Would buy again, super cheap. You get what you get for the price you pay, or in this case a bit more. I purchased this one because it was the cheapest I could find (when it was on sale), and it exceeded my expectations. I purchased one before this that was more expensive and felt almost unusable because of it’s quality, and the Tpotato one greatly surpassed the other in terms of build quality.It works and it works well, I haven’t been using the file but it feels pretty sturdy. The little cup under the clippers to prevent cutting the quick is pretty useful for fine trimming but if you have a big dog like me you end up needing to cut a bit more off. Still, useful to have on there in case I ever need it. Highly recommend buying this if you need a cheap pair of trimmers for any sized dog!
Good product. My dog refuses to let me take her to the groomer for her nail trim. I got this and she finally lets me take care of her nails! I give her some peanut butter and she lets me clip away. Way easier and cheaper than taking her to a groomer.
Love them. I should have gotten these a long time ago!!! I have 9 dogs. After successfully clipping all their nails, I thanked my old trimmers and immediately threw them away.
Good quality. I was shocked at how good these products actually work considering the price. I was a little nervous because they are the cheapest clippers I’ve ever found. But they work amazing. I have two yellow labs both sitting around 89 pounds with thick nails and these work great.

It would be helpful if they offered a smaller size option for pet owners with smaller animals.- Pinching Risk: There’s a risk of pinching my hand when squeezing the handles of the clippers, especially if my dog becomes fidgety during the nail trimming process. Nice clippers. The nail clippers are great, good enough to cut my dogs super strong nails. Easy to use and I am happy with the quality. The nail file is pretty crap but I didn’t buy it for that so I don’t care.

Nice clippers. I have four animals that need their nails trimmed and these clippers are great for that job. I was using regular fingernail cutters before, and these made it so I could trim my animal’s nails in half the time. Nice and sharp, and they’re easy to handle. My only caution would be to be mindful of how much you’re cutting. I made a mistake and cut a little too deep, even with the guard in place. The file that is included is nifty, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it, to be honest. Definitely recommend.
Amazing for dinosaur talons (large dog). I have bought so many pair of clippers. Cheap, expensive, tried the dremel tools, which my dog is terrified of (getting better).I have a Catahoula/Coonhound mix around 75-80 lbs that has dinosaur talons for toenails. I don’t know how else to describe them and I’ve never seen dog toenails as thick as hers and they don’t wear down no matter how active we are. These clippers worked like a dream! They were quick and easy and sharp! Usually after one toenail is done she starts to alligator roll and it’s a whole production… We did a nail and it was so quick and easy and didn’t pinch or crack or spin her nail and I was prepared for what typically follows… Nothing, she sat and let me do all toes, no fuss, after that first nail was so simple and easy and fast. That’s never happened. I have no doubt it’s because of how quick and smooth it was. As someone else said in reviews that convinced me to get them, “smooth as butter.” I can’t believe what a difference a good pair has made!

Finally! This is the one. It work so much better than normal clippers. My dog hates getting them clipped and these are so much faster and shaper. Well build, comfortable in the hand, much quieter than my old ones. Idk about safety, that something you need to pay attention to but my anxious gold retriever agrees they’re a win.

Needed a Modification to be 5 Stars. I’ve been using these nail clippers for about 6 months. I adopted a 2 year old golden retriever with very thick, hard nails that I don’t think had ever been trimmed so we have been doing nail trims every 4 days to help the quick pull back. These clippers are still sharp and working well 6 months later. However, these clippers make a very loud snaping sound with each nail cut, which is due to the insides of the handles touching under force once the nail is cut and no longer providing resistance. My dog was flinching with each snap and becoming fearful. I solved this by putting a small piece of adhesive foam on the inside of one handle where the two handles were touching. It doesn’t impact the usability of the motion of the clippers but it prevents the sound. The foam falls off on occasion and I just cut a new piece from my foam pad. They would be 5 stars if the handles didn’t touch or they came with a sound dampner pre-installed.Just a side note, the guard is just an estimate and you need to know how to locate the quick so you don’t over trim – clipping the quick so the dog bleeds is the fault of the user, not the clippers. Please educate yourself on proper nail trim techniques – there are lots of YouTube videos and websites, or ask your vet to show you.
Effective! Not just for dogs. These work great! My mom is diabetic and her you’re nails were out of control. They were so tough that the nurses were afraid to try and cut them in case they damaged her skin. We tried regular nail clipped, specialized clippers and nothing worked. She saw me clipping my dogs nails and asked if I could use these on her you’re nails, so I did. Knowing all the challenges we’ve had I wasn’t optimistic. But I was very surprised. These cut her dinosaur toe nails fast and with no effort from me. I was very excited and my mom was happy to finally trim her toe nails because they were starting to hurt when she put on her house slippers. Great tool to have on hand. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
