  1. Must have! Works fast! Easy to use. I love this product. I have dogs, chickens, peafowl, and turkeys…. I use it for all of them! After I hit my new turkey tom, he really beat up my peacocks head. I used Vetericyn and it healed up very quick! After I moved some chicks out to the coop, one of them got picked on pretty bad. She had a gash in her head almost down to the bone; I wasn’t sure she would survive. I sprayed Vetericyn on it and it healed a lot over night! My Great Dane gets ear infections and I use Vetericyn but don’t notice much difference. When I use it for his ears, I’m not very consistent so that also may be why it doesn’t help.I like Vetericyn because it’s easy to use and seems to work fast. It’s safe for eyes so I’m not afraid to spray it all over their head/face when they have gotten head injuries. A lot of my birds are timid and don’t like to be picked up; this product is very easy to use on them (I separate them from the others and just spray iron them while they are in a cage).I am cheap, so this was a lot of money for me to spend but it is well worth it! Probably the best thing to have on hand if you own pets. Lucky for me, I don’t have to use a lot, so it has lasted me a while. But when I get low, I will be buying more. It is a must have!Sorry the photos are graphic but you can see the first picture is the chick’s head injury. The second picture is the following day. I used Vetericyn 3 times. Her head looks wet from the medicine but look at how much the hole closed! Plus, the gash wasn’t as deep! It was incredible to see that amount of healing overnight. This chick is prefctly healthy and doing great!

  4. Amazing to help clear up Cat’s blackhead/ acne on chin. I am very impressed with this product. Actually I just ordered my second bottle so I decided to write a review after using it for couple months on my cat. I only used it for clearing up my cat’s blackhead problem on his chin. Before using this product, I have tried soap water, green tea, alcohol, pads specific for cat blackhead. None of them worked. As a matter of fact, it was getting worse and looked all black and red and swollen. It was probably itchy and bothering him because Chairman peed on the floor couple times and he was constantly trying to scratch his chin.I was so desperate that I was about to take him to the vet when I saw a post a breeder (I recently got a kitten Matcha from her) that she always keep a bottle of Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care Hydrogel around the house. I asked her if she has used it for blackhead/acne and she said it should work. So I got a bottle immediately. The first thing I noticed is the scent. I can’t notice too much of it but cats are a lot more sensitive to scents. Chairman is actually not resistant of it when I put it on comparing to everything else I tried. As a matter of fact, my kitten Matcha likes it so much that he licked the bottle every time I put it on Chairman. I started by spraying on my finger tip, rub it on Chairman and wipe if off with paper tower and repeat as many times as possible till it clears up.The first time I used it, I saw a bunch of little black spots coming off his chin on the paper towel and it is a light yellow color (grease from his chin). What I have found effective is to warm Chairman’s chin with a hot towel so pores on his chin open up. Then I apply the spray. After a few uses, he must know it is good for him and he would actually turn his head around so I could clean different areas. Eventually, he is even ok with me spraying on his chin directly. I always give him treat right after so he has a positive association with the spray knowing he is awarded by acting good when I put stuff on him. After 4-6 weeks, I saw major improvements on his chin that one side of it is almost cleared up completely though the other side is more severe. It would have cleared up faster if I kept cleaning his chin twice a day (one in the morning and one at night). So please do that if time allows. After consistent use of the spay for more than 2 month, Chairman’s chin is about 80%-90% cleared up with some minor blackhead spot left still. I have no doubt it will go away, just take time to get rid of the last little bit.Other things I was doing at the same time: I clean his ceramic bowl everyday and I also switched his can food and dry food to have a lower fat %.I didn’t see many reviews of this product regarding treating blackhead/ acne so I decided to write this one. I have never thought blackhead would be so hard to get rid of but hopefully this gives you some insight/ tips on how to deal with it. Thank you for this amazing product.

  5. Wonderful! Safe and effective. Love this, used on two of my fur babies on 2 seperate occasions.I bought this because my 1 year old tabby kitty had an allergy to a shampoo. She was itchy and developed a couple of scabs on the top of her head due to scratching, which of course made it worse. I applied this for a few days and in about a week I couldn’t see where the scabs had been! It was a little bit of a struggle to get it on, I chose to open the bottle and apply the gel liberally to a cotton pad and then part kitty’s fur and apply for maximum contact.A couple of months later my 5 month Husky pup picked up fleas from a vet visit. They were crawling on her face when I picked her up! I was able to treat the fleas with medication, but where her beautiful ears had been bitten, she had scratched bloody scabs onto. It was not pretty, and the more she scratched the worse it got. I decided to give this a try before the vet. She seemed annoyed at the wetness, but it seemed to sooth her a bit. I applied it the same way as I did to my kitty. Within a few days she wasn’t scratching so much, and the scabs looked better. 2 weeks later, I cleaned the last of the scabs carefully away with the cotton pads soaked in this ointment. Her ears are back to beautiful and pink like a bunny rabbit! Most importantly, my baby is not suffering. This doesn’t seem to be medication: rather, it helps kill bacteria and promotes an ideal healing environment. It is safe for all your pets and is an alternative to harsh medications. I would give this 10 stars if I could! On a side note, I bought the pink eye spray by this brand for a rescue kitten who suffered from a horrible eye infection on both eyes. Took him to the vet and after the Tobimycin and eye health supplements, still no improvement after a month. After a week to of using the pink eye spray, he opened both eyes and is able to see again! I cannot say enough good things about this brand. Thank you!

