Amazing! Super thick, high quality, great price. HIGHLY recommend. Oh my GOD finally a good exercise mat!! I’ve been using the BalanceFrom Go Yoga All Purpose Anti-Tear Exercise Yoga Mat with Carrying Strap, Blue for awhile now and I absolutely HATE it. Everything about the HemingWeigh is superior. As you can see in the attached pictures, the HemingWeigh exercise mat is TRULY extra thick, especially compared to the BalanceFrom mat that is supposedly “extra thick high density.”I did my forward lunge stretches on both mats and you can see in the picture that the BalanceFrom mat leaves a huge dent where my knee was. You can barely tell I was on the HemingWeigh mat. There was so much cushion and it was such a relief not feeling the wood ground as I stretched. This mat is extremely high quality for the price–save yourself the hassle of looking elsewhere because this is literally one of the best exercise mats I have used at this price. I stretch for about an hour every day and having a good mat is crucial for me. I used to need to fold the BalanceFrom yoga mat to get enough cushion but I definitely would not need to with the HemingWeigh.I could seriously gush about this exercise mat all day. It’s also extremely compact and lightweight despite being so much thicker. It’s super transportable with the provided straps and SERIOUSLY. If you’re looking for an exercise mat, buy this one!Bonus picture of my boyfriend curled up on the HemingWeigh. While he says he would not sleep on it by choice, it’s way better than my old mat. PRAISE.

For the price, it is a good purchase. I started at Camp Gladiator boot camp in January, and many of the camps are outdoors, on concrete, which was killing my tail bone doing core workouts on my super thin yoga mat. I decided quickly that I needed something thicker and heavier duty to hold up to my new workout regime, but I wasn’t up for spending $45+ on the mats sold by the boot camp. I searched and searched and read tons of reviews before settling on this HemingWeigh Extra Thick Foam Exercise Mat. Mine has been used at least 3-4x a week since purchase so far. On the first day I received it, I unrolled it in my house for some yoga, and was pleased to see it didn’t stretch much, and was definitely thick and comfortable. My German Shepherd stepped on the end of the mat, and her nail punctured it easily, but so far the spot has not torn wider. For yoga, this is hard to keep balance on one foot, and even for some of the poses where feet have to be in alignment, due to how thick and cushioned it is. There is some stretch when doing planks, and if you are sweaty, I recommend a yoga towel to go on top as it is very slippery when wet. I have also made an effort to do most of my standing exercises at camp off of the mat, or use the mat for my hands, but have my feet on the concrete for jumping/mountain climbers/burpees/etc as it does tear easily, but so far it has not detracted from my ability to use the mat. I just wish they had something in this price range that was more durable to a high intensity workout. The mat is super light weight, which makes transporting it easy, and I love the straps that keep it all together. It does hold the form of the roll, so when I stretch it out, I typically place a weight on either end to help lay it flat. It also is light enough that a good wind will pick it up, which gives another reason for the weights. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, and for the price, I would recommend it to others. I was hoping for a slightly more durable mat, but I am hoping this one gets me through for a few months at least.

