NOT HEAVY DUTY like most Sauder, but it was what I needed. First, here’s what I like about these cabinets:They’re super easy to assemble. Well, that is compared to some products like this that I’ve assembled. The parts were clearly labeled, and the instructions were complete and easy to understand (and in English). No boo-boos on the first one – I ordered two of them – and the second one went together even more quickly. They look nice. The molding trim on the doors gives them more of a custom look than your average white, assembled, particle board cabinet. The handles are a brushed-chrome finish and the hinges are heavy duty as well. It was well packaged. Both boxes arrived undamaged and the contents were in perfect condition. Now, their shortcomings:Every piece of Sauder Furniture I’ve ever assembled (and that’s a bunch of ‘em) has been made of ¾ inch particle board. This one is NOT, it’s much thinner! It’s more like 3/8 inch. Really. Some pieces bend when you push on them. That is both good and bad. It makes the cabinet not so heavy to handle and assemble (two people can easily lift it, or maybe one strong person). But it’s NOT HEAVY DUTY. That’s clearly stated in the description, if you read it carefully. They say the weight limit for the upper shelves in 25 lbs and the bottom shelf 50 lbs. I would not, under any circumstances, put that much weight on every shelf because I’d be afraid of sagging. Maybe half that, but then I’m careful. I knew this and I need it for storing lightweight items, so it suited my purposes. But don’t go thinking that you’re going to stock this baby with gallons of paint. Please. So, for me it worked fine. It has a strap you can screw the top to the wall with, and I recommend that you use it, because it could tip over. I will keep you updated if it fails to hold up in the long run.As a Prime member, I buy a LOT of stuff from amazon. Living out in a rural area far from a city, amazon is my go-to source for many of my purchases. I must rely heavily on your product reviews to help me decide which item is best for me — especially when I can’t actually see, touch or hold the product.I take my personal product reviews seriously, and if something proves to be a piece of junk, I’ll tell you – and if it’s great or mediocre, I’ll tell you that, too. My policy is to try to write the kind of reviews I want to read and to update my reviews if for some reason the product fails to perform as advertised during the period it’s warrantied for. I do ask that if you found this review helpful in making your decision, that you please click on the “yes” button below.
Easy to Assemble, Sturdy for the Price, Invest in a Ratcheting Screwdriver. I read the reviews before purchasing and was felt like I was pleasantly surprised once I got everything out of the box. The box itself was super well packed and even had thick cardboard attached/glued to each edge for extra support. There were no dents or holes in the packaging whatsoever. Everything is labeled for easy assembly, screws, pieces, brackets, ect. The cabinet sides and doors are a little thin, however, if you’re not kicking the thing, it won’t be a problem. There are two magnets that hold the doors shut, and honestly, they’re a little strong for the weight of the doors, so I may set them a little further back to accommodate, as they make the doors more difficult to open.I was able to assemble the entire thing by myself, but would have appreciated a second pair of hands to mount the doors. I started with the center hinge and used my foot to steady the while putting the other two hinges in place (on each door) and then tightened once they were all on. You can loosen the stopper on the back of each hinge and that helped with getting the doors to close without a huge gap at the bottom. I may adjust further, we’ll see. This cabinet does hold quite a bit, and I’m still figuring out what goes where. I mainly purchased this cabinet for pantry space as my kitchen cabinets are not deep or high enough for cereal boxes and at 5’5″ the cabinets themselves are too high for me comfortably reach anything placed in them. My kitchen does have a lot of storage space, just not as easily accessible as I’d like. This cabinet solves those issues. Now the less used items can live on those high shelves and my food can be easily grabbed without ten other things falling down.A couple of recommendations:Have patience with assembly and lay out all of your pieces beforehand. The instructions show what pieces go where, so I laid them out according to what I was working with and when. I have vinyl flooring so I used the box as a mat to assemble on (which worked surprisingly well), but I would say use the box or a carpeted area so you don’t scratch the pieces (I did knock one part into another and made a tiny and barely noticeable dent, so try not to do that either). Make sure you have plenty of space, I only had my kitchen area to put this together and would have loved to have been able to not be right up against my stove and cupboards while screwing the sides onto the top/bottom. Also, get yourself a ratcheting screwdriver, it seriously saves your hand.
Best little secret. Okay so I wasn’t sure I was going to like this cabinet but I thought what the heck it will work for a quick fix….Bot was I wrong this cabinet worked just as if it was one of my custom shaker cabinets. I have enough towel and wash cloth space as well as hand towel space. I have product space perfume space what nots (lol) and still have a little space left over. I saw this same cabinet on another shop I site and it was about 35 dollars more expensive so I would say I got a great deal. If you are thinking about this cabinet but it. There will be no regrets
Good value for what it is. The thing that I don’t like about Sauder’s storage cabinet is a tolerable issue. I hate “engineered” wood. At least this doesn’t use particle board but some other, better product. Still, it’s not real wood.On the other hand… I compared this to a somewhat similar cabinet made partially out of real wood and yeezers – it was over twice the price! So there’s a place for engineered wood if the product is well built. Is Sauder’s product well built? Yes… for what it is. It is engineered wood that’s screwed together. Not real wood with joints and glue and screws. This isn’t something your grandchildren will be using but you’ll get 20 or more years out of it unless your kids beat it up. I mean, it should be durable under normal use but kids might wreck it. Kid do stuff like swinging from the doors or climbing on the shelves. And I wouldn’t recommend moving these from house to house. I wouldn’t be optimistic that an assembled cabinet would survive a moving company. What about the assembly? Ah, my assembly was easy! I hired somebody some contractors who were working in the building to do it. They had between 1 and 3 people on the job. It took them about 4 hours to assemble and install 2 cabinets. I’ve seen reviews say the doors don’t align well. All the doors on these cabinet are perfect. These contractors do a lot of cabinet work. They’re familiar with the door hinges and approve of them. How do they look? They look GREAT. Sauder even supplies little wood grain stickers to hide the screw holes. The cabinets have a ton of space and adjustable shelves. You can even remove the shelves on one side giving you 53″ of vertical storage.I’m quite happy with these. They’re a good value, they look good and I can store a LOT of stuff in them.
Awesome pantry. Love this pantry. I got a super great deal on the first day of prime day, bought two! Wish I had bought 4-6!!! Not they’re just too pricey to justify the cost, but I do love them! I wanted to use baskets in them, but the cubbies are a little to small to warrant basket storage. Overall, very happy! My hubby assembled them so I cant speak to how easy it may or may not be to set up, but I can say they were pretty heavy to carry with his help! So make sure you have a buddy home to help lift the box safely!
Good value. I was concerned about shipping damaged based on recent reviews. But the cabinet arrived in fine shape. Putting it together required careful review of the instructions looking at the diagrams for orientation of the panels to be sure everything lined up with pre-drilled holes. These proved very accurately placed. Cabinet is good value.Footnote: Final assembly ended very well. I was impressed by the precision of the pre-drilled holes. These helped me affirm that I was putting the panels together correctly. Nice work by Sauder.
Look great, very functional, but be aware they are thin and not very sturdy. We are very happy with these. Purchased 3 of them on Prime day at a nice price and have them set up in our basement for extra storage. Pantry, food, cleaning supplies, paper products, misc. They hold quite a bit and it has given us some great storage. They look nice. These use very thin materials and are not very sturdy, but they are fine for what they are. You have to be gentle with them and they’ll be fine. I’m not sure I’d put these in a heavy use part of the house or in a kids playroom. They’d probably rip the doors right off.The shelves are sturdy though. It’s just the doors and sides that are thin.Assembly was straight forward.I’d consider getting more if they pop up again around $100. I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for a heavier duty version with thicker materials.
Easy Assembly. Decent quality. Hardware box is a little daunting when you dump it out but it goes together quick. Easy to read and understand instructions. Did it by myself in an hour or so. My only advice…. make sure you get screws lined up with the pre drilled holes before you commit. I had two go in incorrectly and they splintered the wood. luckily both spots were in hidden places. also luckily I was able to back the screws out and still get them back in with sufficient integrity. The material is definitely flimsy in spots but I believe the overall design is good and it should hold the stated weights (plus some, id guess) if assembled correctly. Its not gonna win any awards for “classiest furniture” but it’s a great choice if you’re looking for some relatively cheap, easy to put together, and suitable auxillary storage.

