  1. Not terrific, but does the job. I bought this for my cat to use so I would not have to always remember check the water dish every morning and night, along with being able to handle being away overnight. Turns out, my cat doesn’t like it. Also, to keep the bowl clean (stuff floating around settling in the water and ending up at the bottom of the bowl) you either have to have an animal that will empty it in two or three days so you have a chance to rinse it out or you have to sacrifice about a liter of water. So basically, this is a good product but only for the right pet. My one complaint is that the bottle attachment could use a more positive “it’s locked” feeling.

  2. Sturdy and Dies Not Leak. I like that this waterer is sturdy and the cap keeps the tank from leaking. My cat is very large. He was constantly swatting at the tank to see the water move, especially when it would bubble. I was concerned that he would knock the tank off and make a mess, but I used it for a few weeks, and he didn’t. If he did knock it off, I’m pretty sure the cap would keep it from pouring out water. The cost of this waterer was about the same as smaller ones that I found a couple of pet stores where I checked, but they did not look sturdy enough to handle my crazy cat. You could leave one of these up permanently, but I only used it while I was out of town, because it takes up quite a bit of space in the small room where I feed my cat. If your cat is normal, you might be able to get by with something smaller.

  3. Great Product. We ordered this set for our 3 cats, we are going to be gone for a long weekend and didn’t have anyone to feed and water them. We have been using them for the past couple of days and they seem to be doing the trick. The food doesn’t always dispense the way it should but the cats are able to get it to drop so we believe everything will be fine. I would recommend this product if you’re looking for something for short trips away from home.

  4. LOOK NO FURTHER…. This pet waterer is wonderful. It’s simple with no intricate parts. The box contains 3 parts; ONE-PIECE screw top for water bottle, water bottle, and base/bowl. PREVIOUSLY, I bought ANOTHER make and model, that was more expensive, and the screw top broke before I could fill it up for the second time. It had delicate plastic parts and a spring in the screw top that broke off when I unscrewed it. This one is so much better!!!

  5. Old design was easier to clean. The old design was easier to clean, because the inside of the bowl and locking mechanism was all one continuous surface that could be wiped down. This one has a narrower opening and sharper edges making it harder to clean effectively. It’s still a good product, just much less convenient now. I preferred the old design.

  6. Gravity feeder and water for pets. These are made from a durable plastic like material, and they are light in weight. Our use was for outdoor feeding in backyard. Feeding and watering a group of fixed ferrol cats. These are best suited for indoors or outdoors where likely ther are no free loader raccoons. Raccoons can easily knock the feeder on its side. The waterer seemed to work fine. But be sure it gurgles to let air bubbles raise to top of water. When home noted once that the water stopped flowing. Once i slightly touched it, it released trapped air, and was working again.Because the raccoons turned the feeder on its side, please note that small size food can get trapped on inner lip of the bottom feeder portion of the opening where the food container/jug attaches. It was a bit hard to get the residual food out of there when cleaning container. This set of feeder and waterer were best value for this size group of feeders and waterers.

  7. Much better than a fountain. I was a bit aprehensive at first because I didn’t know how easy it would be to clean. There’s always something floating in the bowl that was either dirt or dog food at one point and those things tend to make the water yucky. Yes dogs sniff each others butts and worse which is more the reason they should have a clean source of water. I also want the best for them because they bring me happiness and love during times when I need it the most so things like having a clean water bowl seem to be the least I can do for them. The bowl itself feels good in the hand. Not too heavy, not too light. It also comes equipped with some very functional non-skid pads on the bottom to prevent the bowl from sloshing about while in use. The resevoir can hold one gallon and is made from the same material the five gallon jugs use. The cap has a spring loaded stopper that dispenses water when it’s depressed which only happens once it’s fastened to the bowl. Once it’s released it stops the water from flowing out even when upside down. The jug fits snugly and has two stubs on each side that line up with an opening on the ring so when it’s mounted, the jug slides gently into place and locks with a small twist. The channel between the bowl and where the water flows from is narrow to keep the water from pouring into the bowl and making a mess. I can carry the whole thing, with water, from the hallway to the kitchen sink, and not spill a drop. This thing is so easy to clean, it’s child’s play. The fountains on the other hand, it could take me a good thirty minutes to clean a fountain and I’d still find slimy spots. They’re way too much maintenance for what they’re designed to do and this takes me less than five. The bowl is large enough for both dogs to drink from and they drink more water now. I’ve purchased a lot of pet stuff over the years and a lot of it has been a waste of money because it was either too cheaply made or didn’t function the way it should’ve. I’m happy to say that this is not one of those purchases. In fact, I’ve replaced all my water bowls with these. Wish I would’ve known about these sooner.

  8. Perfect for 3 dogs who spend most of the day outside. Pictured – the water is on the left and the food is on the right. The middle water one is a separate brand, but pictured for pros and cons.Pros:The containers turn and lock into place on the base so even when it runs out, the dogs can’t easily unattach them and end up chewing the cap or the sides which is what happened for the one in the middle. The water is more secure than the food for the turn and lock. The water container’s cap and nozzle is a fully encircled and made of thick plastic. This is HUGE plus because the middle water one from another brand has the little nozzle piece out in the open on the top of the cap and when it ran out of water in the middle of the day a few weeks ago, the dogs knocked it over and snapped the piece off because it was very thin. The entire cap itself is pretty thin which is why the Amazon brand one is superior. Both the food and water are solid with non-sliding feet which is a plus on our smooth patio.Cons: So far, none.I’ve had them for about a week so we’ll see how they hold up. I’m not worried about the brown/black and the white/black doggies pictured, as they are older and very calm but it’s the unpictured Goldendoodle puppy who is a wild child that will tell if this stays a 5 star review!

  9. great buy. I use them for my inside cats and the outside cats that I feed. I like that they now have collars on them to hold the jugs in place. before they redesign them, I use to have to tape the jugs to the base so they wouldn’t fall off the base. it’s also nice now that the water jugs have tabs to lock them to the base. cleaning the water jugs is simple with some bleach water in the jugs give them a good shake and let them sit in the base for a while. rinse and your good to go.

Great buy. Have had this since beginning of February this year…good quality…bought 2 …1 Gallon size…have 4 cats….we were going away for a week and a family member was checking in on them along with 4 other cats and 3 dogs on first floor of our home… I am beyond pleased….they drink more with this than the metal large dog food bowls I was using…1 for each cat… and we know how important it is to get kitties to drink…I change about twice to 3 times per week for 4 cats… a little awkward…make sure outside is dry so you can insert it into bottom part having a good grip on it…very easy to do. Set it down into bottom and twist to lock…..Really recommend it…my son has a much larger 5 Gallon size for his dogs…again…they seem to prefer it over metal bowls of water.
