Seems perfect. I love the slim style and particularly the very thick glass blending jar. I love that it is dishwasher safe because I plan on putting mine in the dishwasher to clean. I don’t need a fancy blender and I don’t plan on blending ice in it, although I’ve seen a video that it works really well on ice. I haven’t actually blended anything yet as I just received it, but I did register it on the company website. There is a 2-year warranty, so if I have any problems, I feel confident that I can get a satisfactory resolution. This makes it hard for me understand what all the negative reviews are about. Did they fail to register their purchase and can’t get satisfaction? At any rate, I trust the Black & Decker company and I own numerous products from them. I’m happy with all of them even after several years. My only complaint is that frequently their motors seem to be over-the-top loud. I haven’t tried this blender yet, but I only plan on using it in the daytime, so my neighbors will have to put up with me like I put up with them.
Compact Blender. The slim design takes less room on the kitchen counter. It is good for making oat flour from oatmeal flakes. It crushes fruit also for homemade ice cream.
it has quality and is functional. I am satisfied with the product. It’s not so noisy, it works well, and it has a good height, which fits well in the closets. As it is made of glass, the glass is ideal for a small family.
Does what’s expected. This is my first blender so have no experience to compare it to. Was on a purée diet for a month and the blender performed well. Easy to take apart for cleaning. I didn’t want to pay a lot for something I might not use much and this was a great buy in my opinion.
Great for the price. Sleek, looks great on the counter. Works believable well for the price!
Broke After 2.5 Years. Buying another one. -Bought this blender 2.5 years ago when I moved out-Have used it roughly 2x a day each day for a frozen spinach and banana smoothie 2x a day.-It broke and would not start randomly, however, after around 912.5 uses? I’m fine with that reality.I just bought a new company blender (which was way more expensive) and there’s this rubber smell it’s emitting when blending certain things. I’m not set if I’m going to return it or not? So I bought this just in case. I cannot be without a smoothie for a day LOL.TLDR: This blender is amazing for the money and does the job. No, it doesn’t blend everything down into a fine paste, but honestly it was good enough for me for 2.5 years! I loved it.
Great Mixer/Doesnt crush ice as well as I had hoped. I stuck with Black and Decker blender when my old B & D blender finally broke. It’s high quality, sturdy and glass (which ppl with plastic blenders said they cracked). Mostly I wanted it for my frozen Margaritas! Nothing worse than a couple of big chunks of ice in ur drink. It’s not perfect. If I take the extra time to adjust the ice then blend again until it is small enough to suit me. The shipper was fast. Package was sturdy with no breakage. Price is fair compared to others
loud. loved the look and the size. tried pureeing cooked oatmeal but water i added stayed on top, had to stir in by hand and mix further. with just water, it worke fine. with oatmeal, it made the most horrendous racket, i was not comfortable with it. another odd thing was that it did not have a rubber gasket like every blender i’ve ever owned but it did not leak. it’s possible i might have not seen it. sad to return it but i don’t trust that loud racket and i don’t want to have to stop mid-blend and stir to mix in the liquid
Love it. This product gives me the best iced smoothies ever. So happy of the quality especially considering the convenience of the price.Very easy to use and cleanUsed to blend different fruit, vegetables and ice and works amazingly
Makes good milkshakes. Great for making milkshakes – that’s mainly what I’m using it for. Powerful motor, but needs a low-speed setting – a variable speed dial would be perfect. When I’m using milk with frozen fruit and veggies (.5-inch pieces) in the supplied plastic drinking glass (not the jar), even the lowest speed sounds and feels like the whole thing is going to explode on the counter. Sounds like the gears are grinding and stripping – like trying to shift a manual transmission without pushing in the clutch. Even with the base and glass tightly screwed together, it somehow leaks and squirts out while blending. Pulsing the frozen ingredients before blending doesn’t help much either. I pulse a dozen times but it still vibrates and makes horrible, loud grinding/stripping noises, even after everything is smoothly blended, so it’s not the hard, frozen food causing it. The gears and couplers are all plastic and I really believe they’re going to crack apart every time I use it, which is every morning. We’ll see how long it lasts.I’ll do a follow-up review in a few months, if it lasts that long.Follow-up 3-16-2026I’ve had this now for 16 months and have used it for less than 5 hours total (I use it for about 5 minutes twice a week). The only thing which has failed is the blender blade assembly – the bearing has seized and the blade will not rotate. The preferable online replacement center is out of stock, so I have ordered a possible replacement from Amazon. Will update further after new blade arrives and has been tested.
