Important to leave shampoo on the required time, add water and shampoo, to rinse very thoroughly. My American Pit Bull Mix had a heat rash and yeast itch. Our vet recommended a special shampoo for the itching and rash. After using it as directed, our pups itching was worse than before. We tried it again and and found it did not produce the desired results. After reading the reviews for Burt’s Bees for Pets Itch Soothing Shampoo with Honeysuckle, I ordered a bottle to try. After the first application his itching was reduced by about 60%. A week later and a second treatment,, he was still scratching but about 80% less. It’s true that you have to use a considerable amount each time but for our pup its worth it. His coat is clean and very smooth. I found that leaving the shampoo on for the required time is important . I also found the first time we used this shampoo, we apparently didn’t rinse long enough to remove all the shampoo so his coat appeared oily. We ended up re-rinsing which made quite a difference. I would recommend this product as it has produced the results we were looking for.

Good, but already diluted, so not as much as you think. This shampoo is ok, but I’m used to concentrate shampoo. I tend to use more if it is already diluted. So that 32 oz. doesn’t last very long. It has a very faint scent. I thought it would have more of the honeysuckle smell. I’m used to a big, fresh scent. I like my pups to smell fresh. Thought I would give this a try, it was a good price, but it ought to say ready to use on it. I like Burt’s bees products. Maybe I’ll try to find one that isn’t diluted.

Amazing. I love this product. I use it combined with a shampoo and leave in conditioner for my pup and it works very well to hydrate and stop him from itching! Plus it’s a huge bottle for very little! And it doesn’t leave a residue on his fur. It’s very nice.

Didn’t help. The product smells nice and is easy to use. The directions are clearly printed on the label. However, my dogs itching did not subside after several uses of this product. I’m not sure what’s causing the itch but unfortunately this didn’t help. I do like the fact that it smelt nice, and my dog’s fur did appear softer to me after using it.

Not greasy. It’s not greasy and doesn’t smell. I can spray it on and rub it in. It doesn’t seem to be effective though

Softens fur + no residue. Absolutely love this!!!! My dog has been itching less with regular use. About maybe 2 weeks of using it every other day his itching has decreased about 70%. It’s important to note though his itching wasn’t caused by food allergies, just environmental factors outside. But more than that I love this spray because he used to have rough fur and this has totally transformed his coat to be very soft and silky! even others have noticed! I would use this just as a conditioning spray and moisturizer if nothing else. It is light and does not leave a residue and has no scent other than a very very slight honeysuckle. This product is best if your dog itches mildly from grass, heat, pesticides that sort of thing. Not some serious allergies. Love it! Will purchase again when it runs out. I usually just spray liberally and then massage it into his coat and brush him. It dries very quick.

good product. I like this for in-between spa treatments for the dogs, I just bath the dog, dry, spray this on and helps with the itch (even if no time for a bath) and it smells good too

Does the job with no harm to pets. Our sheltie has allergies and twice a year will lick or chew the same spot on his leg. I wanted to purchase something with little to no odor, that wouldn’t burn my pet, and that wasn’t vet-expensive. I have tried other products, and if my dog saw me holding the bottle, he’d run. So obviously, those products would burn. I can, with peace of mind, use this product without chasing my dog through the house. Just a few spays to the area & instantly, no more scratching!

Don’t have to let it dry before dog licks. Seems to work well if you can get it past the hair and have it touch the pets skin. Rub it in with your hand.

Works. Is soothing to my itchy dog. I have a newly rescued adoptee. Her skin was in a bad state at first. Now it’s calming down, but she still has spots she chews at or licks. I got this since my groomer recommended the Burt’s Bees shampoo for itchy skin. It’s a good compliment to the shampoo. It’s easy to apply. I just spray it on my hands and pet my dog. She seems to enjoy it and doesn’t scratch as much afterwards. It’s not a cure, but it does help while she is healing.
