Is this really possible. “Bernie’s Perfect Poop”. Whoa is this real? Anyone else tried this? We have had our Frenchie puppy for two months now, and I don’t think he has taken a normal poop the entire time. It’s been nothing but gross loose shooting out poops. We’ve tried changing foods, we put him on parasite meds in case he has giardia, we have given him anti-diarrheal medicine, I was at my wits end. I decided to buy some of this perfect poop the other day from Amazon and follow the directions and I was kind of shocked that after the very first time he ate it, I saw what looked like an almost normal poop for the first time in the entire time we’ve had him. I was half expecting this not to work at all, or to take a week or two to see any kind of resolution because we’ve been let down with every change we’ve ever made. I gave it to him for the second time today and again, I saw what looked like a normal poop, followed by some pretty gross stuff at the very tail end of it. But I’m still pretty, amazed that it actually seems to make a difference which is kind of shocking.Anyone else try this stuff? Curious if this is something to keep him on long term or what the story is there. So far so good! I’ll update my review if things change.
Lifesaver for Puppy Diarrhea. Here’s my puppy diarrhea story -My sweet labradoodle puppy has had diarrhea since we adopted him. Countless switching of foods and saw some improvement once we moved from a chicken to a lamb based food (which I would highly recommend if your puppy or dog has regular diarrhea, many dogs are sensitive to it and you would never guess)Saw a bit of improvement on Victor Lamb and Brown Rice food, until his bouts of nighttime diarrhea started. I dewormed him thinking it could be that but no improvement. I was up every hour and a half, 4-7 times a night for my lil man to do the hershey squirts. Poor guy. Took him to the vet who put him on Metronidazole, which worked instantly, but as soon as the dose was up his nighttime diarrhea started again. I ordered an allergy test for him, only to get the results that he was clear for everything I fed him. So that didn’t help either. Additionally, my puppy acted COMPLETELY normal besides the diarrhea, so I was positive there wasn’t something else underlying.I was at a complete loss of what to do. In a last ditch effort, I decided to order this and try it out.I saw initial bits of improvement when I sprinkled this on his food, but not enough to make a difference. (I started with the 1/4 serving like it says and slowly sprinkled a bit more on his food each day. Unfortunately the nighttime diarrhea continued. I came back to these Amazon reviews searching for guidance or other thoughts and saw another reviewer mention that he gave his Yorkie puppy a tablespoon on its food each morning, which ultimately resolved its diarrhea. Last ditch effort round 2, I topped my puppy’s food with a full tablespoon (from previous ~1 teaspoon) thinking that his diarrhea couldn’t get any worse anyways, so why not shoot for the moon.HALLELUJAH, literal immediate results. No more night time diarrhea, literal perfect poops! When I take him off of it, the diarrhea comes back. I’ve heard some puppies just grow out of the soft stools, so we’ll see how he does without it once he gets older. For now, major heartfelt gratitude for perfect poop for saving my sanity (and my pup). I LOVE YOU!
Not returnable so no guarantees. Dogs will not touch this stuff 😒 Amazon will NOT allow a return! I was just going to exchange it for the cheese flavor like the advertised guarantee says but instaed I’m out over 85 bucks. My 4 dogs still have mushy poo or the squirts. Even the vet can’t figure out the cause and no treatment has 100% cleared the issue.Update 9/14/23 I increased to four stars for customer service alone ! The company contacted me and refunded my order even though Amazon doesn’t do it 😒 I’m sure that is pain for the company the same as it is a pain for the customer . But they are keeping there word as a good company who stands behind there products (rare today)So to me Bernie’s Best has the best customer service !
IT WORKS. I have tried EVERYTHING (20+ products, veterinary prescriptions, cooked diet, pro and prebiotics, Chinese herbal remedies, etc… etc… etc…) over the past year to keep my 12 year old Pitbull from getting bouts of diarrhea. I used this as instructed and started out slow (eod), but his diarrhea continued, and at one point became much worse (watery) along with thee most horrific, nonstop gas I’ve ever witnessed in him… this continued for another week. I persevered and kept adding it to his morning meal because I know how sensitive digestive systems are and sometimes need a lengthy adjustment period, especially when adding probiotics. Finally, after 10 days his poop started to firm up. I’ve been giving this to him daily for the past 4 weeks (half the recommended dose) and he has had perfectly defined poop daily! and has had ZERO digestive upsets (gas). If you’re skeptical like I was, give it TIME, and go slow. Bernies Perfect Poop is seriously a lifesaver for my pitty, Brewer!! and ME.
Packaging. This packet comes in a small package I used them for my dog I really didn’t see any change in her she didn’t really seem to like them either I mainly feed her chicken. Started gotten where she didn’t want to eat anymore so I stopped using it. I’m sure others have great positive on this product My dog just I guess is a picky eater.
