Great size and quality. I have been concerned with using plastic bags for poop for several years now. What will people 30 years from now ask themselves when they’re swimming in a sea of plastic bags filled with poop? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING???!!! So, for a year or two now I have been using waxed paper for picking up poops. It worked fine, but did require some prep (folding up waxpaper sheets for taking in a pocket) and were hard to use in windy weather. Still, I felt like I was doing something important: some small thing that I could do to make a difference. Then someone mentioned recyclable/compostable bags and I thought back about how I’d heard that a lot of them don’t really work very well. That they are not really quickly compostable. Doing some research and finding that these bags had a good rating for composting properly, I decided to try them. These are just wonderful. Nice and big: I like to pick up more than one incident in my bag before disposing of it and it can hold 5 or 6 movements without any problem. The fabric is very strong and sturdy and I have yet to poke a hole while trying to pick something up, even when it’s the 4th or 5th pickup. These bags have really simplified my dog walking experience: I love them!
Mostly pleased. In researching for this product, I noticed there are a number of other similar products using the verbiage of “biodegradable,” “earth friendly,” and “compostable.” Dig a little deeper, and you’ll discover there are in reality very few companies making poop bags that are indeed these things, at least in keeping with what most consumers envision when we read those descriptions. This poop bag does require a specialized community compost in order for it to break down in keeping with its claims. One cannot simply throw these bags into your own home compost and expect it to break down within the time frame it claims nor does it break down in landfills the same way it would in an industrial compost site. That is all upfront in the claims written about this product. So, they’re not trying to hide or obscure anything about that fact.I don’t have a community compost where I can take these poop bags, but of all the products available, this is the best option imo.So, far they’ve held up to our dog’s poop. Our dog is 45 lbs and poops accordingly…not huge poops, not little poops. ;)My husband did have the first two bags split open on him, but I haven’t had any trouble at all with the bags splitting. They dispense easily, are long enough to tie off easily without having to come in contact at all with the poop, thick enough that I am not squeamish about picking the poop up or carrying the bag.The only test I haven’t run yet is to tie the bag onto my dog’s collar when we’re on a run together. If it holds up to that jostling, it’s one sturdy bag. I have yet to see, however.Overall, I am very pleased with this product.
100% Compostable. These bags are great, very happy with my husband’s purchase of these Planet Poop dog bags. The length of the bag is excellent, it has handles that you can easily tie together after picking up dog waste. I know it doesn’t really matter as you’re just picking poo, but the design on the front of the bag is quite cute as well. Seems very durable, as I was walking for some time until I found a trash to dispose the bag. I appreciate that it’s made from organic plants and that the company proudly displays and supports Mission Pawsible.org. Definitely not the cheapest bag, but we’re really trying to cut back on our single use plastic and this is one way we can do that.Cute, green and we will be ordering this bag again.

Love these bags so much! Love loVE LOVE. I hate having to pick-up sh!t with my hands! But I worry about the planet… If you too worry that you dog’s doo is just sitting in a landfill, encased in a well-protected, green, “baggie bubble,”DON’T! Buy these! With this bag, you can rest guiltlessly knowing, it is actually biodegrading at about the same rate as the poop is!Doubtful?!?Just leave a bag, (empty or full, your call…) outside somewhere. Then leave for a two week vacation. When you return, it may LOOK like your bag, but when you move it, the bag will disintegrate, dissolving before your eyes, and between your fingers, until nothing is left but starchy dust and crumbs.I should mention; these bags have HANDLES!!! Decent length handles, enough to tie off, and still leave enough of a loop, to hang from the leash, until you find a can.Roll is slightly bigger than other brands, butWILL ABSOLUTELY FIT in the standard bone, and pill-shaped dispensers. PLANET POOP RULES!
Can handle bernese mountain dog poops with so much room to spare. Great bags! Nonscented, sturdy material and the shape of them makes picking up a 110 lb bernese mountain dog’s poops a breeze. They’re more expensive than their plastic counterparts but for me they’re worth it for the better poop pick up experience and contributing less to single use plastics. The handles are useful, but not too long- usually other handled bags have shallow, actual compartments where your hand goes, so the handles flop down and put you in the danger zone of “secondhand poop touch.”These bags are nice and long with plenty of room for your hand and your wrist, and the 3D shape, like a box, gives your fingers plenty of maneuverability. Which can be important, when you have a dog that likes to poop in weird places, on pebbles, and on sticks. As I always say, in both picking up dog poop and washing dishes, better tools make for a less miserable experience. Always get the best bags (and best dish gloves!) for the job.Plus they’re made in australia! That’s pretty cool!
Sturdy and easy to use…with one occasional weakness. This is the best bag I have found so far… and have been using various dog poop bags every day for a variety of dogs for more than 40 years. Large enough for big dogs, easy to tear off and easy to open. Also easy to secure/knot once they are used. I am sold!I have one caveat after using these bags for awhile—one that will not make me quit using them—but every now and then one of the bags will have a weak bottom seam and I find myself picking up dog poop with my bare hand. I now have to remember to check the bottom seam before using the bag. That is a small thing (depending on your point of view and the size of your dog) but every other feature of these bags is completely superior to others.
