It definitely keeps sand out while walking on the beach, at least for me. I don’t understand why several have taken off a star because it didn’t keep the sand out- Well, I’ve worn these three times for 2-3 mile walks along the coast and back up to the car with no problems. I’ve had three other styles of water shoes that DID let in sand to the point of insanity however (even a little sand coming in and rubbing against your foot will be annoying as heck) but these were fine. That is exactly why I bought them in the first place- friends reported that they worked. And they do. Maybe the negative reviewers got a size that was a little too big for them? What do I know…
Buying again. I owned these for over a year and they lasted great the entire time (up until I lost one of them in the ocean after getting hit by a big wave while swimming). Overall, these water shoes were always packed for every weekend trip to the lake or beach. I wanted them so that I could protect the bottom of my feet in case I stepped on anything while swimming. They never ripped, were easy to clean, and very comfortable. The -1 star is because I ordered the perfect size, but walking under water would cause them to occasionally start to slip off, but not often enough to be an inconvenience.
Initial impression is good. First impression is really good. They are a true to size on the fit. The sole is a tiny bit long in the heel like other have mentioned but it’s not an issue. My favorite thing is the wide toe, they’re shaped like a wide toe box shoe so lots of wiggle room for the toes to spread out.
Happy with purchae. Purchased for use at indoor water park. Cheap and lightweight for fitting in carryon luggage. Have some traction and felt better not walking around in hotel barefoot.
As advertised. They stayed on and protected my feet. The fabric showed signs of wear early and pulled around some rocks when it came in contact. But the sole stood strong and never separated from the fabric. We did a lit of rocky beaches, so they did their job.
Good choice depending on need. This is exactly what we needed for our waterpark trips.Pros: no zippers / metal, so they’re acceptable for waterparks. Fit is tight enough to stay put. Lightweight and easy to walk in. There’s a rubber sole that allows you to wear them comfortably, thought I wouldn’t recommend for long distances.Cons – if you want to call them that: Soles are fairly thin. While that was fine for what we needed, I would not wear these in other situations that might be on rockier / slippier surfaces.
Very good shoes for the money with a wide toe box. The shoe fits you have to adjust it a little bit, but it’s very good and very great if you wanna go to the pool or just walk barefoot

The problem was not with the shoes themselves, but with the order fulfillment process.Despite this inconvenience, I still believe the shoes are good and serve their purpose well. If the sizing and shipping accuracy improve, this would definitely be a great purchase. I recommend double-checking the size as soon as the package arrives.
