  1. Picks Up Everything You Didn’t Realize Is In Your Pool. These are an excellent value; had this set for a year now and still in great shape. They will hold onto the small particles the ‘normal’ bags just let shoot through to cloud up the water. I’ve found fine bristles from the pool brush, a metal scrubber brush, and just about everything else you can think of gets trapped by these sand/silt bags. I’ve basically stopped using the ‘standard’ leaf bags as they let so much get through them. These are my go-to for keeping the pool clean. If you want them to last (velcro bag closure), you rotate the bags out and shake out what’s trapped inside via the entry tube side…it’s easy, then just let it dry out before opening the velcro and rotate the bags again. If you open the velcro closure end when bag is wet, the very fine gunk inside gets stuck in the velcro and it won’t last doing it that way, which is the primary complaint with a velcro-closure style bag. Just be smarter than the bag, and they’ll last a long time.

  2. Good price for pool cleaner bags. I purchased the product because I wanted a finer mesh than the all purpose bag I usually use. I have some fine particles that are forming and accumulating at the bottom of my pool. When the polaris vacuums it, instead of staying the bag, the particles go through the mesh bag. I was hopeful this ATIE bag would be fine enough to trap the material, but it wasn’t. I would view this as an all purpose bag at a decent price. I would prefer zipper access instead of the velcro. The velcro is at the very side of the bag, which is a good position. If it were closer to the center of the bag, it would be more difficult to remove the debris.

  3. Sand, but not sure about silt. These fit just fine and capture much finer particles than the standard leaf bag. Legit sand seems to get picked up, but silt not so much.I have flagstone around the pool (I didn’t install it, came that way) that sluffs off into the pool. When the Polaris goes over a spot, you can see the fine mist of silt exit the top of the bag.I think If you live in an area with legit sand (Florida?) that gets into the pool. These would work pretty well. They didn’t work that well for my issue though.

Does not filter diatomaceous earth. This is a fine filter bag. However, I bought it because it was advertised as filtering silt – which I hoped would include DT filter material that leaked into my pool. It does not. So, if that is what you need, don’t buy this filter bag.

Same as Polaris Sand and Silt bag. I have bought a few of these bags (I like to let them dry between using them so I can shake them clean) and so far I am more than happy -they collect the same size of sand and silt as the Polaris. The bag is the same size. The material is different. I have only had them for a few months so I will update this review in a year to see if they are durable! But so far so good!