For the price its great. I upgraded to this from a small Ninja personal unit and this is 100% better. I have been making smoothies using frozen berries rather than fresh and it has no problem blending the frozen and liquid to make a great end product. Very reasonable price as well !!!! Heavy glass jar ….looks and feels solid and well made.
Works good. Works good . I like the glass, especially with the info on how bad micro plastics are , it ‘s an absolute must. It has good power but it makes a racket. I honestly thought I got a bad one with the amount of noise and vibration. I checked it out as far as the bearings and the motor and everything seems tight and smooth. I use it a lot, no leaks. I got used to the noise . It blends nice , comes apart nice, easy to clean. The price was awesome. As long as it keeps working , I’m digging my noisy blender.
Fantastic Blender. We love this blender, it does everything. It does crush ice, we have pureed all kinds of fruits and vegetables, it’s fantastic. However, my favorite thing about this blender is how easy it is to clean. The glass jar is thick and sturdy and has a nice weight to it. The very best part is the bottom comes apart so we are able to clean the blade and make sure there are no food particles collecting. This is extremely important so no bacteria can build up.
Solid Blender! Well made. Solid blender! I wanted a blender with a wider base so I could also attempt to use it for chopping herbs and making sauces or dips during the cold months. I almost bought another Oster as my last one worked great but it was a combo blender/chopper. with two tops. I didn’t want all those pieces. So, so far upon arrival i made a thick smoothie and it worked great! Love the pour spout with the cap and the additional openinng to pour in more liquid. The immediate feeling of the machine was “solid”. The glass blender and plastic top feel well made (top fits snug) and it was easy to assemble and take a part to clean. Next I have to try using for salsa and see how that works. But, overall this is a good blender and I also found it to be on the quieter side compared to my Oster.
Would Recomend. I really like this blender. It is very versatile because there is a variety of buttons on it so that you can make many different things but so far I’ve only made smoothies. It has alit of power so it grinds all of my frozen fruit pretry quickly and perfectly so that my smoothies turn out really smooth and not chunky. It is pretty big so you get alot made at once. The seal on top is strong, I didn’t have any issues with leakage.
Excellent blender that is reasonably priced. Great Blender! Works much better than an older Waring Blender I had for years.
Been great for me. This blender feels to me like the tank blenders of old. Thick glass, heavy motor, tight seal on the top.The blender also seats well in the base for a very stable feel. The choices of blender speeds is adequate to my needs but some folks may need more speed options.The jar itself is well designed and all the parts fit together tightly. I’ve had no problems running all the jar parts, including the lid, through the dishwasher. I think my only complaint is that the surface of the lid is oddly soft and scratches VERY easily.
Working very well so far. I’ve had this blender for 2 months now. I’ve been able to make soup, sauce, and smoothies easily. It is very solid and feels good quality. Easy to use, easy to clean.
B & D says POWER Crusher and They Mean It. One hell of a shake maker. Crushes ice in seconds. Sharpest blades I’ve ever used.Oh…it comes with a GLASS Shaker. No more plastic for me. The glass is so easy to cleancompared to plastic.
Built solid. Simple operation. My wife drinks Slim Fast meal substitutes. Just out of curiosity, I poured one into the blender and pressed the button for about half a minute. I wish all could see the expression when she started drinking it. Now she’s spoiled and I will need to use it ever more. The advantage, the clean function does work very good. Thirty seconds after a little water and detergent, it was clean as new, all the way to the top. If I had any complaints, the chord could be a couple of feet longer. My guess is that the short chord was a lawyer thing.
