Cheap and basic–good for simple, utiliarian needs. I bought two of these shelves in warehouse deals (came to about $40 total) which was cheaper than buying one of those nine cube DIY units from my local store, and they were a better height than the smallest IKEA shelf I had access too. I needed some relatively short shelves to help better utilize some space in my bedroom, and these satisfy that need pretty well.Things to consider and keep in mind:- Easy to assemble, especially if you have any experience building any IKEA furniture. Just need a screw driver, hammer, and a little patience to line up the hardware with the pre-drilled holes. Only took me like 20 minutes to make two.- I did misalign a screw and it carved out a chunk of the wood, but I caught it early enough to correct it without too much woe, so it’s not a foolproof assembly.- Can be very affordable, but also oddly expensive. I’d wait for the price to drop or for a warehouse deal on a used set. These aren’t worth more than $15-$25. Currently, this model is $29 at the time I’m writing this review and some sellers are even asking for $40+ and it’s not worth it. You can get a huge IKEA billy of much better quality for $50.- Nice color array available; I got “americano” and short of scrutinizing it closely, it reads as black in color.- Acceptable build quality; it is, of course, particle board furniture and could probably be destroyed by too much weight being stacked on it, but so far my shelves have performed well at holding things like my makeup, a few small boxes of art supplies, a few paperbacks on the bottom shelf, etc.- The shelves themselves are not adjustable once screwed in place, nor can you adjust the height prior unless you measure and drill new holes yourself.- The shelves came packed in Styrofoam that absolutely disintegrated and was a huge mess, so be careful when opening the boxes; maybe have a vacuum on hand.Overall, they’re basic little DIY shelves. They look okay, they perform well. Definitely a cheap, fast solution if you need a shelf that isn’t too big. The insert recommends no more than like 20 lbs per shelf, so if you want to use it for books, I’d be mindful to not load it with anything too heavy.
Great Deal for the Price Plus Free Static Cling. These little shelves are good for storage of lightweight, smaller items like model railroad supplies (see picture). They are not really suitable as bookshelves, with only 20 pounds load per shelf.Unpretentious, they assemble very easily in about 10 to 15 minutes, with screws for the shelves (all the holes aligned well) and what you or I would call brad nails for the back but the maker calls Power Pins (!).The major drawback is the time needed to remove eleventy-seven thousand Styrofoam pellets statically clinging to every surface, including your hands, tools, and work surface. Have a vacuum cleaner handy when unpacking! The static cling is a minor problem until you get to the tri-fold back, with its clear tape that not only holds the three back panels but also attracts Styrofoam debris with tenacity. The static cling issue could be resolved by wrapping the various pieces in plastic bags before shipping, but that’s more packaging and not very environmentally tidy. The shelves are nicely unitized so you could assemble one on top of the other (anchor to the wall and add cleats for safety). You could even leave the back off one and then place it in front of the other, getting over 18″ of shelf depth. The price is unbeatable. If you tried to buy thin MDF at Lowe’s and do it yourself, you would spend more than this delivered price.
Pretty Good for Particle Board Furniture. This shelf is a neat little shelf that I put in my kids playroom. It holds books and the DVD player sits on top of it. It was relatively easy to put together, but I had to make some modifications of my own because the shelf spacing did not work for what I needed. I ended up drilling my own holes so that I could raise a shelf to allow bigger books to fit under it.The shelf itself is pretty sturdy and I have not had any sagging. One thing that I wish the shelf came with though were white caps to go over the screws. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice. All things considered, I really like the shelf. It is the perfect size for the area that it is in and what I need it for. I have never really had great experience with particle board furniture, but this shelf seems to be holding its own. I guess it does help that I have not moved it much and it is light and small.
Decent for the price. This is a good shelf, easy to put together. I got a 6 tier for double the price to this four. So for me paying less, its still good. HOWEVER, my biggest issues were 1. It has no tools which is fine but is always nice 2. The bottom of the shelves are just particle board and not the actual color of the shelf you chose 3. There are no screw caps, to cover & blend in with the shelf and 4. the back comes folded in 3rds so you see the slits once it’s together. If any of that matters to you, I’d look elsewhere. But again for the price point it looks good and does it’s intended purpose!
