Worked so well once I figured out how to use it. I received this backing mid July. I tried using clippers and scissors and then I tried using this. My mistake was trying to use this when I was laying with my cat. As I often do I brush him but he developed very big knots and matted hair I couldn’t get a brush through. So I was having difficulty using it on him when we were laying. So I got the idea that I should get up stand up over him and bring it down from head to tail. It’s not a couple of times he looked at me a couple of times without any discomfort or pain. And then it just started coming off those closest to the Head where the hardest to get off and then the rest just followed very easily. If you have a problem with a pet that has matted hair do yourself a favor and get this. It worked fantastically well once I realized how to work it.Do it for the crater in your life, in your own peace of mind.
It really works. I have a youngish (not sure) short haired feral cat. I’ve been feeding him for the last 7 months. This past week he finally started headbutting me and rapidly allowed me to start petting him. It’s tough to see in the first picture just how bad the matting was but it was awful. He was obviously very uncomfortable since he would scratch against the brick wall you can see in the third picture. He’d also roll on the walk and try to scratch his back. Not sure if he also has an itching problem but I don’t see any indications on his skin.I tried using a standard wire brush to get the mats out but had no success. Found this last night and ordered it. Came this morning! (BTW, when Amazon says it will be here between 4am and 7am they are telling the truth, at least at my location and I’m out in the rural area.) I opened the package and took it out to give it a try.I’m not going to tell you it was easy but IT WORKED!! Kramer is much happier and looks like a cat instead of a worn out rug. Use it carefully. It really pulled on his skin but if you start at the ends of the mats and work in it is easier on both of you. I’m not a groomer of any sort. Just a concerned cat lover.The information says long or medium haired cats. If your cat has matting it works. Regardless of the length of the fur. Buy it!
Best brush ever for my dog. I have a Belgian Malinois with a thick undercoat and she always shedding an incredible amount of fur. We’ve tried countless types of brushes and shampoos and nothing made a difference. That was until we got this brush. I’ve been using it for just over a week now and it is still removing a decent amount of undercoat. I could not believe how much fur was removed the first few days. I would have thought the results were fake if it was shown in a TV commercial. Another benefit of this brush is that my dog does not dislike it. This is not the case with most brushes. I am now able to do a good brushing without her wiggling around or simply running off.My dog’s coat now looks more sleek and less fluffy since the undercoat has been significantly removed. I suspect my dog is more comfortable in this 100+ heat we are experiencing at the moment (even though she spends her time in an air conditioned house).
Impressive Hades Approved. With a Full blooded Australian cattle dog named HADES.I’m impressed7 layers of blood line fur in a Heeler, you can imagine the amount that sheds. Especially the Australian dingo down under those layers.Iv used every brand of brush out there from$2 – $100 everyone returned.Took him to a groomer with one of those specialized units out there “guaranteed ” to get all the under air out or a blow out, or your $$ back.Ha, challenge accepted.She called me after 2 hrs to pick Hades up. She was laughing, she never returned the pymt prior to him lolA Heeler is meant to Shed, dirt, sweat, undercoat. For a reason it’s a hard working breed born, breed to Work it’s deep in their blood.Back to the point, the picture doesn’t come close to what came out of Hades after 5 minutes using it. The Best Pet Grooming Tool Ever. Easily the best grooming tool we have ever used in 40 years of pet ownership. Our dogs love it, even though it seems like it is yanking out their fur. Even our lab, who has the attention span of an over-caffeinated gnat, will sit unmoving for as long as it takes. The instructions say that the more corse side feels like a massage to pets, and based on my experience that is exactly correct.The brush is the most effective tool for removing undercoat that I have used. The volume of fur I removed from our two dogs was huge. Easily two plastic shopping bags full. Both dogs looked fantastic after brushing, and now sit looking at me and then the brush as a not-so-subtle hint to brush them again. As with everything our dogs enjoy, once is a habit.I can’t recommend this brush enough. If you have pets, get it!!
Pet shedding brush Works wonderfully. Thought about it too long and finally bought the shedding brush. We have a long-coat German Shepherd and this works the best from all the other brushes and combs/rakes. Had a fur…ator and that would get stuck. This is glides through and helps remove the matted hair. We do little bits everyday, so our dog gets comfortable with it. But it really works like others say. And we have piles of fur going into the trash, too. 🙂 Oh, as for value for money… definitely worth every penny!!
Easy to gently remove shed hair. Although this looks like some kind of gardening tool to me, the teeth are rounded and release the hair easily. Of course, it’s steel so use it with a very gentle touch. I just lightly and slowly brush my lab’s fur with it, in the direction her hair grows, and it removes the shed undercoat even using only the wider detangling side. She’s still a little leery of it but it doesn’t seem to pull her hair or hurt her (I wouldn’t use it if it did), and I’m sure it helps her stay a little cooler in the summer with the undercoat she’s shedding out of the way. It actually works better and more easily than I expected.
Everything you need. We have a longhaired cat and all the troubles associated with the cat. This comb is unbelievably wonderful. It is light weight, has a comfortable handle and double sided combing. Truly amazing product. No problems. Love it!
