Great trimmers, but safety guard gets in the way. My dog luckily has almost all while toenails which makes it easy to see the inner quick. Because I can see exactly where I need to stop the the trimmer I haven’t needed the safety guard and I usually find it irritating because it gets in the way but most of the time. There is no way to remove it, so generally I’m just fighting to keep it turned off to the side and out of the way.The clippers themselves are fantastic, other than that. They are nice and grippy and allow me to hold them at strange angles in order to trim my dogs toenails however he may be positioned. A quick snap and they cut right through his large toenails with little resistance. I’ve only use the file a few times and don’t find it helpful for me, but we take a lot of walks on sidewalks and concrete that naturally files them down and reduces the sharp edges.
functional. The guard works well, though I wish it was fixed in place. The handle could use some reinforcement as it flexes if your dog has thicker nails. Overall, functional and cheap
GREAT GREAT GREAT. My pittie pup hates getting her nails clipped and I always have to go pay to get them done. I took a chance and bought these “cheap” clippers and swore i as going to do it myself.They are so easy to use, guide you, and super sharp so they clip great. I don’t even think she noticed what I was doing!!!!Great purchase even if you are skeptical to try on your own.

Clippers work well not the file. The clippers work great. I have used them on my cat and small dog. The trim guard is really helpful since I cannot see the quick in my dog’s nails. The file is terrible if you can call it a file. It is more of a metal bar with a crosshatch design. Neither of my animals could stand it. But overall worth it for the clippers.
Don’t think twice… Buy it. They are light weight and easy to maneuver. When I first held them in my hand I thought because it was so light weight that they would be cheap and not good. Also because I only paid just a few dollars for them I thought they wouldn’t be able to through my large dogs thick nails. BUT I WAS WRONG! THEY CUT THROUGH THE FIRST NAIL WITH COMPLETE EASE! 😀 I continued to cut and I nearly hand to use any strength in my hand. I went through all of my dogs nails quickly and easily. These clippers were a replacement for a heavier pair I had that I lost. But that pair, at some points I had to use two hands to pull the clippers together on the second use. I’m so excited I found these and I look forward to taking care of my big dog 🐕 for a long time. (I didn’t need to use the file because the cut was perfect)
Simplified my life considerably. This is apparently what my chihuahua was waiting for. She sat still and let me trim her nails with them. Even though she’s the sweetest, friendliest and even tempered little thing I’ve ever known it still took two of us to get them done before. One to hold and one to trim. These were way more acceptable to her than the grinder type. Who knows why? Dogs are weird. Especially chihuahuas.

Love. I love the easy grip, quality, the back stopper so you don’t clip too much, and how easy to use these are. They’re extremely safe especially for people who are learning to clip nails on dogs!
So much easier to use. I had been using Walmart clippers that the nail needed to go into and it seemed uncomfortable for our dog and wasn’t a clean cut. These are SO much easier, faster, and smoother to use. After having these, and seeing how much easier it is on our dog and me, I have guilt for not getting these sooner!
Great value. I am thrilled with this product! It has exceeded my expectations with its high quality and superior performance. Unlike other inexpensive nail cutters, I have had no issues using it on my Doberman’s nails.

Sharp and clean cut. Easy to use and safe for my dogs large thick nails. He isn’t fond of the task so being able to make it easy and quick, minimizing tearing and rough edges is a win for us both

There is a safety so you don’t cut too far into the qwick but use common sense as it’s too far out for small dogs and you’ll cut too much off. Helpful it comes with a file to file down rough edges.*PROS: Sharp and effective. Has a safety. Metal filer provided.*CONS: None.

Does what it should, but how do I convince my dog. I have never purchased clippers before, but these do exactly what they should. They are reasonably priced, comfortable to hold, and actually clipped the one toenail I was able to do so far. Now how do I convince my tiny tyrant to trust me with the rest of his toes!
Works great. My dog has really tuff nails and these clippers work great on getting thru them. Also great quality material they have been made out of. I was surprised at how well made they are for the price I paid. Definitely recommend if you need good quality clippers.
Perfect. Dog hates it, I love it. It’s pretty solid and can handle clipping my dogs talons really well. I really like the guard at the end that helps me measure how long to clip. It makes it really easy to clip without splintering the nail and the grip on it is nice.

As anyone knows., trimming any small dogs dewclaws is a challenge with normal animal toenail clippers. Due to their teeny tiny structure. Normally, I end up using my own large toenail clippers on her dewclaws. This was the first time I have ever had the appropriate size. Trimming toenails was fast., easy with no fight. Perfect cut. For the price, I wasn’t expecting much. I was totally wrong? My dog’s nails are thick and his prior owner probably never cut them. These done great. My daughter even commented how much better his nails look. I’m very happy with my purchase.
