Really fun. This is the first black light I have ever purchased and I cannot stop playing with it! I did have a little bit of a problem when it first arrived though; after putting in the batteries and screwing the battery cap back on my boyfriend and I discovered that the flashlight wouldn’t turn on. So we took out the batteries and tried to wipe everything down a little bit more, made sure we put them in the correct way and kept trying but the flashlight would not turn on. I randomly twisted off the top portion that contains the light bulbs and discovered that the spring connecting the light bulbs to the batteries had not been installed properly. In fact it was almost bent out of shape because it was so tightly packed in side. But once we figure that out It turned on with no problem and I have had no issues ever since 🙂 It also made me realize just how disgusting my bathroom was even though I clean it every other day, so definitely very helpful for a deep clean. I’ve only had it for a couple of days though so I cannot tell if it helps removing odors with deep cleaning. Overall it was a good prime day purchase 🙂
An effective tool for the “where did the dog pee now” detective. If you are looking at this product, chances are you are mumbling curse words under your breath and have another tab open drafting some sort of “dog needing a new home” ad.Please don’t do that.I was you too. I have a 6-month old Golden Retriever Puppy who has, to date, had three UTIs. I kept smelling her little ‘I couldn’t help it” accidents but never quite eliminating them.Luckily this little UV light illuminates the evidence in glowing color.Note- it has to be very very dark to see pee spots. And every little bit of debris in your carpet will also glow like diamonds. Also, it will leave you editing the five star review you left of your carpet cleaner, because you can see how well the dang thing DIDN”T clean up old spots.But yeah, it works. You’ll be glad you ordered it. Take a deep breath and go pet your doggie, because it’s probably not their fault.If it was a cat, you’re on your own. Cat pee is forever.
It shows lots more that urine. My cat urinated on my front room rug, so needed to remove, but hard to tell exactly where to clean by just smell. Using this product it will show up. The only problem is, my last cat had colon cancer and threw up a lot over the 2 years she had it. I cleaned up all the spots, but they all showed up under this light. I remembered where some of these areas were, so I knew that’s what those spots illuminated by the light were, but are so many of them that its hard to figure out sometimes which is which. But it certainly does work. A male cat I had about 20 years ago sprayed on the front of our speakers (in those days they were large), and that showed up on both speakers, even after all those years. Not all these spots smell, so again hard to tell which to clean.
Identifies Pet Urine. Our dog wasn’t feeling well and peed on the carpet right in front of me. We had just bought new carpet so I bought this UV flashlight. This UV light easily identified it. The large 51 LED display is a great feature. It is a good price and a quality, easy to use UV light. We cleaned the spot and checked again and it is good now. My wife said we need to take our dog to the Vet. She had a UTI and is now well.
Prepare to be horrified. Certainly does it’s job. We have a puppy and felt like we were surely missing some accidents. After the horror that was the carpets we took it to everything in the house and let me tell you…I had no idea how gross our walls were. Very eye opening. You may be disturbed and seriously consider just burning your house down. I feel much better knowing exactly where to direct my OCD. Highly recommend for all pet owners and obsessive house cleaners.
Just don’t shine it where you’re not sure you want to, lol. I bought this flashlight because my pepper plants developed a hornworm problem and I was told that UV light reveals them very well at night. As it turns out — it’s true! This worked wonderfully for that! Good light with a decent size beam and seems to have a fair amount of power to it, (fluorescing) things lit up brightly and clearly.It also lights up a wide variety of stains you can’t necessarily see under normal conditions… yikes. The good news is though, that shining the light and not seeing any unexpected glowing after cleaning is just as satisfying as seeing the unexpected glowing beforehand is horrifying. You have been warned!

WORKS WELL, a little goofy putting batteries in. Good working size and easy to hold. Black makes it hard to see (for me) at night, so I have orange tape for faster recognition. The yellow lines show the contact for the negative positive terminals, the battery receptacle could be more solid with a redesign, the tension spring is weak, and batteries kept falling out during placement. UV light is bright and effectively pics up anything that reflects.
Perfect. Let me tell you, I have never ever been able to see the amount of jump on my floor clearer until we purchased this! Everything is so visible now!We use it daily especially since we have puppy’s who have accidents and without this light we wouldn’t be able to see their accidents.For the price I would highly recommend! Best bang for your buck!It’s easy to use and built like a rock! I dropped it and it’s still working great!
Works. Useful. Battery life was super short. May have been whim. Worked for identifying spots on floors and rugs you may not know where or if your pet had any accidents. Also worked for showing me my bathroom walls and where I missed washing them down for example.
Works as expected. Was able to see stains that were not visible in normal light. Helps really clean places and also see if areas that are expected to be clean actually are clean like hotels, public restrooms, etc.Would recommend as it is a tool against germs.
Strong light, well built. I used to have an old-style UV light that was mostly stolen. I was looking for a replacement because I have over 30 uses for it. From checking for AC leaks to cleaning carpets, walls, and anything else, this UV light has proven to be very versatile. I’ve even used it to cure a windshield chip repair, and it works exceptionally well.The size of the light is just right, and the light intensity is good even in bright daylight. The batteries seem to have a long lifespan, as I’ve used it for an extended period without any issues. Considering the number of LEDs, I was expecting high power consumption, but surprisingly, it doesn’t seem to be a problem.In my opinion, every household should have one of these UV lights. They are incredibly useful for cleaning toilets and ensuring that no spot is missed.
Works great for UV curing finishes on small jobs. The UV light was just delivered so I had to try it out with some UV curing wood finish I normally cure with sunlight.Worked perfectly, but it’s a small light so it probably isn’t suitable for more than a few square inches at a time. (Unless you want to spend a long time slowly moving it across the work area.) Just two minutes later, I had a finished hard coating.One warning though. When you put in the batteries, only unscrew the bottom cap. I removed the whole upper part with the LED assembly and it was tough to screw it back on.Overall, a great inexpensive solution. And, if our dog pees in the house, I guess I could use it for that too! 🙂
Very bright, spans wide. There’s nothing to dislike about this little black light! It works incredible. I’m able to see exactly where my old kitty sprays to clean it quickly and thoroughly. Also my grandson’s sticky little fingerprints. It’s bright, spans wide, lights up EVERYTHING!
Essential for Scorpion Hunting in Arizona. This UV flashlight is perfect for finding scorpions in the summer here in Arizona! It’s powerful, easy to use, and the scorpions glow brightly under the black light. I feel much safer knowing I can spot them. I highly recommend for anyone in scorpion-prone areas! I use this in my bedroom before I go to bed. I shine it everywhere – on the walls, under the bed, IN the bed, under the pillows. If you have ever been stung by a scorpion, you know why I am extra cautious. Pro tip – if you ever see a scorpion, do NOT smack it with a shoe. Mama scorpions carry their babies on their backs. If you smash a mama, you will scatter the babies everywhere.