  7. Saved me 300 hundred dlls vet visit (long story). This is an amazing product it works fast and it’s easy to apply. My dogs love each other so much that if any one of them has a small cut or a funky smelling ear the other dog will lick them persistently until they have gone bald on that spot. Unfortunately we can’t be home all day to keep an eye on them or keep them separated so the problem got really bad in leas than 2 days. Not only was Harley going bald on the inside bottom part of his ear but it had gotten infected and the hot spot was only growing by the minute since his best friend wouldn’t stop licking and allowing to dry. I took him to the Vet and he was “non-complain golden retriever” so they said they had to sedate him to be able to shave and clean the area appropriately. Oh and he’s 125 lbs so the bill quickly went up to an outpatient surgery copay. I asked for them to give him an antibiotic shot and requested the rest in pill form and ran out of there directly to the costco pharmacy to get his meds. I went on amazon and read reviews and quickly ordered this product. I got it the next day and started applying it. My non-complaint golden retriever hates sprays or anything that sounds like a spray so I had to clean the area with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide and sprayed the gel like formula onto a clean gauze and applied to affected area. I used a cone on my other dog so he wouldn’t be able to lick the product off(genius I know) I cleaned the area and applied twice a day as well as giving his oral antibiotics and within the second day I noticed it had started to heal and was beginning to dry up. I continued cleaning and treating for the whole duration of antibiotics which was 7 days and by then his hair was growing back on the bald spot. I not only saved money, which I would have done anyway if nothing worked, but I saved my dog from unnecessary sedation. I now use this for persistent hot spots before they get bad or any cut. It’s a great price and a fabulous product.

  8. Product is great but there’s one minor issue. We foster and train dogs and absolutely LOVE Vetericyn…we *always* have it on hand. It’s great to clean minor wounds, protect them, and help them heal faster. It’s also totally safe if dogs end up ingesting it a bit of it by licking themselves after it’s applied (try to limit that, of course, but it’s comforting to know that it’s non-toxic and environmentally-friendly). We recommend it to everyone and have never heard a bad review about the product. 🙂 The ONLY reason this isn’t a 5-star review is because of the spray nozzle on the hydrogel bottles.Since the spray nozzle changed (not sure on the date…within the past couple of years, I believe), we’ve only been able to get through about half of the 16-ounce bottle before the nozzle completely stops working. Nothing comes out *at all* and the way that the bottle is manufactured makes it impossible to take the nozzle off (it doesn’t untwist like a typical spray nozzle, likely due to FDA regulations and the contents being an OTC medication) so the only options are to toss the remaining Vetericyn stuck inside the bottle out or cut through the bottle and put the remaining Vetericyn into a different container.Despite the spray nozzle being less-than-ideal, the product is still very much worth it! :)*Please note, we thoroughly clean the nozzle after each use as recommended and will only have the bottle for a few months, kept inside at room temperature out of direct sunlight.

  9. Muy bueno. Muy recomendable

  10. Amazing. Best stuff ever!

  11. Excellent product for healing canine wounds and skin irritations. This canine medication is rendered useless if allowed to freeze, so any shipment should be made only during mild weather—especially avoid winter!

  12. Great Product. Works so very well, and tolerated by my animals!

  13. WONDERFUL RESULT. My 2 indoor cats like to roughhouse which often means one or the other ends up with minor scrapes, which then become points of surface irritation, especially around the neck & shoulder region. As anyone with cats knows a minor scrape or scratch can become a major skin issue quickly, with vet visits & expensive treatment following to clear it up. Vetericyn Plus Wound Care (Hydrogel) quickly stopped my cat from scratching & re-opening his surface neck abrasion. (Please note: I say surface because I don’t think this would suffice in care for any deep wound.) For surface abrasions & irritations this stops the pain & itch FAST! I used it as follow up after Vetericyn Wound Care. Also note: being a gel it does tend to clog the spray nozzle so I just put a dollop on some cotton wool & applied/dabbed onto affected area. Soothed it immediately!

  14. Great stuff. Have used this for years. We have horses & they are always getting cuts & scrapes. This works wonders & helps to heal cuts really fast! No burn to it.

  15. Works Great but Clogs the Sprayers. I love this product. The second my female Rottweiler’s allergies flare up, she licks her paws raw and sometimes her elbows. I’ve also used it for other small scrapes and scratches for my dogs when needed and it definitely seems to help with their comfort and quicken the healing process. I use it along with Vetericyn’s wound care spray. My only complaint is that I can never get through a bottle before it starts to glob up and clogs the sprayer. I used to get the small bottle when I had one dog and now get the big one since I have 2 dogs and it never fails. Before I can finish the bottle, and well before the expiration date, I can no longer use the sprayer. This last one, I ended up pouring into a mason jar and am scooping/pouring it on the wounds. It’s too expensive to waste. This would definitely have 5 stars if it wasn’t for the sprayer

  16. Excellent product. Nice comfort for any injuries your pet has, even works around their eyes. No problem with leakage. Nice thin spray for application. Smells like a public pool. Very durable, and not sticky. I use this all the time for both my let’s and for first aid on myself.

  17. Works very well. Works very well, but make sure to have your pet wear a cone during use or they’ll lick it right off!

  18. Easy to use, fast healing. Our dog had quite the puncture wound on her inner leg. We had been treating for several days before getting this product and saw little improvement. Within 2 days of starting this product we saw a drastic improvement in healing. Well worth any cost!