Seriously, a miracle…. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I don’t often leave reviews, but this has been such a game changer…I recently moved with my two fur babies, and shortly after getting settled in, they started to have tummy troubles… I didn’t know what to make of it. I thought maybe they drank still water from the field or ate a big ol’ bug or something and it’d pass quickly, because they weren’t acting like sick dogs. Until they were…I took them to the vet. They ran tests, confirmed no parvo, no giardia, nothing was wrong. They said they probably ate something that didn’t agree with them, gave me some probiotic paste and pills. Slapped me with a $500 bill, patted me on the a** and sent me on my merry way.The medicine seemed to help, but you eventually run out… and when I did the problem came back.After that, I tried everything. I changed their food to an easy to digest, probiotic packed kibble, but what worked for my boy for a bit did NOT work for my girl at all. So I put them on two different foods, and the problem still came back. I ordered some OTC pet probiotics since it seemed to help last time, but this time they made the problem way worse. I put them on a bland diet. I fasted them, but you can only do that for so long. Pumpkin, green beans, rice… nothing worked.I was in tears daily because I didn’t know what to do. I recently single and living on my own for the first time. I couldn’t afford running them to and from the vet at $500 a visit per dog just to hear that they’re fine. I couldn’t keep changing up their food because I wouldn’t know if the problem was worse because of the switch or because it wasn’t helping. Of course there’s the messes, but more than anything, I could tell they were uncomfortable. It hurt my heart to see them struggling so hard. I was totally and completely lost.I did ANOTHER google search, one last ditch effort, one more Hail Mary before I decided they were just old dogs and there wasn’t anything I could do to help them… and I found this recommended on a pet site. I’m like, shoot, I will try ANYTHING at this point, and for $20 it was a no brainer.It came quickly and I sprinkled it on their food. The difference was almost immediate. Nice, solid poops. I never thought when I got these dogs 10 years ago that I’d be doing a happy dance over their poops, but now it makes my day.My thanks cannot be overstated. Seriously, this has answered my prayers. Works amazing for my dog. This product has been a miracle for my 6 year old German Shepherd mix! I adopted him 3 years ago, and from day 1, he had very loose stool. It was formed but would disintegrate into mush when picking it up. He also had bouts of grainy pudding like stool at least once a week. He’s had numerous vet visits and many tests with no cause found. We’ve tried a variety of different foods including prescription foods with no change. We’ve also tried probiotics with no results. My dog had a lot of stinky gas, stinky stool, and bad breath.I stumbled upon numerous people recommending Bernie’s Perfect Poop on Reddit, so I researched the product and company and decided to give it a shot. Due to his weight, my dog’s recommended dose was 3-4 tablespoons. I started him on 1, and after 2 days, his stool was already more firm. I kept him on 1 tablespoon for a week and then increased to 1.5 tablespoons. After 2 days on this amount, his stool firmed up even more, and after several days, he had normal stool – firm but not hard or dry. After about 2 weeks on it, I noted a significant decrease in his gas, and his breath no longer reeks! He has now been on it over 4 weeks with no further increase in the amount I give him.While this product may not work for all dogs, I highly recommend giving it a shot if you’re at your wit’s end with loose stool and stinky gas and breath. Follow the instructions and start at a smaller dose and work your way up, you may find your dog needs a smaller amount than the recommended dose, although my dog may be an outlier in this regard.My dog loves the cheese flavor and gobbles up every crumb of this product with his food, but it should be noted my dog is not really a picky eater, so I can’t speak if it’s suitable for picky eaters.I am so happy I decided to give this product a try, as it has been a game changer after 3 years of loose stool.
works really well. We got a young dog and he developed the runs. This product was a godsend. It straightened his gut right out. I will use it in his food from now on.PS- he likes the taste. I forgot it once and gave it to him by itself and he ate it right up!
Definitely helped his poop. This product delivered what was promised, which was much healthier poops. I only gave it 4 stars because my dog did not like the taste and I therefore had to mix it in with his food. I’ve since found chewables he will eat without fuss, so I switched brands. But I would buy this again.
Dog Poop Issues…Goodbye. Wow…what is this magical potion?!?Backstory…my Frenchie had some stomach issues 2 weeks ago diarrhea & vomiting for a couple days. Literally 2 sleepless nights. I tried everything & decided to take him to the vet. Poop sample came back no problems, several medications & probiotics along with a $400 vet bill & no answers as to the cause other than just a bug. Great Supplement for Improving Your Dog’s Digestion. Bernie’s Perfect Poop has been a solid addition to my Siberian Husky’s diet. She’s had issues with soft stool and occasional difficulty with pooping since we rescued her, but adding this to her meals has really helped! We also started giving her pumpkin and switched her kibble to something with more fiber, and her digestion has noticeably improved.While this supplement alone didn’t completely resolve her issues, it’s been a great support for her overall digestive health. If your dog struggles with similar problems, this is definitely worth a try as part of a balanced approach to improving their digestion!
