Worked great on removing scale from the pool. Worked great on removing scale from the pool. I had some, what looked to be scale on the sun deck (top step of the pool) of my pool and I tried everything to get rid of it. I even tried to pressure wash it and nothing. Normally I use Acid to lower the PH in the pool but the store was out of it so I purchased some Clorox Pool & Spa pH down and sprinkled it all around the pool. While doing this it sprinkled some on this upper step of the pool and within seconds the scale seemed to disappear. Based on this I purchased another bag and sprinkled it on the sun deck. As you can see in the pictures it came out fantastic and the upper shelf looks like new.
It did the job. I fill my pool with well water which is really high in alkaline and ph but this stuff did the trick to getting it brought down. It did take me nearly a whole bag for my pool but that’s not the product’ fault because like I said, the alkaline was through the roof high. Will buy this again next summer.
Effective and Cheaper than Pool Supply Store. My pool supply store was completely sold out of dry acid (PH DOWN). I’m glad they were sold out! I ordered this in the hopes it would work. Worked perfectly! I liked the packaging (no thick plastic container to recycle) and the instructions were clear and easy to read. Pool is crystal clear and perfect now.
Only thing that worked. This is the best product for the price. It seemed to work fast on evening out the PH in the pool. Very happy with this and will buy it again.
Sure beats dangerous liquid acid. After many years of using muriatic acid I will never go back to that stuff. This powder works like a charm.
Goold Product and good price. The current price is affordable comparable at this price to Liquid acid. My Ph was at or even above 8 and my TA was 140 too. I know even if I bring down the PH I need to get the TA down too (be sure your CYA is no more than 60 ppm or you need to bring it down because it interferes with the testing on TA (higher than it really is per Taylor Technologies), so remove some water and refill if you have to. This is why I use Liquid Chlorine instead of tabs because even if you started the pool with 30-50 CYA as recommened, each tab will add 6ppm CYA too and that adds up quickly causing you to go through higher amounts of Chlorine to do the job. But PH is extremely important on how much effectiveness you get out of your FC, so first PH and then address the chlorine. I have a 10,000 gal play pool and I can’t keep FC in the pool, but the first thing I am getting under control is the PH which can be done in 1-2 days with this product. 7 oz of dry acid is suppose to be equal to 1 cup liquid acid. At frst the PH was stubborn to come down the first tretment of 3 cups Chlorox PH down, but each subsequent treatment of 2 cups taking about 5 treatments in 2 half days. It went like this; started at 8 ppm with 3 cups and after was still 8ppm, next treatment started at 8, came down to 7.8 over night it went back to 8, next treatment start at 8 and dropped to 7.6, I didn’t stop there because my TA will 100 and my experience tells me it won’t hold so I did nothr treatment right away with 22 more cups and wallah ph is 7.2 and TA is now 80 which I’m hoping is low enough to stablize the PN from constantly rising. If not I will treat again (no lower than 7.2 and test TA again and see if 60 is the sweet spot. I have added non chlorine shock and alage 60 too to control any algae blooms and some chlorine too at night only. This has taken two and one half 5 lb bags of Chlorex PH down 93% to accomplish this. I am determined and hope Chlorox doesn’t increase their price or I willhave to look at other options. I can’t use and won’t use muriatic acid.

acidifier and clarifier. This stuff is a strong granulated acid. It’s also a good clarifier when it’s offset with baking soda. It may contribute to bleaching the pool liner. I previously used Clear Balance but the price went up too much.

Clorox. Clorox is a well known brand and I’ve always had great luck with using their products. This cleaned up my pool issue of Green water and returned it to its clear state. Definitely will buy again to maintain the proper pH in my water. Very good price for the amount that you get dissolves very well.

pH down. I was kinda tired of using Muriatic Acid and having to be so careful and the fumes. I tried this and it works great. I use the recommended amount on the bag and it gets my pH right within about 45-60min. I love it

Did the job for less. I bought this item to save a little money as opposed to buying a similar product from our local pool supplier. Its purpose is to lower the ph level in our above ground pool. My wife has sensitive skin and felt fine in the treated water. Mission accomplished, money saved. Highly recommended.
