Great product. My dog loves it and it makes feeding time a perfect opportunity for training and stimulation. I recommend using with dog’s own food and not the spray can product they sell you with these. I use canned dog food pate and freeze it. My dog loves spending the time and exercise to get the frozen food out of the toy. Note: get one size bigger than you think your dog might need, as these tend to run a little on the small side.
A Must-Have Toy for Active Pups – KONG Classic Dog Toy Review. I cannot express how much my puppy adores the KONG Classic Dog Toy. I have bought a total of four different KONG toys for him, and he absolutely loves each one. Out of all his toys, this particular KONG toy stands out as his favorite. The durability of this toy is truly impressive. Despite my puppy’s constant chewing and rough play, the KONG Classic has held up remarkably well. It’s built to withstand even the most enthusiastic pups, providing long-lasting entertainment and value for your money. One of the best things about the KONG Classic is how it keeps my puppy occupied. It’s not just a simple toy; it’s a true boredom buster. Whenever I need some uninterrupted time or want to keep my furry friend engaged, I give him the KONG. He happily spends around 45 minutes playing with it, trying to retrieve treats or simply enjoying the satisfying bounce it offers. The KONG Classic Dog Toy is a must-have for anyone with an active pup. Its durability, versatility, and ability to keep dogs entertained make it worth every penny. Whether you have a teething puppy or a high-energy dog, this toy will surely become their new best friend. Give it a try, and you won’t be disappointed!
Great product ! Don’t try to save, order puppy version for puppy. Kong products are great for keeping your buddy busy. I got 12 weeks puppy and was thinking she will soon grow up and ordered the medium version, my puppy couldn’t use it effectively. Just as backup, I ordered a puppy version as well as she was roaming around with it begging to make treats. Didn’t tough much the medium version sitting next to it. Do yourself a favor and order puppy version, it is a good investment !Kong itself great for preparing frozen treats, just seal the bottom with peanut butter, banana bit, or blueberry and fill the inside with your dog’s favorite ingredients. I used goat milk kefir as a base mixed with anchovy bits, blueberry, and mango pieces.
Bought for a Weimaranar puppy, but small even for her. I figured a medium may last into adulthood for a Weimaranar puppy, but even at 3 months it was small for her, if you have a larger dog, this is JUST a small puppy toy, and, its got a very small capacity and difficult for her to get out.We tried freezing the food but it just agrivated our girl more, get at least a large if your dog is going to be over 50 pounds as an adult.
Great product. Our super chewer gets a kong at bedtime every night. It holds up to her abuse. This was a replacement for her puppy size that was chewed up. She loves it and we appreciate that it’s reliable and cleans quick for next use.
Long live King KONG. As a dog owner who values both quality and practicality in pet products, I recently had the opportunity to introduce the KONG Classic into our furry family member’s toy collection. One of the most notable aspects of the KONG Classic is its multifunctionality. Acting as both a fetch toy and a chew option, it adds an element of unpredictability to our play sessions, keeping our pup’s interest piqued and ensuring ample physical activity. Its erratic bounce during fetch games is particularly amusing to watch, eliciting excitement from our furry friend every time. What truly sets the KONG Classic apart, however, is its stuffable design. By filling it with treats like kibble or peanut butter, we’ve transformed routine playtime into a stimulating experience for our dog. The added challenge of freezing the stuffed KONG beforehand adds an extra layer of mental stimulation, prolonging the enjoyment and providing a satisfying outlet for their natural instincts. Moreover, it’s reassuring to know that the KONG Classic comes highly recommended by veterinarians and trainers worldwide. Its robust construction and ability to promote healthy play align with our desire to provide our pet with safe and enriching toys.Cleaning up after playtime is also hassle-free, thanks to the toy’s dishwasher-safe design. This ensures that maintenance doesn’t become a chore, allowing us to focus on what truly matters—quality time spent with our furry companion. In conclusion, the KONG Classic for Larger Breeds has seamlessly integrated into our dog’s routine, offering a balance of entertainment and functionality that’s hard to come by in pet toys. Its durable build, interactive features, and vet endorsement make it a worthwhile investment for any dog owner seeking to enrich their pet’s playtime experiences.
Big hit with doggo. Who doesn’t love Kongs? They hold peanut butter/treats, are fun for doggo to chew, and keep him happy. We give it to him when we leave every day, and he is happy to have the treat. They are fun to throw around too, since they bounce in unusual ways, so doggo cannot predict where it’s going. It keeps him entertained. Great price point for a durable toy that he cannot destroy immediately, like so many other ones we’ve tried. Definitely a keeper!
Best dog toy ever. The Kong Classic is durable, fun, and keeps my pup engaged for hours. Fill it with treats or peanut butter for endless entertainment. Highly recommended!