These bags are in a whole other level of quality. The media could not be loaded. These are without a doubt the best bags we have ever had. Everything about them is perfect. First the feel. They have this unique texture that works with your fingers to open up effortlessly. They roll out and dispense incredible because of the deep perforated cut that separates them. And they are folded in a way that when you first open them by rubbing your thumb and finger together, you are already holding the inside of one handle and the bag is open. The tall aspect is awesome. Everyone has run into the issue where puppy has had some tummy trouble and the only way to clean up is to pull up some grass too. With regular bags, you can run out of plastic as you pull grass and end up with a dirty hand. But these bags are so long you are practically covered to your elbow when you reach through and I’ve never even worried about that issue since. They are thick and sturdy to keep smells in and not swinging through the air on your way to the drop off. Plus to know on top of everything this bag does that is so much more than any cheap plastic bag, this one helps solve a plastic problem instead of adding to it. FANTASTIC JOB GUYS! You have a customer for LIFE !!!

Poop has never been so fun. First, I really don’t know what to say about how fast these get here. I order them, and they are incredibly sitting on my door step in about 2-3 hours. Tell the truth – is someone from Amazon perpetually sitting in my apartment complex parking lot with several boxes of these in their trunk, just waiting for me to place this order each month? Second, I have gone through a lot of poo bags (more than I wish I had) with my three dogs (don’t tell, I’m only supposed to have two dogs here). These bags seem thin at first, but they do will not tear. The seams are strong. The bags are large enough for my fat hand and for picking up a good sized poo by my wonder pooper, Wompit, the three-legged lab, and his older sister Cassie, also a lab. Wish they would go at the same time – I think one bag would handle two poos at once with still plenty of room to tie it off. Third, these are plant-based and compostable – safe, safe, safe for the environment! OK, I am kind of a granola from Pac NW, but still, these are a great product all the way around, and easily the best poo bags I’ve used over the past ten years.
Legit eco-friendly bags, but some fall apart when using. We like these bags, buy them regularly, and like the company. Sometimes, though, we get a whole box of bags that fall apart when we try to use them (which can cause some unpleasantness). Probably related to their desirable biodegradability, maybe some batches get overheated or something.
Good bags, but could use one improvement. Good = fully compostable, long handles. Bad = Should have different color “almost empty warning” on the next to last bag. No one likes to be caught empty handed on a longer, multi-poop walk.
Love the handles – wish they were wider. I love these bags! Especially because they are earth friendly and have handles. The handles make them easier to tie up! I have a pitty mix so she takes big poos so I do wish the bags were wider so that they when she has the really big ones – I don’t fret.
essy to open and tie up. easy to open and tie up
The only doggie poop bags I buy. These bags are great! They are soft but strong and they are compostable. The price is great too.
They actually compost. I love these bags. They actually breakdown in an above-ground backyard compost! I’m so happy I don’t have to keep digging holes around my yard to bury dog poo and poo bags.A few tips for those wishing to compost these bags:1. Always add a sufficient amount of “brown” material when poo is tossed in your compost. Shredded paper and non-clumping pine or paper cat litter have worked great for me, as they soak up moisture emitted from the poo, detract flies and other insects, and help reduce nasty smell.2. Try not to knot the bags when tossing them in your compost pile. I’ve noticed that when knotted, the bags take longer to breakdown.3. Toss in other “green” materials along with poo and bags, like kitchen scraps and grass clippings. This will help heat up your compost pile and speed up the breakdown process of the bags.4. When possible, turn your compost often (once a week). And always make sure dog poo and poo bags are covered by brown material or finished compost. This will help reduce smell and improve the composting process. These bags are strong and large enough to hold a massive amount of poop. The handles are so nice. Just stop stressing over dog poop and buy these bags 🙂
Perfect blend of odor control, good hand protection and handy handles. When dealing with something as mission critical as handling my dogs poop, I insist on certain performance metrics. Odor control is king as this thing has to live in our garage trash until garbage day. Right up there with it is hand protection. I’m gonna lose my breakfast if this thing tears mid-pick-up. and finally once it’s bagged I’ve got to get it home while handling a golden retriever peak squirrel season. The handles slip neatly onto the side of my treat bag/poop bag roll dispenser. Finally, need to know I’m doing my best to take care of the planet. These bags are home compostable and although I am not composting at the moment, I know these plant-based bags aren’t hanging around the planet too long.
Use these and not plastic poop bags. Love that these are plant-based, compostable and not plastic! They are also very high quality and the material feels so much nicer than the plastic ones! Best brand I’ve tried.
not what i wanted. Used this brand for years will no longer be using them going forward and returned my last order
Poor Quality – Bag Tear Just By Opening It. Terrible bags. They tear just trying to open them and tear down the sides as you are trying to pickup after your dog. I never write reviews, but after struggling to use these bags for weeks, especially on the walk we just came back from, I felt compelled to write this review. These bags are worthless. They tear down the side just by simply opening them. Putting your hand inside the bag to scoop up your dog’s poop further tears the bag. I end up using two bags to pick up, and a third bag to carry it home. I purchased these bags when the other biodegradable bags I normally buy were out of stock. I will never buy Planet Poop bags again. Do not waste your money. Buy the MUAMUA brand bags instead, they are larger and much stronger.
