Keeps my shih tzu’s nose moist and keratin buildup free. I started noticing bumps on his nose. I didn’t know what they were but after rubbing on them they would come off. Of course he didn’t like me doing that so I did some research and found out what they were. Also found out what you need to do for it. Of course Amazon sells a very easy to use container (think chapstick) of it. Just twist it up and apply to the nose and that’s it. I apply it every couple of days. No smell or mess and he doesn’t seem to mind. I will repurchase this again.
Gave my dog quick relief. My dog had a rough nose, it was whistling while she was sleeping! As soon as this arrived I put it on her nose, it hydrated it with no off putting scent. She seemed annoyed with it for a few minutes but then left it alone. I used it for 3 days each day, her nose seemed more hydrated than the day before and the whistling while she was sleeping stopped! She seems to be getting more sound sleep.
Better than I expected honestly. I figured by the reviews that the product would work. I didn’t expect it to work as fast as it did! Within minutes of using it my dogs nose was 100 fold better. I would absolutely reccomend for small areas. It would probably work on large areas also but it’s a small tube and my dog is about 90 pounds and has big ole feet.
Excellent. This product worked very quickly in one to two days I had already seen a difference in my dogs dry nose. We’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and he’s doing great and no more dry cracked nose. Will definitely be purchasing more.
Worked perfectly. Half of my dog’s nose was looking really dry and painful. A few days of liberal application about three times a day, and my dog’s nose is back to looking healthy again.
Very good product. I got this to replace my dogs old nose butter balm that had run out. He has hyperkeratosis of the nose and ears. Ingredients list made me happy so I went with this one.Upon first use, immediately noticed a very pleasant smell. Quality of the balm is good in my opinion. It is hard in the tin, and I simply use my finger and rub it around a few times to heat up and gather as much as I need to cover his nose and ears. Texture isn’t thick. Which was surprising as my nose butter was. This is more of a looser ointment consistency if that makes sense.I apply this usually a few times a day. But always right before bed. (This takes away the possibility of it rubbing off and allows it to really soak in). It has helped with the hyperkeratosis too. It’s obviously something he will always need but it definitely does the job.I do think that the price is quite high for what you get. I paid just under $30 for 4oz. I purchased this a few months ago and I’m just starting to make a slight dent in it. That said, this will go a very long way. It will last a long time. But I do think the price could be much better.Overall, it works for what I need it to do and it has a good ingredient list which is important to me. I like to keep things as organic as possible. While you will get a lot of use out of this, you will pay a pretty coin for it.9/10
Amazing stuff. I purchased this ointment after reading some reviews for my old doggie. He is 12 and his nose was getting crusty. Like really crusty. I wasn’t expecting too much but thought it might help. I am amazed! We literally just got this ointment 3 days ago. I’ve put it on 2 times a day and his nose looks like a puppy! Almost good as new. I would be worried about just how fast it works, but my dog has shown zero signs of discomfort and it looks like some great ingredients. Five stars here!
Works better than you can even imagine. I’m a housesitting and was watching two little miniature griffons. They had the keratin build up on their noses and their noses were really sensitive and seemed to bother them. I didn’t know about the keratin build-up, so when part of one of their noses “fell off,” I was pretty worried, but then I found out it was just like a little fingernail. (Ew. I know. But… read on! It all gets solved!) I didn’t want the dogs to be uncomfortable, so I researched extensively and this product kept coming up as a good solution. I ordered one and SOMEHOW managed to rub it on their noses. The next morning… THE KERATIN BUILD UP JUST SLID OFF when I rubbed my thumb across their noses to reapply. I was SHOCKED. But the best thing was that the dogs were SO much more comfortable!!! Their noses didn’t hurt them anymore and they could breathe more easily. I rubbed a little bit on their noses every couple of days and the keratin never built up again. Now their owners buy it religiously and recommend it to everyone else who has the same issue. Honestly, I had chapped heels and I rubbed some on my heels and wore socks overnight and my heels were really soft the next day too. This stuff is magical. Also, the dogs didn’t mind the smell or taste (it’s very mild… kind of nothing, which is perfect). Neither got sick from licking their noses, not even after a month of use. It’s kind of a miracle salve. More people should know about this!
Seems to be working good. I got this a week ago. I have been putting it on my poor dog’s nose 2-3 times a day. In just a week, I have noticed his nose softening up quite a bit!The back of his nose has been hard and painful for quite a while. The vet suggested vaseline, but he would lick nonstop until he got it off. I would also find his paws were covered in it as well. Not a good solution for hardwood floors.Now, after using Snoot Soother (sounds better than snout soother) for a week, he allows me to put it on with minimal licking. Things are getting softer and he flinches less when I apply it. I can tell the micro cracks are starting to heal.So far, this is a great product that has quick rewards! Would totally recommend this!

Useful product. We just moved to Colorado and the dry, mountain air and altitude has my dog’s nose all dried out! This product is very helpful and I notice the effect right away. Her nose is much more moisturized. Good thing it’s made from natural ingredients that are not harmful because she definitely gets a few licks in too!

I was running low on a different brand of nose butter, saw this & after reading reviews, I decided to try it. This is day 3 of use, 2-3 times a day. My boy’s snout is no longer peeling, and his nose is not nearly as dry. We’re healing up & staying ahead of dryness. Solid product, and I’m keeping this in my dog prep stock year round. Works within days. Our dog’s nose was bumpy, rough and dry in spots. I thought it was just old age and normal. When I looked into it, it needs to be moisturized to treat it. This balm STICK tube is the easiest to apply! No need to get it all over your fingers, just swipe it on the nose in need. I used it 3 x daily when I could and within 3 days it was 100% better and his nose was back to soft and wet. I apply it once every 2-3 days now in winter to maintain it. The tube will last forever, even if you had multiple dogs. I think the dog appreciated it because within a day, he stopped fighting the application of it. It doesn’t smell so strong like it would offend them either. I highly reccomend this for bumpy, dry dog noses!
A Yes for me. Met my expectations! It is small in size and very handy. A little goes a long way. My GS didn’t have any issues when I put it on him; he didn’t have any allergic reactions towards it. No smell, even better. It left his snout, shiny and soft.