Good toy for an aggressive chewer. The medium is a little smaller than I expected, but still works for my bull dog. She is a big chewer with strong jaws, and this holds up well to her use. I do plan to get a larger one for her.
Perfect. Durable, washable, and easy to fill. We usually fill these with a cocktail of peanut butter and liver treats and our dogs love them. They’re heavy but easy to store and use. And they can be washed in the dishwasher!
Best chew toy and training item on the market. I’m a Dog Trainer, specializing in early canine education with Puppies between eight and 18 weeks . The Kong is the best thing you can give a dog! You can stuff these things with all kinds of yummy things. I love to get creative with the Kongs. Adding novelty to your dog’s life improves their brain health. I can’t even give examples because I would be here all day. For dogs who eat kibble you can soak your kibble in water or better yet bone broth, then once it’s soft, fill the kong with the kibble and put it in your freezer. Keeps your dog busy for a long time, you don’t have to buy extra stuff because you just give them the kibble you’re already going to give them. (I recommend getting at least one, but up to six for each dog so you can give them their entire daily allowance of food in the Kongs). The licking /chewing helps them relieve stress and gives them something to enjoy inside their crate. I learned this from Dr. Ian Dunbar and I highly recommend his training courses on a platform called Dunbar Academy to learn how to properly raise a Puppy into the best dog you’ve ever had. He has helpful information for older dogs too, but you really want to train your puppy properly so you can avoid the behavior problems in the first place. It’s super cheap too, and easy to learn from.Plus these are great chew toys for heavy chewers because as long as you get the right size for your dog, they can’t destroy this thing! AND it bounces, so you can actually play fetch with it like it’s a ball. Every single dog deserves a Kong, so if you don’t already have one, go ahead and do that right now. You won’t regret it, and your dog definitely will love you more.
KONG Classic Stuffable Dog Toy. The KONG Classic is one of those toys that actually earns its reputation. It’s tough, reliable, and keeps a dog busy in a way that feels genuinely useful. Stuff it with treats, peanut butter, or kibble, and it turns into a solid boredom‑buster. Even after plenty of chewing and tossing around, it holds up without tearing or cracking.⭐ What Makes It GreatExtremely durable — perfect for strong chewersGreat for mental stimulation when stuffed with treatsEasy to clean compared to other stuffable toysBounces unpredictably, which keeps dogs engagedLong‑lasting value since it doesn’t wear out quickly⭐ Bottom LineA classic for a reason. If you want a toy that keeps your dog entertained, withstands heavy chewing, and works as a treat puzzle, the KONG Classic is a dependable choice that actually delivers.
Helps with separation anxiety, keeps dogs busy. Have been using kongs for my labs for years. Brand new the kongs do have a strong rubber smell. Try putting the Kong in a pot with water over low fire to help reduce the smell. Stuff with favorite treats or fill with peanut butter and freeze. Will keep dogs busy and chewers with an indestructible toy
The best toy for active dogs! Durable and fun 🐶🎾. I bought this Kong for my pup, and it has been the best investment to keep him entertained. If you have a high-energy dog, this toy is a must-have.• Durability: The material is super tough. My dog is a heavy chewer, and the Kong still looks brand new; it hasn’t ripped or crumbled at all.• Entertainment: The best part is that you can stuff it with food or treats (my dog loves it when I put something tasty inside). It keeps him busy for a long time and helps prevent him from chewing on other things around the house.• Safety: It gives me great peace of mind to let him play with it alone because I know it’s a safe material designed for strong jaws. Conclusion: It’s an everlasting and very versatile toy. My pup is obsessed with it, and I love seeing him so focused! 100% recommended.
Great for freezing apple sauce, peanut butter, etc for a treat. Our dog has extreme separation anxiety. When ever he even thinks we are going to leave he barks and jumps in our face. He is a mini Aussie, so he can jump high. I have researched ways to help him not freak out so much when we leave. I read that giving him something like this with some yummy frozen in it like peanut butter, apple sauce, wet food, etc. so he relates us leaving to him getting a yummy treat. He still freaks out when we leave, but not as bad because he wants the kong but also wants to remind us he doesn’t approve of us leaving, lol. It’s Kong, so obviously very high quality. It’s pretty heavy. I wish there was an in between size, this is a little too big and the smaller size isn’t big enough. So his tongue can’t quite reach the end inside. He also plays with it when it’s not filled with treats. We have a few so one can be in the freezer while he has one. Thank goodness he is a dog that doesn’t destroy stuff when we are gone, just yells at us when we are leaving. After we are gone he just pouts. But this gives him something to do and keeps him busy. It takes him quite a while to finish what’s inside.
