Based on the ingredients, this seems like a reasonable claim.Here’s what is in the kit:Winterizer 32 oz Copper Triethanolamine Complex 3-4% 82027-59-6Winter Stain Away 32 oz: HEDP (1-Hydroxyethylidene-1, 1-diphosphoric acid 13-15% ) CAS 2809-21-4 Chlorine free shock 2 lbs Potassium Monopersulfate (Pentapotassium bis(peroxymonosulphate) bis(sulphate)) 45% CAS 70693-62-8Time-Release Winterizing Enhancer Floater ~2.5 lbs Filled with non-chlorine oxidizer (Might be the same as Chlorine-free shockPool SorbThe Winterizer is a copper-based algaecide and is an important (probably the most important) item in the kit. I’m unsure of the importance of the other items.The cost for a 15,000 gallon pool is $45 which seems reasonable, although you might save some money buy just buying a copper-based algaecide and some chlorine-free shockI’ll add to this review in the spring (If I remember) to let everyone know how well it worked.Also, you must clear and use antifreeze for your pool plumbing if you live where freezing temperatures can occur.Finally, I used to use a large tarp to cover the pool for the winter. A few years ago I purchased a safety cover which is well worth the investment. Highly recommended.
Very reputable company. This closing kit has everything you need to ensure a clear pool opening in the Spring. And easy to use. I have ordered from In The Swim for many years now. Always fairly priced, quality products, fast shipping.
Good product. Getting ready to close the pool again. We put the closing chemicals in and know when opening the pool back up will be so easy. Have used it for 4 yrs now with no issues.
My pool is always clean the following Spring. Obviously, I can’t state if this works this year because for one, I haven’t closed my pool yet and two, I won’t know until next Spring. However, I use this set-up every year and I don’t ever have problems when opening my pool.
