John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Fixation Styling Crème. I use a flat iron on my hair just about every day, and since my hair tends to get pretty frizzy with any humidity, I use any product necessary to keep that in check. I have been using this John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Fixation Styling Crème for a while now, and when I was getting low on the product, I couldn’t find it at the store (which seemed to be really low on John Frieda products overall), so I decided to buy it online. This styling creme really helps keep the frizz under control. I only use a very small amount on my damp hair – maybe a dime sized amount or less. It really doesn’t take much at all. I then blow dry my hair and use a flat iron for straightening. I don’t see hardly any frizz at all on days when I use this product, in conjunction with the John Frieda flat iron spray. Overall, it’s a good product and works on my hair type, but it might be just a little higher priced than in the store, and it’s not Prime eligible so you have to pay for shipping unless you order it with something that qualifies it for free shipping. If I can’t find it in the store when I need more, I will probably order it again online.
Does what it’s suppose to do . Only comes with 1 BOTTLE not 2. I love the product ! Does what it’s supposed to do… definitely great for wigs … if you use it for your wig, I defiantly recommend running a hot comb through it , as it lays the hair down flatter and gives it a shiny finished look. One think I am kinda disappointed about is that it shows two in the picture and you only review one which is very misleading . I thought I was getting two for the price which was great but for just one bottle it’s not really worth the price .
I’m not convinced…yet…final update. I’ve had a professional keratin treatment in the salon and my hair was straight straight. Like out of the shower rough dry or air dry no flat iron needed straight straight. I followed the instructions with this product however I don’t know if my hair dryer and flat iron get hot enough. Also my skills at flat ironing my short hair over and over especially in the back are definitely not the best. So my hair isn’t pin straight but the curls are relaxed, blow drying takes less time and it’s easier to get my hair smooth. I still use a flat iron on stubborn areas but not all over as I did before. The real test for me is humidity, will it remain straight? Humid days are coming and that question will be answered then. I am going to give the whole process one more try in a couple weeks and see if that improves the texture or perhaps my skills will improve. Final note: I did not experience any fumes or itchy watery eyes at all. I only saw steam during the flat ironing but it was not irritating what so ever. Hope this review helps out. Good luck.Final update:. I’ve used this 3 times now. It’s not as strong as the professional treatment for sure. However it does relax my curls and makes it more humidity resistant but NOT humidity proof. On these 98 percent humidity days of June and July, nothing can help. I’m glad I tried the product and I can see it working well for someone that wants to smooth frizz or tame flyaways or someone that has maybe a wavy texture. For super curly or corse hair it might not produce the results you are looking for.

There are a few things I’ve learned, here you go:1) use a clarifying shampoo prior, I have used a different one than what comes with the lot & it worked just fine. Just make sure it is sulfate free.2) Blow dry hair all the way dry- don’t air dry! Cause it’s very important to apply the product to hair that is straight and the cuticle somewhat smooth. This will help lock in the application. Flat ironing during this step is not necessary.3) during the solution application process, wear mask & maybe some glasses, cause the fumes are serious! My eyes burn each time but not as much as with glasses on. The mask helps you not breath in the chemicals.4) Use a fine tooth comb to make sure all the product is evenly distributed throughout your hair. This also helps when blow drying your hair after- it won’t be as tangled.I normally wait to wash my hair 2-3 days after. 3 is the best, but if u have to do something & need clean hair 2 will suffice. This usually keeps my hair smooth and frizz free (but still curly, just not as tight) for about 3 months. I think that’s a decent amount of time considering the price! Also give yourself the afternoon to do this- dont rush it.

