  1. Oh the joy of instant results. My cats and dogs always take interest in doing things they absolutely should not. Things like climbing Christmas trees, exploring internal parts of electric organs, ripping up the window blinds, getting under the kitchen cabinets, hanging out under ladies dresses, etc. The dogs really like a lot of the same things but they REALLY like the litter boxes. (Gross!!)They’re always trying to smell and eat the houseplants. They’re all very interested in licking the dinner plates clean as well. And although I appreciate the offer to help, I do not want them eating people food because we don’t always eat as healthy as they do.I have one cat that is very vocal at night when he’s assaulting stuffed animals and I can’t stand it because it wakes me up and I have a very hard time getting back to sleep. This is what they make this for. It not only scares the pants off of them, it has a pleasant smelling pheromone that lingers and reminds them that what they just did is still not ok.It’s pricy, but man oh man does this stuff work. After a while it even teaches them not to do it anymore so it makes for more well behaved pets, but also a more respectful family unit. The cats used to chase the dogs (yes you read that correctly), pounce on the dogs when they rounded corners, attacked the dogs while they jumped on or off the furniture, or napped unsuspectingly; They’re no longer doing those things. The dogs used to sneak into the office to grab some litter nuggets for a quick pick-me-up between meals; Now a thing of the past.If you doubt this is true, prove yourself wrong. Or prove yourself right. Either way, you’ll have tried everything and will know what does or doesn’t work. This stuff also works as a deterrent without using it just by picking it up and showing it to them. Sometimes I have to take the lid off if I’m out of their field of vision and whatever it is they were doing just stops. They will call your bluff sometimes though so it’s good to have some left to spray. They will try you from time to time.Be prepared. Be very prepared.

  4. It works if used consistently. I have a very reactive chi mix who flips out barking at cars, people, animals, houseguests, neighbors, etc. I bought this as an alternative to whistles and spray/shock collars. At first, I used it sparingly and inconsistently due to its high price and doubt over the efficacy. It didn’t have much of a long term effect. However, once I started using it and carrying it whenever I took my dog out, it has worked wonders. Even after just a week, my dog is finally responding to a quiet command and restraining himself from barking at everything, which has kept him out of the anxiety spiral. Now I hardly ever need to spray it. The spray has an interesting combo of a startling noise and calming scent. Sometimes I let my dog sniff the nozzle just so he calms down and is aware I have it on hand. Neighbors have commented on his change in behavior. I highly recommended this as a training tool. *NOTE* the can is very pressurized and the nozzle is sensitive, so you must take care when removing and replacing the cap or holding it. We leave it uncapped.

  6. Stopped nipping immediately. We adopted a young dog from the shelter who was been great except for a problem with nipping us and the kids several times a day. A friend suggested this product and the first time we used it, the nipping stopped immediately. We don’t even have to spray it now, just picking up the bottle is enough for her to stop unwanted behaviours.Would have given 5 stars except that the lid is made so that every time you put it back on, it causes some of the spray to discharge which is annoying because it’s such a small bottle and it’s wasting a lot of it.

  9. Changed my life. I have an 8-month-old Mini Schnauzer who would scream at the top of his lungs every time we passed a person or another dog. His shrill and ear-splitting scream was so loud that the neighbors would come out of their houses to make sure he wasn’t being murdered. I would apologize profusely and show said neighbors that I was not, in fact, murdering my puppy, but was actually trying to distract him with my expensive Boar’s Head chicken. (The chicken method clearly didn’t work).I happened upon a neighbor with two really well-behaved dogs, who had been insanely reactive just two weeks prior. She told me about this spray and I figured, what do I have to lose? I bought some and took it with me on my next walk. Sure enough, Scooter (my pup) started screaming like a maniac. I once again tried the chicken distraction method to no avail. I then pulled out this can of magic and released a quick spray.Scooter jumped in surprise and immediately stopped barking. Once he was quiet, I praised him and gave him the chicken. We walked a little further and it happened one more time. I sprayed, he stopped, and I praised and rewarded him. AND THAT WAS IT!!! He figured out really quickly that screaming gets a loud spray and decided not to do it anymore. Even our trainer was amazed.I love that this training method did not hurt him whatsoever. It’s literally a can full of nice-smelling air. That’s it. I still carry it with me on walks and if he starts squeaking at all, I just have to show it to him and he stops immediately. I then reward him for staying quiet.

Not many barks in a can. I have to say this does shut the dog up but my dog barks a lot! Not many shots in a can for the $$. Much larger can for the price would be worth it.

  11. Great product! Stops unwanted behavior immediately (even with distractions). There were a lot of reviews about the size of the product compared to the price. We have sprayed 2 times, and we don’t even need to spray anymore (so I’m unsure of how many sprays are currently left in the can). If we show our pup the bottle and say “no ___”, he stops the unwanted behavior. Even during playtimes and with distractions around! I am glad I made this purchase.

  12. WORKS! Traumatizing but WORKS. Tried this, literally scared my Great Pyrenees into submission. Now all I have to do is hold the bottle and he stops what he is doing. Has a flowery smell which is kinda gross. But a can of compressed air does the same thing…without the smell. Worth the $20 to learn compressed air works just as well.

  13. Just sprayed a few times. My dog will stop chewing or barking when he sees us grab the can now.

  14. Cat hates it… WIN. This stuff is great! I’ve tried spray bottles but she stopped caring. This is the only thing she’s really scared of. All I have to do is grab the can and she runs off. Smells pretty good too!

  15. Works like a charm. I had this recommended for training my service dog years ago, tried it for my newest Rescue. Amazed by the difference I am seeing in her!

Didn’t completely work. Startles my pup, but doesn’t get him to stop barking. The can only lasted 3 days. Way too expensive to only last a few days.

  19. Great training tool. I used this on our puppy to stop his constant barking when people would walk by, pets walk by…and he was very active trying to get at them. Just remember when using, to hold it away from your pet 12 – 18 inches…it sprays and has a loud sound together. We now just have to hold the can up for him to get the message to stop a bad behavior. Occasionally, we need to use it but not often. It works on cats too!!! Highly recommend this product.
