Don’t know how I lived without it 😉. I’ve only had this for one night, so take this with a grain of salt, but I love this thing.First, let’s talk customer service: In preparation for receiving this item, I looked for the ap to download it. Then I reread the description, and realized it only mentioned linking with android systems. I was very disappointed, and posted a question. I got an answer from another buyer, who said they did not think there was an app for iOS. I directly submitted a question to the seller, because no app means one more device that picks up the signal for my oscillating fan, and my diffuser, which is extremely annoying while listening to music at night. Well, it turns out that there’s a generic type of app that interfaces with the projector, and it works quite well. The second best part of this story is that the seller sent an answer within an hour.Now about the viewing experience: Amazing. Mesmerizing. My bedroom is 14’x17’, with a ceiling that goes from 8’ high up to 12’. This projector situated on my headboard broadcasts the lights across the whole ceiling, and down the walls past the level of the doorknobs.The movement is smooth, there’s no little bumps or jerks when the lens moves. In my room, the corner nearest the projector of course, the colors are very vivid, and it decreases as it goes away from the projector, but even at the furthest corners, it’s still intense enough to enjoy the view. At that distance, it’s like watching the smoke from a bonfire drift away. Very pretty and soothing.The stars effect is pretty awesome. You can adjust the number of stars to suit your mood, or turn them off entirely. You can also choose to have them fade in and out, in the app it’s labeled “breathe”. I prefer it to the steady lights. I think it would be nice to have them flicker a little, but I’m still very pleased with the effect.The speaker is surprisingly good. I wasn’t expecting to get reasonably good quality sound. There’s no base, and it’s not very loud, but it’s fine for soft classical music to sleep by.Honestly, I’d love to link this light with my alarm, and have it come on, and gradually brighten as the alarm time gets closer.I did have some issues last night with the projector disconnecting the Bluetooth signal from my phone, but I didn’t have that issue this morning when I was checking out the features.It’s VERY bright, even on its lowest setting with the cover on… wouldn’t recommend it as a night light. I do however, really like the 5 levels of brightness.Soooo…. I probably wouldn’t have purchased this if it hadn’t been a Prime Day special, so I’m really glad to have have it.There’s a few little quirks I have yet to figure out, but it’s like user error, rather than an issue with the projector.

Only lasted a few months. I loved this Egg projector I wish it would have lasted longer. It has a Bluetooth speaker but the speaker doesn’t sound good. It has relaxation music preloaded onto the speaker so you have the ability to play the relaxation sounds while in the dark room projecting any color you want. My favorite is the aquarium/ aquamarine color with green stars. After a few months it started turning off for some reason I replaced the power cord with another usbc and that helped for a while but it happened again. I wish I was able to get a replacement but its been to long it was fun while it lasted.

Awesome. OK… I almost didn’t order this reading some reviews. One in particular stated that there are only four different settings. This is user error. The buttons on the unit only provide a few functions, you can access all the functions with the remote control.It isn’t perfect, but it’s not very expensive. People complained about the speaker. I mean, come on, it’s a tiny little unit, not something meant for a dance party. Another review stated you could not turn off the blue tooth. Yes you can turn off the blue tooth, and it has a chime that lets you know when it is on. It’s the design of bluetooth, it is discoverable. If you aren’t connected, someone else can connect… Be smart… Again, user error.Another review talked about it being dangerous to eyesight?!?! It should not be directed anywhere at line of sight, if it is relocate it. Even then, was this reviewer staring into it? Bizarre.I got this to put in my 6 year olds bedroom when he falls asleep. I wondered if it would keep him awake especially because even at the lowest setting it is pretty bright… Nope! He falls right asleep.It is portable, and I we brought it into my bedroom for him to crawl in bed with me and enjoy. I have netting hanging above and around my bed. This was amazing, the stars which are green BTW showed on the mosquito netting and made it appear as if we were surrounded by them. Guess who now has the same netting around his bed?!?The sound feature is a bit strange in selection, yes there is a barking dog on one and a mooing cow on another. My son thinks it’s hilarious. Am I putting it on for him to sleep? Of course not, there’s plenty to choose from. Here’s an idea, don’t select those strange ones. Why do you even need to complain about it?Critical side/cons… The gradual on/off of the “stars” isn’t exactly smooth.You can’t select just the nebula. It is stars on or gradual on/off but no off. I do wonder if it is supposed to have a nebula only option and stars off and my remote or unit is missing that “prompt?”The timer function can be hard to access, it gives you a chime to let you know.If you are connected via bluetooth and attempt to turn off the projector, it will not turn off until you disconnect.The pros of this thing far far outweigh the cons considering the price. It is fun, my son loves it saying it is the best “night light” ever. I’m honestly considering one for my room. And yeah, I might look for a fancier one with more bells and whistles and maybe a realistic star and galaxy projection. And yeah, if I do will I be paying a lot more? Absolutely. I’ll probably just get another one of these.Totally worth every penny. Don’t listen to the bad reviews, they are mostly nonsense.

This thing is beautiful and creates such a relaxing ambient effect in your living room or bedroom at night, plus this Rosetta Star has a ton of features and modes to run with. Easy enough to use and comes with a remote as well.
