Walk Talkie. Just received today. So far so good, but one Lanyard was broken.I would like to receive a LanyardThe real test woo come next week on Dec 11th at my event. I just received this collection today and I like them.
Works great but…one is defective. Walkie-talkies work great. However 1 of the 4, the call function would only ring itself and would not call the others or receive calls from the others. I saw a couple other reviews that had this same problem, so I expect the company will send replacement as they did with the others.Update: This seller never responded and didn’t replace the defective one I received when I first purchased them, and 6 months later another won’t power on or charge. So, out of the 4 I paid for, one won’t turn on or charge, and another turns on but doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money, spend a little more and get some walkie talkies that actually work.
Horrible range. Pros: big and clunky so I guess it’s hard to lose them. Battery life was ok.Cons: #1 worst thing is the range. We measured it to be 0.15 miles. and that was in a extremely flat area with a few, small ranch style houses. basically 1-2 blocks in a ranch house neighborhood. Sound quality is not great. there’s a delay when pushing the button, so you can’t immediately start talking, you have to kind of wait a second, and then start talking. They’re pretty bulky with big antennas but also feel cheap. Also, was missing some pieces, did not receive all 4 radios and everything that was advertised.I returned them a week ago and still no credit from seller.Would not recommend
Saved my husband’s life. I don’t normally take the time to go back on here and write reviews, but this time, I need to. My husband and his friend decided to ski/snowboard down a very advanced trail up in Yosemite near Badger Pass. The trail is about 2 miles long, and since we’ve gotten tons of snow lately, they thought it would be fun. The fresh snow was unbelievably deep & the trail had too many flat areas for the snowboard. So the snowboarder literally got stuck. My husband was on skis and could move on the snow, but he couldn’t just leave his friend behind. They tried to walk with ski/snowboard boots. Every step they sank to their thighs in heavy powder. They spent 2 hours at a grueling pace in daylight, then 4 more in the dark. It took a total of 3 hours to cover 0.6 miles. Family members flagged down park service rangers for help, and the rangers were able to communicate via the walkie talkie and locate their coordinates using the blue dot on Maps on my husband’s iPhone (no reception necessary). The rangers said that in the dark, they would never attempt a search without the coordinates and the radios. After going to get extra snowshoes, Gatorades, etc, the rangers snow shoe’d the 0.4 miles to my husband and our friends. Nearly 7 hours after they started on the ski trail, after using these walkie talkies to communicate with family & park rangers, my husband & our friend were able to get out of there alive. These radios reach about 1 mile, the battery life is good, & they seem very resistant to water. I bought these for Christmas and thought, “these would be good for when we go skiing, you know, just in case someone falls or whatever”. I am a very thankful mother & wife today because of these walkie talkies. Without them, my husband & our friend might not have made it out.
so far so good. Good looking W/T for the price. I’m sure they’d charge faster via those contacts at the bottom instead of usb. One of them would turn off on its own and then would not turn on (after charging all of them). Turns out one of the plastic pillars that holds the units 2 halves together, also pins down a battery conductor. Well during molding or assembly plastic was wedged so that it wasn’t making contact. Just scrapped it off and it works! Now to test them out camping where our phones don’t work next week! : lol
3 out of the 4 worked. excited to get them unboxed and charged up for an upcoming trip. went to test them out and found that only 3 of the 4 worked. could not find an option to reach the seller directly. best amazon customer service could do is offer a $20 credit toward an item shipped and sold by amazon(like finding gold anymore on anything worth while) or returning the order as they said replacing the single radio wasnt an option. didnt see the point in returning the whole order with the upcoming trip and needing the radios. guess 3 will have to do for now.Update was able to get with the seller and worked on troubleshooting. Still not able to get it working, but they are going to send a replacement. Updating to 4 stars
Excellent product for the price. I purchased these for camping and other events our family participates in. We usually use our phones to check in with each other, but sometimes there is no cell service, or our group includes kids who don’t have a cellphone. In those instances, we use these radios. I’m very pleased with this product. They seem to be well made and are durable, which is a huge factor for us. I like that they are different colors (the kids like picking the color they want for the day) and that each one comes with its own carrying case, earbuds, and charging cable. I also like that it’s very easy to use: even the kids use them effectively. We’ve not had an issue with the range, although we’ve not tested how far away we can be from each other and still communicate. So far, they charge in the timeframe indicated, and the battery life is as expected, depending on how much the radio is used. I definitely recommend this product.
Usually you get what for for. I manage event parking and some locations are large enough that the walkie talkies are a must. What I like about these is that there’s 5 of them and the range meets the application I use them for. The only thing I didn’t like is when your in like a downtown area in a big city the range advertised for an area obstructed with large buildings is not accurate. For the price I feel they are worth the money and at least for what I use them for I would recommend this item.
Awesome purchase for camping. They came with everything necessary to get started right away. They came with batteries, earphone attachments, USB chargers (3 charge to one USB which was great too), belt clip, and even detachable lanyard to hold them, and bag for each one for storing when done). I gave my son (16yrs) the task of setting them up and teaching us how to use them and it was easy!We had absolutely no cell phone service and were in a company of about 50+ people spread across 7 campsites. Not to mention all of the hiking, river/tubing, basketball, bathroom places. So as a family of six we each had one and was able to communicate super fast with one another as opposed to trying to search each place for any family member.

This is a #1. I spent so much more money In trying to get a good Walkie Talkies for the daycare. This product was rated #5or 6. The #1 was the Motorola and I got those. In 2 weeks I was happy to send it back. Very complicated, the battery have to be charged every other day and two had a malfunction. It had been 1 week since I got these devices and the batteries are still fully charged. It is so perfect for a daycare, school or church. I rate it a #1. I am satisfied with this device.
Works as expected. Decent range of like a mile or so thru the woods with no hills in the way. The charging cord bit the dust after only a few uses, but these use USB-B so that wasn’t a huge issue. Great for camping with the kids when you have no cell service. NOAA Weather Radio feature works great. All hazards. May save your life.