Top of the Balms. I’ve been looking at this product since August (2022) and then finally decided to purchase it. (I received it fast – same day ordering). I don’t really write reviews, however, upon using this product, I was excited to! .I’m a white girl (mix of Italian and Norwegian), have predominately dry, thick, naturally wavy/curly hair, that is below my shoulders in length and cut in long layers. I have used many balms thru the years from Loreal to Redkin and all in between. My fave was the Loreal Smooth Intense Straight Perfecting Balm. (I love to use balms on my hair since my hair is dry and I like to straighten it most of the time – I find the consistency and textures are best for my hair). With the Loreal balm being discontinued, I was on a mission to find a new fave. I think I found it with this product! I would say that with this product it’s more for a seasoned “balmer” user than a beginner. It comes out in a thick gel-like texture and then when you rub between your hands, it is sort of oily/greasy. For me this a great thing for my dryish texture and my consistent use of blow drying and flat ironing. I say for a beginner user of a hair balm like this, because of how concentrated it is and with it being an oily/greasy balm, start with a small or teeny amount and go from there as you style – I used it on towel-dried hair. I applied a quarter sized amount at first, blow dried my hair and then added a little more, combed thru, hit it with the dryer again on cool and then flat ironed. All in all it cut my drying experience by a few minutes, and I was amazed at how well it worked with just the hair dryer while using my hair brush. I didn’t even need to use that much of the flat iron. Also, note, I didn’t apply any other hair products like serums, mousse etc. (sometimes i do have to layer hair products to achieve my end results).I am so HAPPY with the end result: my hair came out so beautiful, shiny and healthy looking and to my happy surprise, very soft and flowy – not the stiffness or weight that some of the other products leave on my hair. I was just amazed and said to myself, ‘why did I wait so long’! My blonde is lighter, shiny and healthy looking (I use loreal box dye). I feel with all being said, this product a winner for me!
Don’t Waste Your Money. After reading a lot of good reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions perfectly. I washed my hair twice with the clarifying shampoo. I dried my hair completely. I applied the product and waited 90 minutes. The instructions are to blow dry your hair thoroughly with the product still in. Well, that was nearly impossible. The product has a greasy-type of texture, so it would not dry. I started this whole process at 8 am; by now, it was lunchtime. Since my hair would not dry, I ate and tried again after lunch. It worked a little better. Finally, I flat ironed small strands by small strands, going over each one about ten times. I have a large bathroom, but I was choking and crying from the fumes, so I wore a mask and goggles to finish. In the end, my hair looked straight but heavy and greasy. The following day, I went for a walk, and (the humidity is brutal in Florida), when I came home, I looked in the mirror, and the friz had returned. I re-flat ironed it, but a little later, I had to go outside for just a few minutes, and the friz returned again. So, not only is it a super long process, but it does not even work (well, not on my hair anyway.) I am Caucasian with light brown (usually straight, but frizzy when humid) hair. I hope this helps someone.

DON’T BUY, WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. It doesn’t work even though my hair is not resistant AT ALL. My hair is wavy not curly. Despite this, this product didn’t straighten my hair. For the people on the comments, please be honest, don’t take photos of your hair right after the treatment. Take photos of your hair after you wash out the treatment (2 days or more after the treatment) and without using any thermal hairstyler.I have followed the same exact instructions on the product itself and the instructions on the comment, unfortunately this product wasted my time and money.

Will update in a mont. The media could not be loaded. Will apply the product and post pictures after first application, after blow dry, after straightening, after cream and after air drying (I don’t want straight hair just want to tame my frizzy hair a bit!).Update :As you can see I did section my hair during the first application, make sure every strand is saturated, left it on for about 20 minutes in the back 10 in the front then rinsed it off with cold water no shampoo. Once rinsed the hair did seem straight but that’s also how my hair usually looks when it’s wet so I didn’t notice much of a difference. When I blowdried it however (revlon brush, no heat protectant, no products at all) I did notice my hair getting lighter and not in a good way it was very brittle and rough which I expected since I am putting chemicals in my hair but not to this extent. I also noticed it stripped a good bit of my black dye so keep that in mind if you have coloured hair. ALSO while drying one half of my hair the other half got more and more frizzy as it air dried (more frizzy than it usually is even). I then straightened it before applying the second treatment (didn’t section this time but did focus more on the part that I felt needed more help) and rinsed once again and this time I did apply leave in conditioner and some hair oil before wrapping it to sleep. I will definitely do a deep conditioning hair mask next time I shampoo my hair (2-3 days) and maybe even an oil bath because it needs it badly. Also i did do this with dirty hair (waited a week for my hair to be properly oily just in case).

Reverse perm to straighten hair. Glatt Strait is a reverse-perm to straighten hair, and follows the same procedure as a curly perm. Apply the thick straighten-activation cream to shampooed hair and comb straight (in a curly perm, you would apply a runny activation lotion to curlers), allow processing time, rinse, and neutralize. Did not straiten/relax my hair at all. I am so disappointed!!!! I have used Glatt Hair Straitening Cream – strong for several years and loved it. this is not the same, and DID NOT produce the same results. This product did not straiten nor relax my hair. Wasted time and money 🙁

I do have salon quality hair tools, but I also have stubborn hair as well my hair is course the strand itself is thick I was so shocked with the amount of SHINE I had, I have not used any product since I did my hair!! I have high thick porosity 3b/3a curls, mid length. this particular product is specifically for the hair type and it worked VERY well.kind of hard for a beginner especially with the back of the head, so i recommend that you get someone to help distribute product in thoroughly and QUICKLY! do the straightener bag EX1 step in a well ventilated environment, it has a sulfur/rotten egg smell like color oops hair remover and speaking of, it does remove hair color too so if you have freshly dyed hair. the neutralizer does help with the smell but it would probably stay in your hair for a few washes.after first wash after the neutralizer it stayed straight, no curls, some light waves. it DID fry my ends a little bit and had to give myself a split end cut. overall would probably buy this again.

