Good Stuff, but received bad product. I have 2 Westies and one of them has some serious bad breath!! So, I’ve purchased so many different products in the form of a liquid to try and freshen their breath. This Senergy Dental Fresh is the only freshener that my dogs like in their water!! I’ve tried the Petco brands and they leave too much of a minty smell to the water, and my dogs refuse to drink their water. I had to fight them off the toilet bowl because that is where they would end up! :)So, needless to say, this is the only stuff I can use that does work. You only need a little to do the trick. I have a small water bowl so all I add to it is about 2 Tbsp to their empty bowl, and then I fill the rest of the bowl with fresh tap water. Doing it this way also helps to mix the stuff in well w/ the water. Also, I chose to buy it online because it was cheaper than buying it at Petco and having to take the 30 minute trip as well.Now, the only reason why I gave these 4 stars and not 5 is because the two bottles they sent me were bad. I opened the first one and automatically I could tell something was wrong when I pulled off the safety seal. Normally this product does have a slight distinct smell to it that I can’t describe, but when I opened the 1st bottle it had more of a strong chemical/plastic smell to it. I still tried to mix it with water, but I could smell some chemical smell in the water really strong. (Normally you can smell a faint smell that just smells like ummm…dull water??) So I just dumped the bottle. The second bottle didn’t smell quite as bad, but I could still once again smell a chemical smell that was not normal with the usual product I purchase. I still added it and diluted it with water, but my dogs didn’t drink their water which is not very common. Stupid me had torn up the receipt a week prior, and dumped the product out their bottle, when I should have returned it. I still ended up having to drive to Petco in the next town over, and pay $20 for a 32 fl oz bottle. Just to make sure I wasn’t crazy, I did open up the bottle and smelled the product before I bought it, which had the smell I thought it should. (You can still smell the stuff through the safety seal).Despite the 2 bad bottles I received, I stand by this product and love it because it is a simple way to keep the dog’s teeth clean and breath fresh. This shouldn’t be a substitute for brushing their teeth though. Also, it prevents you from having to give them numerous treats to freshen their breath. (Especially if you’re watching their weight) A 17.3 oz bottle normally lasts about 3-4 wks for my two Westies who drink about 1 (16 oz) bowl a day.
Dogs don’t seem to mind it. We add a splash of this when we fill our dog bowls. Our dogs haven’t had build up on their teeth, even though we are really lax on brushing — most days we only use this and the occasional Greenie. The dogs don’t seem to mind the taste, and it doesn’t smell like anything, just water. We went through one bottle in about a month, though we just use a little splash and don’t fill up the cap like the directions say to do (I’m sure it would run out faster that way). It is mostly water, so I can see how dogs wouldn’t notice it in the water. We have used this product for a little over a month and have not noticed any negative effects.
Works but not as expected from other reviews. When I purchased this, I was expecting an all around solution to my dog’s atrocious breath. After using it for a few weeks and finishing off the bottle, it definitely works but not to the extent of what I was seeing other reviews claim.His bad breath is mostly gone but there is a bit left mixed with the scent of the product which is a bit of a metallic scent. Much better than before but still something to fix, I’ll be purchasing another bottle to see if the repetition helps. Highly recommend for a quick and easy solution!
It totally works. I didn’t think it would work because my dogs breath smells like death. But I said it’s cheap not gonna hurt to try. I didn’t event know how this thing works it’s clear and my dogs drink their water like normal so it must not have a taste. But I can actually get close to my dog without gagging now. This was a great buy.

Helps with the Breath. My Yorkie is a senior and I can’t take her in to get teeth cleaned any longer due to her heart condition. Her breath was getting pretty bad. I bought this and it does work, and my other dog and 2 cats don’t mind the taste at all.

WOW it works. My 4 yr old Yorkie has the worst plaque build up. I tried so hard to brush her teeth and it was impossible. I have her teeth cleaned which requires anesthesia which can be dangerous. I found this additive and it started working in a few days. Her breath smells 100% better. Her breath odor gets worse it is the indicator she needs her teeth cleaned again. I am hoping if I continue to use this her plaque will decrease as well. I will follow this review up in a month.
Dog teeth freshener for the water. Now I love this stuff this water, additive teeth breath, freshener stuff. This kind could’ve been a little bit more minty, and it takes a lot to make a gallon of water of water which I measure out and then put in the refrigerator so they have nice ice cold water during the summer, it just takes too much to make the amount there would go with another brand personally use your own judgment
awesome. my dog loves this, she drinks water all day and night and still does did not change water taste at all and i like the cute green tint it add to the water so is easier to see water level in her clear water system as it is a gal and half auto water system and her teeth are so nice and her breath very fresh
Damaged bottle. Didn’t realize it was leaking right away. Product damaged when arrived but works well.
Freshens breath. This won’t magically clean your dog’s teeth, but it does help with their breath. A couple of my dogs seem to prefer it, as they will come get a fresh drink after it’s been added.
Works, but. This definitely helps cut down on my 3 Golden Retrievers’ bad breath problem It does NOT keep the water fresh (IOW bowl still get slimy) and the bottles are NOT well sealed, not are they shipped in a plastic bag.I have not found a way to complain to Amazon about this issue -maybe a review will help change their packing procedure.

This Stuff is Amazing. I wouldn’t have believed it if we hadn’t experienced this product. We inherited an old bischon poodle from my uncle. She had been groomed right before we got her, but she smelled so bad. Then someone told me how old little dogs frequently develop bad breath in old age and recommended a water additive. I had never heard of such a thing, but was willing to try anything. Her breath would fill our vehicle when driving and was really terrible. It was bad at home also, but really noticeable in smaller spaces. We ordered the water additive and started using it per the instructions right away. Within days our doggie’s breath no longer smelled! At her regular vet appointment, the vet said she had bad dental issues that were beyond just cleaning the teeth. He said for $800-1000 they could work on her dental issues and remove some bad teeth and that would improve her breath. I was so glad that the water additive was effective because we did not want to put out that kind of money for dental work! We also have cats and they are young, but they drink this water too and hopefully it will act as prevention for them!
