Excellent Product – Works Wonders On Everything Steel or Iron. Some people use the Magic Eraser or other products to clean the porcelain range top. For many years I’ve used Quad Ought (0000) Steel Wool to not only clean the porcelain stove top.. but many other steel items. In fact, it’s great on the Toaster Oven’s Window with burned on splatters! This steel wool WILL NOT scratch glass. I’ve used it on our home’s windows too to remove stains and gunk which have blown onto them. I’ve used it on our Stainless Steel skillet bottoms and pans which have burned on protean on them. Just add a little chlorinated cleanser and scrub away! Just remember to go with the GRAIN of the steel. You’ll get it clean and a nice shine. Same for porcelain coated steel.I’ve been using this for 30 years or more and I highly recommend it.
Used to make oxyabs. Working very well. – Made in China- Decently thick bag but can’t be resealedI use this to make my own oxygen absorbers. Given the state of things these days, prepping has apparently become a lot more widespread, plus the gov’t supply chain choke, so my few trusted suppliers are always out. I won’t buy oxyabs from just anyone so making my own seemed more reliable.This size strand is perfect. It rusts quickly, which is what an oxyab needs to do to eat the oxygen.There is dust in handling these but that should be expected for this size strand.I would have appreciated a resealable bag but it’s not a huge deal.They can be cut with a sturdy pair of scissors. Powerful scrubber. Those green abrasive pads don’t work as good as these do. Although be care with you use it on nonstick pots and pans.( don’t judge lol)It is extremely powerful even without soap. It’s not difficult to take the teflon up with the stuck on stuff.
Does the job. I used the 0000 steel wool & some Mother’s chrome polish to remove the beginnings of some pitting/rust on the stanchons on my mountain bike forks. They polished up nicely & no longer leak after replacing the seals & putting in fresh oil.
very fine steel wool. I like using this steel wool to plug up cracks or spaces before I caulk where bugs or vermin may try to sneek in the house or garage.
No more rust. Firearms stored in a shed in Tennessee will rust. This, along with some oil, removed the rust very well without removing any bluing.
Poor Sheep. This super fine steel wool is excellent for fine finishes. Keep the open and unused pads in a new, dry, Ziploc Bag. They last forever without rust.Feel sorry for the sheep that grew this stuff. It’s nothing I would want on a sweater!

Good product. 0000 steel wool is of good quality. Once in a while you get a strand that is oversize and poses a risk of scratching but in my experience they are far and few between and you can easily spot the anomalous strand and remove it. Good price on bulk

Good stuff for guitar finishing. Love these for rubbing the back of my guitar neck after finishing. They make it so the hand slides so easily and smoothly. I always keep them in stock in my shop.