Not for curly hair to be straightened. Got this to help my daughter who has 3A to 3B curly hair. Every now and then she wants to straighten her hair but the curls make it harder. She says the soaks in and doesn’t leave a buildup, but she said it just doesn’t seem to do anything when she wants to straighten her hair.

This product does not straighten. Absolutely worthless product. My hair only has a moderate wave at my forehead & the idea was to straighten this slight wave. Two applications and nothing happened. Don’t waste your money on this product.

Smooth and Silky Hair. For me, this protein hair cream feels like a quick fix for frizz and unruly hair. I usually apply it after washing, and it makes my hair feel instantly smoother and softer. It’s nice that it works on all hair types, especially on wavy or damaged hair, without making it feel heavy or sticky. Leaves my hair looking healthier, shiny, and much easier to manage.
Take Note of What POSITIVE Reviewers Are Saying Here. I’m a guy who has been letting his hair grow out from the tired fade style that has only nurtured a deepening ennui. My hair is coarse, thick, and as it has grown longer it has cemented itself into a super highway of wacky flips and cowlicks nearly impossible to tame. Moira Rose might say I look like a disgruntled pelican emerging from a blustery tropical storm. Hair is easy to style. I ordered this protein correcting hair straightening cream because I wanted to style my hair without using a blow dryer or flat iron. The cream works like a conditioner instead of a straightener. I tested the product on the ends of my hair. I think this cream is a perfect start for blow drying and styling my hair because it makes my hair more manageable.

Love This Styling Creme. Firstly, I love anything by the John Frieda brand. I’ve used it for many years and have always had wonderful results with it. The products are salon quality and are an excellent value because it takes much less of the product to acheive the end result. This styling creme is for use on straight hair, but I used it on my below waist length curly hair and did not straighten it, and it worked brilliantly to reduce frizz. It also creates a beautiful shine, moisturizes, adds softness, and left my hair looking nourished. The cream has a nice texture, it is silky, not overly thick or thin, and does not leave a residue on hair. I am super pleased with this product and would recommend it and purchase again.
Hair is smoother, more shiny, soft and healthy looking. Great product. I typically shampoo twice, condition once, rinse and use a leave-in moisturizer that makes my hair soft but leaves it very frizzy. I kept my hair products and routine the same, but added this styling cream at the end and it has added so much shine and smoothness to my hair. It doesn’t take much to get great results just with blow-drying; I would have had to break out my straightener to get the same effect before. It doesn’t weigh my hair down (I only apply it to the middle and ends of my hair, nowhere near the roots) and has a light, pleasant scent that fades quickly so I only smell my shampoo. Price is affordable and since I don’t need to use a lot of product, this bottle will last me a long time.Very happy I found this product and can recommend it. Included a photo of the back of the bottle showing ingredients; bottle says this is made in the USA with some ingredients being imported.

Worth every penny and more. I love this and would never go without it. I have curly thick hair and the worse off brand brush blower. It makes my hair beautiful. It stays nice all day long and it often last more than 2 days.
Great Hair Product. I am just discovering John Frieda products even though they have been around for a while. I love how they work on my daughter’s and my hair. We both have 4B/C hair. This product worked just as well as the other John Frieda products we have tried. The styling creme is the consistency of a hand lotion, but you do not need a lot. It is great for frizz control, makes your hair soft, shiny and keeps your hair straighter for a longer period of time. You can blow dry your hair right after you put the creme on, but I noticed that if I let it sit on the hair for about 5 minutes it works even better. For best results I recommend using it with the other John Frieda products like the shampoo. I also love the hair serum. It is reasonably priced. It is much is lower than similar products on the market. I am sold!
Works well for controlling frizz. I got this hair product because I live in a humid climate that makes my hair look constantly frizzy. First, I really like the subtle smell of this product, and it’s not overpowering. I applied the product while wet, and then dried my hair, and it did not make my hair look greasy at all. It was really easy to wash off my hands too – the product itself did not have greasiness. You couldn’t tell the product was in my hair apart from the frizz control. This product was really effective to help control frizz and help my hair feel softer.Overall, I am happy with this product and recommend it.
