  1. Best towel I own. I ordered this to go over my Manduka Eko mat. I spritz a little water over the top and bottom where my feet and hands are going to be during practice right before getting started, which helps the grip until the sweat kicks in. I have to say the grip on this towel is AMAZING!! I have probably 10 towels in different brands including a yogitoes and this towel is by far my favorite. It’s a bit more expensive than the standard microfiber towel but if I’d known how well it was going to work I would’ve ordered 3-4 of these instead of wasting my money trying more of the inexpensive towels. This is the only towel that I have used that truly grips to my mat and DOES NOT MOVE at all or bunch up during practice. I never have to stop to readjust it. I immediately ordered another one in a different color and will alternate these 2 until I can buy a few more, as I practice 7 days a week and don’t like having to wash towels every other day. I actually bought both of mine used off of amazon and they were brand new but just not in original Manduka packaging which dropped the price from $35-40 to $20-22 each. I will continue to check for more colors in used condition for the price savings, but after using I would say it’s worth full price easily! If you’re on the fence between this and a towel with rubber grippings on the bottom, I promise this towel is so much better! Would recommend to any yogi.

  2. Outstanding absorbency. This yoga mat towel excels in absorbency, which is important in hot yoga. It’s also easy to balance on when combined with my Manduka Pro mat and it’s wider than my other mat towels. The downsides are, first, that it continues to bleed color in the laundry after a dozen washings in coldwater and even when I ring it out after a class. The dying process used in making the fabric for this towel is clearly terrible. I read about this problem in reviews before I bought the towel and hoped Manduka had addressed it. But no, the towel still bleeds color relentlessly. Another issue some may not appreciate is the towel wrinkles when it dries, then doesn’t sit flat on the mat. I spray water on the towel before class to flatten it out and improve traction/prevent slippage of the towel on the mat. If you want to avoid this, a Yogi Toes towel is a better choice.

  3. This towel couldn’t be any better. I teach Yin yoga, and I attend a lot of Vinyasa classes. I don’t sweat profusely in my Vinyasa classes, but it’s enough that my hands and feet start to slide in certain positions like down dog. This towel is amazing! It keeps me in position even though I’m not sweating a lot. Based on some of the reviews, I’d been concerned that it wouldn’t work unless I was super sweaty, but this hasn’t been the case. It doesn’t bunch up on me, and it really helps with the slipping. I actually keep it on my mat during my Yin classes, because I love the way it feels. It’s a few inches longer than my Gaiam mat, and that’s great since it gives me a little bit more room to stretch out but still keep my hair from touching the floor. It seems to keep the mat cooler and more comfortable. I had looked into getting one of the Manduka nonskid mats but didn’t want to spend the money (also tried one out at my studio and didn’t like the feel of it). I’m so glad I went with this instead! It’s hands-down one of the best yoga purchases I’ve ever made in my 25+ years of practicing. I hope you love it as much as I do!

  5. a must have for hot yoga. i purchased the manduka pro mat and had a rude awakening when i used it for the first time during my hot yoga class. rookie mistake, but i figured a $100+ mat should solve the issue of slipping while sweating. i was wrong lol! this towel is crucial if you’re a regular at hot yoga and sweat as much as i do (hint: it’s a lot). it’s really grippy + absorbent, i guess my only complaint is that it’s like other yoga towels where it can bunch up and move around during your practice.

  7. Durable and great for heated yoga practice. I received one of these towels as a gift over 10 years ago, and even after a decade of hot/heated yoga, sweating, washings, getting crumpled up in the bottom of my bag, etc., it still pretty much looks & feels the same as the day I got it. When I started going to practice again regularly, I realized I needed two mat towels if I didn’t want to be doing laundry every other day, so I decided to purchase this one again. The new towel feels pretty much identical to my old one, and is holding up just as well so far. It’s also the exact right size for my mat. It’s a little slipperier than I’d like when dry, but I think that’s probably true of mat towels everywhere, and spraying or sprinkling water on it before practice helps add traction until the sweating kicks in. It also dries off quite quickly after practice. It’s more expensive compared to some other options, but if I don’t have to buy a replacement for another 10 years, then it’s absolutely worth the investment. Love when things are made to last!

Perfect Towel. I have tried a number of towels. This is the last one I purchased. I wish I had bought this first! I tried multiple Yogitoes towels, which are great, but the price is not. This towel works just as good if not better. Sprits a little water on your mat, lay out the towel, and everything stays in place. Very absorbent. Comfortable. Excellent grip. A towel worth the price!

HOT YOGA NECESSITY. Bought this for my mom for Mothers Day. She has been getting into hot yoga and needed a towel to use while practicing. The color is exactly like the picture and is very durable. Would definitely order again.
