get these as a daily supplement. We don’t have any problems getting them to take these, and they do seem to help. I know there’s a big debate over the effectiveness of glucosamine in joint health and if it actually helps or it’s more of a placebo. Our oldest dog is a little over 13 and has been receiving hip and joint supplements for years, and based on what our vets have told us, for a dog his age his hips and spine are in great shape. He is just recently starting to show arthritis in his spine and dysplasia in his hips, and being a larger dog (75 pound Lab/Retriever mix), every vet he’s seen has said to keep up whatever we are doing for him. He gets good exercise, high quality food, and these supplements, so even though the jury is still out on whether or not glucosamine does or does not help, I’ll keep giving these to our senior dogs. Maybe it’s the other ingredients rather than just the glucosamine, but so far they’ve helped hold back the aging process in their joints. Even our two other dogs (one is 11 and the other is 9) don’t show the level or extent of arthritis or dysplasia that should be present at their ages for their size and breed, especially our GSD.We had been giving them the hard tablets, but decided to switch to the chews because we don’t have to worry about them being eaten. They have a bit of a funky smell, but the dogs don’t mind. The pups snarf it down eagerly and look for more. We haven’t had any tummy troubles switching from the tablets to the chewies, either. My only concern with the chews is that they will dry out as they do have a bit of a crumbly texture to them. There are a few tablespoons of crumbles at the bottom of the bag, but I think that is more of a shipping and delivery issue as these came in a big box (way too big for just two bags of chews) without any padding to keep them from bouncing around the box during shipment.In the two years we’ve been giving these to our pups, we’ve been pretty pleased with the results. Prevention is cheaper and less time consuming than vet visits, x-rays, shots, getting a pet to take meds like steroids or Rimadyl (which too frequently can permanently damage the liver), blood work to see how those meds are affecting the pet’s liver or kidneys, and more. So as long as our guys keep showing such good results at keeping arthritis at bay, we will keep using GlycoFlex.

These worked like a charm on our 8 year old Chow Chow. Our Chow Chow was running and playing along our back fence with another dog when he hurt his leg. He was limping quite noticeably, and we did take him to the vet, but because Chows don’t do well with anesthesia, we decided to wait to see if the injury would heal before getting an X-ray and/or surgery. In the meantime, since the limp was still noticeable, but not quite as bad as when he first injured himself, we decided to purchase these and try them on him. We ordered the Duck flavor. He didn’t care much for them on their own, but we break them up and put them into his food and he eats two a day and his limp is almost nonexistent now! They really work like a charm! We have been ordering them consistently ever since. If your dog has aches and pains, you might want to try these out.
This product really, really works. I have a pitbull who, at 12 years old, is showing sign of lameness after playing ball. We have also noticed that coming down the stairs can now present difficulty to her.In the past two years we have tried numerous other high end Chondroitin and Glucosamine products. All of them gave her terrible bowel distress so we stopped prior to being able to see if they would work. We gave them 2 weeks but the stomach never stopped reacting harshly to them.We tried the Vetri Science Glyco Plus three weeks ago and are we ever glad that we did! She has responded fantastically. NO stomach upset whatsoever. And, she has gone from a hop walk back to a stride walk again. We have rested her from play and stairs also for these three weeks. Last night we allowed her to go upstairs and she flew up them! This morning she came down the stairs with no hesitation or stumbling. So far today, we see no adverse effects of using the stairs. She had her annual exam last week and her doctor said that most people give up too quickly on the glucosamine. He said that it usually can take 4-8 weeks to work. We are just entering week 4 and so hopeful for the long term effects. If you do try this, please be patient. I think you will be very pleased.
Chewable and improved performance. We have an older Border Collie that was having trouble getting up and had slowed down. We started her on this product and have seen a vast improvement on her quality of life. She is running around like she use to. She actually thinks these are her morning snack and looks forward to eating them. Highly recommend.
Really helps. My 10 year old boxer is finally starting to show his age. He was having trouble getting up on the bed. I’ve been giving these to him for about a month now and he’s back to being chaotic and jumping all over everything.
It works. I’m don’t have any complaints about the product or price and it doesn’t have any wheat byproducts that interfere with my dogs allergies

