Great for dogs with digestion and bowel issues. We have a 9 lb Yorkshire Terrier that is 12 years old.He loves eating Food in Gravy; however we noticed that his stomach sometimes does not agree with his eagerness for the food. Therefore my husband went into Petsmart to see what alternatives they had and was recommended to this product.Since we made the switch, our dog has had 0 stomach issues and his body seems to be digesting it very well (I am writing this after three months of use daily).The only downside with this (in my dog’s opinion) is that the smell must not be so appealing as he tends to eat this as a last resort and acceptance of there being no alternatives. However given the option of this vs wet food in gravy; they would be no contest!

Great for Dogs with Sensitive Tummies. After struggling for 7 years trying to get our Puggle to eat, we have finally hit the jackpot! She has always been fed Blue Buffalo Chicken recipes and had issues with frequent bouts of vomiting and eating grass.The rep was at a PetSmart during a recent visit and we had a conversation with her about the dogs tummy issues. She suggested the Small Breed Blue Basics Limited Ingredient to try. I mixed a little water to make the “gravy” as the rep suggested along with the 1 tablespoon canned pumpkin that we had always used. She has anal gland leakage issues and the pumpkin seemed to help with that.Sadie now begs to eat and I have to actually hold her off of her afternoon feeding! Finally after all this long time we were actually happy with what we were giving her!BUT… she is very gassy and the anal gland leakage has become worse which smells like a dead fish!! She also has an odor about her that is terrible and no matter how many baths she gets she has like a smelly “fog” and you can smell her from another room. Now I am reading that some people’s pets are having issues with severe gastroenteritis and with bloody diarrhea from being fed Blue Buffalo!!Very concerned now as she seems to really like this food and I really do not want to change her again…
Great food for sensitive pup tummies. This is quality dry dog food kibble. Our pup has a very sensitive stomach, but she has no issues with this food. I wish the reloadable zipper was adhered to the bag better and easier to close. After about a week of opening and closing the bag twice a day, the zipper seal separates from the bag itself. We end up storing the whole bag in an air tight container.
Dogs love it. Was buying Hills stuff that was twice the cost and it just didn’t agree with the dogs (two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels).
Better for my pup with Gastrointestinal issues. My pup used to periodically throw up from various kinds of foods. I’ve tried A LOT. So far, this one has been great. He likes the flavor and eats all we give him. Has not thrown up in months. Looks like finding a more gentle food with limited ingredients has been the answer.YAY!
Our dog spits out certain pieces. We’re switching brands. From what we can tell, this hasn’t done much to ease her sensitive stomach. It also didn’t make it worse. However, the reason we’re switching is because she doesn’t like certain pieces, and spits them out.There are 2 types of kibble in this. Our dog eats the flat disk shaped pieces, but picks out the dark, small round pieces and leaves them lying all around her bowl. To be honest I’m surprised her taste is this nuanced, and her mouth capable of separating them. The pieces she’s spitting out probably do not taste as good as the rest, which means it’s also probably where the nutrition is. So not only is she making a mess leaving food everywhere, but she’s also not getting the full nutritional value.The dog food search continues…

Best food for my Shih Tzu’s. I was giving this food to my two 14 year old Shih Tzu and they did wonderful with it. My vet decided to put them on prescription renal support food which wreaked havoc on their stomachs. After my dogs had constant diarrhea and feeling I was going to lose my dogs because they were so sick, I put them back on this Blue Buffalo food. After 6 days back on the food, they are both doing soooo much better. The cost is reasonable and they seem to enjoy the taste and size of the kibble. And luckily, I can set up my orders for auto delivery.

Blue buffalo dry food. This was another dry food that was recommended from my dog sitter for my pet Chihuahua. He seems to enjoy it. help with shedding and digestive system.
Blue Buffalo Basics. My little dog loves the taste of Blue Buffalo Turkey & Potato. The breeder told me that she would have problems with food upsetting her stomach. Ever since I brought her home she only has had two times of anupset stomach.
Bought for my 7 year old small dog. My dog loved this food right from the start. I didn’t have to even mix with her old food but for a day. She eats better now, her skin is clearing up and hair is growing back. I’m so happy with this food so far. If your dog has skin issues this may be the food for them.