My dog never had a solid stool. From day one our aussie had soft runny, messy poop. We were trying everything. We spent money on special food, baby wipes and groomers. It would get so bad he would get it all over himself. The vet prescribed meds and I was researching constantly. I came across perfect poop and never looked backed. He has had 2 tablespoons everyday since and with in the first few days he had a solid poop. I can’t believe it. It works wonders. I add it to his food once a day. He would not eat the chicken flavor but he loves the cheese flavor. I bought small bags to try the flavors . I can’t believe the change in his stool. Perfect Name for this product. I recently switched my great Pyrenees’ food and followed the recommended feeding schedule for switching food, but his poop became very soft and stayed that way for a few weeks. I found this product on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I followed their gradual introduction of the product into his diet and by day 2, I already saw positive results and by day 3, he had Perfect Poop! As a responsible pet owner, I pick up after my dog when he poops on a walk. A giant dog produces massive poops, so you definitely don’t want it to be soft or runny. Perfect poop was the perfect solution for our situation. It’s easy to pick up using a poo bag. I am very appreciative of this product and will continue using. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Great product. I have a couple of Pugs with sensitive belly’s. The Vet recommended this and after using it for about 6 months now I can honestly say it’s a GREAT product. Keeps my dogs poops nice and healthy and my pugs are much happier with good digestion. It also seems to be helping their skin! Buy this!!!

This has been the best supplement to help my dog have a very healthy “bathroom” routine and it works amazingly well. Nothing is really perfect, but this is awfully amazing. I have a Golden Retriever mix w/Aussie Shepherd 78 pound, 3.5 years old. I got him at 1 year, 8 months and he had terrible poop. Previous family was feeding the cheapest dog food and I thought that was the problem, so I switched him (gradually) to Hills Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs, having had great success with other dogs eating that. Stool improved, but not great. Also, he is a VERY fussy eater about his kibble! He will of course eat anything I’m eating… Anyway, everyone kept saying add pumpkin and or rice. Tried this to little avail. He doesn’t like the pumpkin if it’s cold, and you can’t put too much in!! I have put in warm rotisserie chicken, which eventually proved to be too much protein as well as his own mini hamburger mixed in with his kibble, which was very successful for getting him to eat it, but still- soft stool. Argh!So I tried Optagest, which is a sugar-consistency prebiotic type thing. It helped, but a lot of the granules wound up on the bottom of the dish and that stuff was $28 for a fairly small jar! So, while searching on Amazon, I came across Bernie’s. Loved the website and enthusiasm so decided to try it. Got the Cheddar. Cheese flavor and started small, as you should always do, and within a few days, my dog had the most healthy stool he’d ever produced. And the. He wouldn’t eat the cheddar cheese stuff anymore, no matter how many freeze dried liver treats I crumbled and mixed in. Argh again!Got in touch with Bernie’s and they said they would be happy to send me the Chicken flavor, free of charge, and keep the Cheddar cheese. Maybe see if a friend wants to try it.Beyond the fact of how impressive this policy is was how friendly and helpful the staff is. Really know that you are cared about and valuable to them! Secondly, that new package was in my hands in 48 hours!! I’m not saying that’s normal, it certainly wasn’t expected, but WOW! So after trying again with the pumpkin (which is just a NO for my guy) I decided to go back to a mini hamburger mixed in with 4 Tbsp of Bernie’s and 2 cups of Blue Wilderness kibble. So far so AWESOME! Puppa ate it all up and stool is much healthier. It’s been a week and it just gets better every day. Don’t need the pumpkin or the beef liver. Every dog is different so having a company understand and care about that is wonderful! Is it a bit expensive? First of all, what isn’t nowadays? But the fact is that now that I can buy less expensive kibble and don’t need beef liver treats it equals out to about what I was paying for the Hill’s and most importantly, my dog’s health has vastly improved. This includes his breath, which I didn’t realize would be part of the package. This product may not work for your dog, but then again it may, and it is virtually risk-free! I do not have tons of money and so having Bernie’s guarantee their product means a lot to me. Their incredible kindness means even more! Makes for perfect poops. This is the best stuff. Will clear up minor diarrhea. I will forever keep this on hand. Great if your dogs poop is soft and hard to clean up. Just use this and it gets hard and easy vlean up. I give this with Activia. He loves it. I don’t put in food because he sometimes doesn’t eat(husky).His food is 4$ a can , cannot afford to waste it.
It works like a charm. I’ve been buying this for my girl for the last 2 years & I can honestly say it has made a huge difference in her poops!! It’s definitely worth every penny. I’ve never had a problem with her eating it as she loves the chicken flavor. Her poops went from slimy to firm. With the Bernie’s, she definitely goes more regularly & more consistently. She less constipated as well! I do wish that it would come in boxes instead of the Amazon bags because there’s are times that i get the Bernie’s completely smashed up & then it makes it difficult to give her the right amount. IT WORKS. Well…. I hardly write reviews but I MUST SAY THIS STUFF WORKS ! I have tried different dog foods over the last 6 months, added rice to try to firm her stool, he stool was mushy and tough to pick up without leaving residue behind. I have been using this product as directed and what a difference. Poops are firm, easy to pick up and no issues with my dog liking the cheese flavor added to her food. good addition to help regulate digestive issues. while not 100% effective in restoring my aging dogs digestion it has certainly helped a lothe tolerates it well and seems to enjoy the flavor – it has also slowed down the speed at which he eats his food – its certainly worth a try if your pup is having issues that are not of a medical nature