Excellent joint supplement. My vet recommended starting a joint supplement for our 6 year old GSD. He was just starting to show signs of discomfort. In only 3 weeks, he is showing signs of improvement. I’m so glad I listened to our vet!
Switched from dasquin. I first put my dog on Dasquin a few years ago as I noticed my dog struggling a little bit to get up. It worked without a doubt. Fast forward my now 15 year old 60 lbs. dog who was still using Dasquin was refusing to get up at times, and i was having to carry her down stairs. I read somewhere that glycoflex was better for senior dogs. Being she was going lame and thinking I’d have to put her down I gave this a try. 2 weeks later, she was going up and down stairs again. Been 3 weeks now and a week since I’ve even thought about carrying her down. She’s not perfect, struggles a little at times, she’s still 15 after all but this has extended her time and quality of life. If you’re on the fence, give it a shot. I just got back from walking a mile with her.
Tried and true. I’ve been using this for over 4 years now and this has to be the best thing I’ve even done for my dog! He’s an 80# lab about to be 10 years old and he’s not slowing down! He has 0 hip issues and plays fetch all day every day.I started this when he was 6 in hopes I could delay arthritis or hip issues that larger dogs are prone to. I didn’t want him to have to be on prescriptions like pain meds so I started him on this early and it’s totally worked! He is so so active and I really believe it’s attributed to the glycoflex 3!He’s a lab so he eats anything but he has no problem with the large chewable tablets. He doesn’t even chew it, just gobbles it up. The maintenance dose at 80 lbs is 1 tablet a day so this is such a budget friendly option. I even prefer the ingredients in the glycoflex over cosequin and this is a better deal. I’m always researching what supplements I can give my dog to prolong his health and this ticked all the boxes. After 4 years of ordering this I’ve never gotten an expired or nasty batch. It’s always been really a consistent quality product.I’ve found this glycoflex3 tab, along with the Ready Pet Go brand turmeric and collagen chew, plus Pet Honesty brand Omega 3 fish oil is the perfect trio for joint health. I started the turmeric chews and fish oil 2 years ago and they’ve been great affordable additions to the glycoflex 3. I’ll keep my dog on these as long as he keeps tolerating them! He doesn’t have any upset tummy with any of these supplements 🙂 highly recommend!!

I broke them in half with my hands, they’re very soft and easy to chew. He’s a new dog!! He’s more active. Loves to fetch balls, sticks, frisbee’s etc… This improve his mobility and joints. Healthy, dogs love the chews. My dogs love these chews. Its too soon to know if it helps with arthritic joints but my vet highly recommends green lip mussels for my dogs.
It Works for Mine. Annie is a 14 y.o. Maltypoo. She is a rescue from being a former breeder. We feed her a homemade diet of chicken/turkey/liver/sweet potato/carrot and a few other things (mostly cooked, but some raw) as we have it available. She stays on the second floor and negotiates a long stairwell several times per day (pay no attention to the Halloween trimming).After about 3 weeks on this supplement both as treat nibbles and mixed into food, we noticed she wasn’t waiting to be carried down every time. In fact she began to climb back up as well after about 7 weeks. Six months in and I think we have maximum progress with about 80% or more of her trips under her own power; occasional carries only in one direction or the other. Not bad for a small dog where the distance between steps if half her body length.Nothing else has been changed in her diet or treatment. No comparison to any other supplementy as this is the only one we’ve used. We are pleased with the changes we’ve noticed.
Best supplement for older dogs. My 12 yr old German Sheperd has been taking these for several years now. I am convinced this is helping keep him mobile and able to walk without as much pain. This is the best product I have tried for him.
They work. My senior dog was having difficulty walking and I thought I’d give this a try. I am so impressed with the reduction of his symptoms! He has been on these for 3 months now and I won’t stop!