Very comfortable. Just unrolled it and tried it out this morning. No smell that I noticed. It unrolled mostly flat right from the start. It is sooo comfortable to the knees on workout. I had no problem with slipping and holding positions. The carry strap seems very convenient as to it doesn’t have to roll up tight to store it or transport it. All in all so far I am very happy with it. As for durability it seems well made. I have no pet claws to worry about as others have mentioned. I think it will last a good while for me. Thank you
Perfect size for a heavy guy. Perfect thickness to hold the weight. Great durability and cushion for this heavy dude taking on his new iron journey. And for the PRICE!!! I’m very very satisfied!
well made. I paid a bit more for this particular mat because other mats that were cheaper got bad reviews & this mat got excellent reviews. I’m very glad I did!!! This is a GREAT, very well made mat! I’m 63 & this mat makes yoga easier for my body.
As described. The mat itself is great. The thickness and padding are just right and seems well made. Stays in place. Only complaint is the carrying strap. It’s elastic, so it can’t be adjusted, and if you try to carry the mat in any other position than completely parallel to the ground (e.g. over your shoulder), the mat slips out.
It is much better than the floor. I used this mat for Exercising. It is very comfortable. It is allowing me to exercise even more which is what I desperately need. It’s a keeper.
I love the thick Yoga Mat I got. I bought the extra thick yoga mat because I am 6’2″ and 230+ and working out in my basement. The floors I have are nice but not padded. This made exercising, stretching, HIIT moves, etc. extremely comfortable on my feet, joints, knees, etc. And anything I need to do kneeling with kettle bells is also comfortable. It is 1″ thick so a little more bulky to store and roll up. But worth it for me.
Fantastic product. The company has a great product and even better customer service. They replaced my originally received mat with a brand new one that is plush true – inch thick and great for slower forms of yoga.
Exactly what I wanted. Bought to exercise on the floor for my back and core. Reviews were very helpful and accurate. Absolutely perfect for me. Rolls up easily, stores great, and portable so I can take with me when traveling. The 1 inch thick makes a big difference on comfort and back support.
A one day review. Here we go again! I received my mat less than 24 hours ago, yet Amazon send me a request for a review before I have even used the mat!! I would seem that if Amazon had an interest in a responsible review Amazon would send the request a week or two AFTER delivery. I can attest the product was packaged nicely. The product felt nice when I unpackaged it and I did not find any flaws with the product. HOPE THIS HELPS.
Great to travel with mat. Great mat to travel to different locations
It is a nice cushion for this big boy. It is nice and thick and very comfortable for stretching and some light yoga. I’m 6’ and a heavy hitter, so the cushion is great for me. It rolls up easy and can be transported if needed.
Love this mat. I love this yoga mat. It’s super comfortable and non skid. It’s perfect for home workouts on hard wood floors. Game changer!
Nice and thick but they wear out in 2 years. I love these for the thickness…but they wear out in two years. I have purchased twice…just got another one!
This mat is comfortable. I use this mat every day. It’s thick and comfortable. Easily rolls and has a elastic strap to keep it rolled. Highly recommend it.A little con is it is too large to travel with it.
Large but very functional. I have used this one for one week and I am impressed how well it keeps my knees from feeling anything on a big dude like me. This is even good for sit-ups. This is extra thick, so it may not work for all movements, but this makes the concrete easy to work on.
Comfy multipurpose mat. This mat is excellent. The material (NBR) is resilient with just the right amount of “give”. The thickness makes for a comfortable workout surface for knees, back, side or stomach positions. The storage strap is convenient. I did rate it high in durability even though I’ve only had it a few weeks. I’m basing that rating on the quality of the Nitrile Butadiene Rubber material which generally has a long usage life when properly cared for.

Perfect Matt. This Matt is perfect to excerise on. It’s so thick and well made. Super nice!
Thick and soft. Like a cloud of awesomeness. This thing is what you’re looking for. I’m 55 and (apparently) kinda boney. I do some stretches and exercises on the floor. Let’s face it, knees, hips, elbows, and back aren’t what they used to be. This mat makes it all good. No pain on the pressure points at all. It’s as thick as advertised and no weird foam smell. It’s big too. Plenty of room for 6 foot man or taller.

Is This the Most Comfortable Yoga Mat Yet. Let’s start with the most important point: this is not a cheap yoga mat. However, in my opinion, it’s worth every penny, and I’ll explain why I think so. Yoga and fitness mats can be very inexpensive, but they usually come with two major drawbacks. First, they are often made from hard materials — though that’s not the worst part. Second, they tend to be very thin, which leads to discomfort in your knees, elbows, and other joints. This can make workouts unpleasant, especially if you’re on the heavier side. This mat completely solves that issue with its impressive thickness of a full inch. For me, this was an absolute game-changer. Even when exercising on a hard tiled floor, I can perform all my workouts comfortably. No pain, no discomfort—everything feels great. The mat measures 70 by 23 inches, which is a standard size. The material is dense and soft, providing excellent cushioning for any activity. Additionally, it comes with a carrying strap, making it easy to transport without the hassle of awkwardly carrying it under your arm or in some other inconvenient way.The only thing that I didn’t particularly like — though I wouldn’t call it a flaw — is that the surface can become a little slippery when you start sweating. The solution is simple: keep a towel handy, and that’s about it.Overall, this mat is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a comfortable surface for workouts on hard floors. The only drawback worth mentioning is its price, but that’s well offset by its quality.

Great. Very thick and comfortable, sticks to the ground really well too