Works very well with a thick coat of fur. My dog has a very thick coat of fur and sheds horribly. I have tried just about every style/type of brush out there and they didn’t get the undercoat very well. This one gets right in there and lifts the undercoat out. It’s still not a fast process, but faster and easier than the others.
That is does not hurt me dog and easy to use. I have a Border Collie. I got this because it was cheap! But for $12, you get what you pay for. I did have the FURMURATOR that lasted 5-6 years and was MUCH better though 4 times the price. My dog HATES this thing. When brushing do this SLOWLY and you really must be “SUPER” gentle with the animal but he still hates it. The videos show folks brushing fast etc., they are not being forthright. By the way, leave your house, go to an open field and brush. It is a complete mess with hair everywhere including on yourself.
Love this brush. The media could not be loaded. I’ve tried several brushes for my medium hair cat. They hurt my wrist, and it felt like I could brush forever and still not get all her loose hair. Brushing her was a chore, and I didn’t like it. Now, I enjoy brushing her. It’s so satisfying. I brush her almost every day and it’s obvious I’m getting all the hair. The hair is easy to get off the brush too. Also, I can brush her for a long time with no wrist pain. She seems to enjoy it. Her coat feels and looks so much better. I got the small one for my cat. I almost want to buy the big one so I can brush my nephew’s German Shepherd. His coat is not well maintained and i know this brush would do such a great job.No, I haven’t been paid for this review. It’s just a great brush. Lol
Great for My Bernese Mountain Dog. The Maxpower Planet Hair Brush is exactly as described, and it works wonderfully for my Bernese Mountain Dog! The extra wide design makes grooming much faster, and it does a fantastic job of reducing shedding—probably about 95% as advertised. My dog absolutely loves it, and it doesn’t hurt her at all.The double-sided rake is great for getting through her thick undercoat without causing any discomfort. It’s easy to use, and the handle is comfortable to hold during longer grooming sessions.I highly recommend this brush for anyone with a dog or cat that has a thick coat! It’s effective and gentle.
Manpower Pet Grooming Rake. This grooming comb or rake is very effective. It has two different sets of combs that effectively groom our dog. We particularly like the side with the wider set teeth as it cuts through the coat easier and removes loose fur. It’s important to follow the directions to hold the comb at a 45° angle and to *not* use a lot of pressure, especially on the first passes through the dog’s coat. The handle is well designed and ergonomic.
Dog grooming. The first order for this item did NOT arrive or was taken before I went to the front gate, I tried to file it as non recievied but apparently Amazon expects me to return it? The second replacement order was recieved timely with no problems. It works fine and we’re happy with it. Please acknowledge my missing first order. I don’t want to be charged for it. Thank you
1 million times YES. I was very skeptical about this, but this brush has been a GODSEND! The quality is great! Very sturdy! The handle is nice for a good grip! I can’t even begin to tell you how GREAT and easy it is to brush! It removes SO much hair! It was definitely worth the buy!!!
Works amazing. This brush is magical! Gets the matted fur and ends out of my cats nicely! You don’t need to press hard I gently go over the spot a couple times and it comes right out! I feel like it’s very way to hold and I have small hands, the fur comes out to clean it very easily and it’s not making a mess it catches the fur as you go and holds it. I use it on my short hair cat and my medium length fur cat and it works great on both! It’s a quick and easy process even while going as slow as I do, just to insure I do not hurt them because it is heavy duty and I feel like it would hurt to just take through them like a pile of leaves in the fall lol
AMAZING. This brush is amazing. It works so well, especially for GSD. Easy to use and cleans off easily. It has a good grip and collects a good amount of hair with just one sweep. Super durable, easy to hold onto and is the perfect size. I highly recommend this brush for dog hair. Get it, you won’t regret it.
Comfortable & sturdy rake that does the job & keeps your pup happy. Really awesome rake for a double-coated or excessively shedding pup! My Malinois has been blowing her coat lately, and the traditional dog brushes weren’t doing the job. It sort of felt as if I could keep brushing to no avail. But this rake removes the top level of hair and also gets to the undercoat *without* damaging my dog’s skin. In the past, my pup ran away when she saw me coming with the brush, but now she sits politely and actually seems to enjoy the attention. This is an enormous improvement on the grooming experience beforehand!Quality is sound – strong plastic handle that’s comfortable to hold. It’s easy to clean by hand. It’s durable and lightweight. As a bonus, you get to choose all sorts of fun colors. Highly recommend.
Amazing grooming combo – works great for shedding and tangles. This brush and glove set is a must-have if you have pets that shed. The double-sided brush does an excellent job with both deshedding and detangling, especially on thick coats. Good for dogs who shed/have thick coats. This works well for our yellow lab! I try to do it every few days and it gets a ton of her loose hair. It is easy to use and hold, while holding her at the same time. I can easily take the hair right off of the brush to discard. The only negative is that it does loosen the hair on her so she always continues to shed when she comes inside from being brushed. Love this product though!