Build sober please. Guys this is an easy build, However, I was extremely inebriated when I decided to build it. Due to being under the influence of a wonderful THC drink, I made some questionable choices. Let us go over them, shall we? For starters I put the backboard on backward, we love that. Because the backboard requires hammering in nails, instead of screws, it would be very hard for sober me to trifle with, so I left it. Mistake number 2, if you look at the image I have attached you can see that the bottom board has the crappy compressed wood facing up instead of the fake wood pattern. Finally, we have mistake number 3, Again we have the crappy compressed wood showing on the top board towards the front-facing edge. One may think “how could you mess this up so badly?” and to that I say, well my partner in crime was my drunk husband and we built this at 8 pm on a Friday soooo. Also, peep my book collection. It may be small now but one day I will have a mini library. yes, I know the Twilight series is corny but I don’t care. I recommend the Hate you give if you are into the BLM movement. I read this book 5 times and every time I sobbed and was moved by this story. Also, the movie DID NOT do this book justice, so don’t let that stop you from reading it. The next series on recommend on my bookshelf is the Scyth Trilogy. This book is for people who enjoy futuristic concepts as well as the utopia/Dystopia concepts. Truly a fascinating read, especially since AI is developing at a fast rate these days. This book has its own advanced AI that is truly something else.
Love it ❤️. This bookshelf was perfect for my books. I had a smaller bookshelf for my manga books and I needed another one for my chapter books and this fit perfectly next to my other bookshelf which is also a Furrino bookshelf. It was easy to put together. It didn’t take longer than 30 minutes. All the pieces fit into place. Only thing is when putting the back board on one of the screws was kind of close to the edge and I didn’t notice so be careful when doing that part! Other than I love it so much!
Good for storing novels, not textbooks. It’s a four star book shelf. Listen, my friend, it’s cheap. You know what the construction is like: particle board, cardboard, screws that you better not over-tighten. But it does it’s job. The main thing I want to convey with this review is that the height of each shelf is pretty short. Good for storing novels or manga, but any larger texts will not fit. It wasn’t until I had it assembled that I realized that most of my books were too large for this shelf, because it had not occurred to me to measure my average book height. That’s on me, but have you either?
Fine for the price. I purchased two of these for my home office/game room. They were very affordable, and the color is nice. Additionally, they were easy to put together for the most part. That being said, they do seem a bit flimsy–the instruction manual itself says that each shelf can only hold 15lbs–so I would not want to use this for books or anything heavy. Additionally, as can be expected at this price, they’re particle board, and several of the pieces don’t line up particularly well. Also, one of the bottom pieces (labeled B) didn’t have the holes marking where to attach the part that goes along the ground in the front (part C), and in the other package, one of the little plastic feet didn’t have a nail in it.Overall, for the price and what I got them for, these are fine. I wouldn’t put them in a living room or somewhere like that, nor would I put anything heavy (like books) on them, but for a home office, bedroom, or game room, these could be a decent option.
Too small for the majority of use cases. Non-adjustable shelves. Looking for a bookcase around waist-high and wide, I figured I could put two of these side-by-side to get the effect I was going for.Initial thoughts were that it looked suspiciously small coming out of the box, but the wood grain effect was pretty nice. I chose Blackwood, which matched my Ikea air purifier top quite well. Assembly was a breeze, but I was a little turned off by the screw holes being a single diameter all the way through the side panels, just barely smaller than the head of the screw. I also realized the shelf spacing was not adjustable. My fault for not checking before purchasing. After speedily assembling the first bookcase, I started trying to place my old technical books on the shelf. First book, didn’t fit. Second book, barely fit. Third book fit, it was smaller. All of my spiral-bound books did not fit.Okay, it’s not meant for books. Maybe I’ll use it to store some of my misfit kitchen items instead. 3lb protein didn’t fit. Surely the 2lb will fit, nope. 1.3lb, okay that one did fit but now I still have a bunch of misfits.Maybe I can use it to store my old photo albums. Nope. How about my old Wii games. Okay, game and movie cases do fit. Big whoop!I didn’t even bother nailing the back panel on. I’ll be sending my second bookcase back. I can’t find a use case to keep these bookcases around.
Nice cheap bookcase. Good bookcases for their price. It is cheaper and thinner materials so be aware of the books you’re putting on it.One thing to note is you can see the seam of the backing (2nd photo). Which is fine since it’s filled with books but you may want to wallpaper the backing if you’re not going to fill the bookcase.
good small light-duty bookcase easy to assemble. Simple, light-weight shelves, easily assembled. Extra kudos for the simple small but effective nail holder that keeps the nail upright, away from your fingers, and positioned exactly right distance from the edge (you nail the very thin back onto the shelves). In the photo of two, I added simple vertical support to avoid what would otherwise be sagging shelves (they are just friction fit). To be clear, these are not fine furniture – just vinyl over thin particle board, but good value for what they are.

good value -not for heavy use. Needed this to add to my closet to store handbags, folded leggings. etc. Easy to put together and looks good. But obviously not furniture that would withstand heavy usage. Still great value.
Good product, rotten packaging. The product is very nice. Packaging from the manufacturer was not so nice. Styrofoam was broken into little pieces, making a huge mess. They could have done a little better.
Cool. I really like this bookcase. It is smaller but fits in smaller spaces easier while still having enough room to store books, decor, etc. The shelves hold up quite a lot without giving out and the set-up instructions are also really easy to follow.