great piece. very heavy box. all pieces were accounted for and undamaged. I appreciate the way the pieces were labeled, stamped on the ends instead of stickers. everything went together as expected. I do not believe it would sustain a move to another house without damage as it’s not super durable in structure. it gets the job done for what i need which was extra enclosed storage in my utility room. I added wheels to the bottom and placed the included handles on the sides so that I can roll it out when needed as it’s covering the fuse panel. I used some extra handles leftover from my kitchen cabinets as the primary handles. shelves and their ability to size up and down is a plus. material is particle board so wouldn’t place in a wet/humid prone area.

Great Value. I’m very impressed with this pantry cabinet, especially for the price. Took about 2 hours to build largely by myself (with a little help from my wife to get the doors in place). The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The materials are good quality, but obviously not super strong like oak/mahogany. For the price, I’m very happy!Bonus that it came with a wall mounting kit. Also loved that the instructions had little quips like “now would be a good time to refill your drink”, etc.
Great cabinet. I have a small kitchen with not a lot of storage and these cabinets came in very useful. They were easy to put together by myself and look really nice in the kitchen. Like others have said, it’s not a heavy duty cabinet, but sturdy and great for extra storage.
Very stylish and roomy. I purchased this to put in my bedroom for linens, books, and my art supplies. Some of the reviews claimed it was not too sturdy and bad quality. I’m telling you this cabinet is plenty sturdy and can hold so much! I just love it! I put gold handles on it and everyone has asked me where I got it from! Very cute and doesn’t break the bank! I recommend this cabinet!
Good price/value ratio. Bought 3, built 3. Good value for the price, especially the sale price. Not heavy duty, but will support kitchen and other lighter duty storage applications. I would advise using L-brackets to mount the top to a wall. This made the cabinets a lot sturdier and much more effective than the included fall restraint. Otherwise, the cabinet felt a little wobbly when opening doors. Rated 5 stars for good value and instructions and parts were spot on for all 3 I bought.

Great storage, deep enough for countertop appliances…. This cabinet is nice, seems decently strong, and is attractive. The doors seem a bit flimsy but it’s not a big deal. I was able to fit my Instant Pot, Ninja Creami, Keurig, juicer, and many other items in it to clear counter space in my small kitchen (with room to spare)! I did search extensively for one deep enough for my large square air fryer. Sadly, the trim on the door and the center divider foiled my plans as it was not WIDE enough to slip in. But I moved my Kitchen Aide mixer from another storage area into this cabinet and it worked. I mention these appliances because the info would have been helpful in determining if it would work for me when I was searching hundreds of cabinet descriptions. It took me maybe 2-3 hours to put together alone, with breaks because my back was killing me! That being said, I was able to do it alone even with that physical limitation. The package was very heavy but the unit, once put together, was easy to relocate simply by dragging it on a towel across my hardwood floors. I would consider purchasing another if I needed it or if I had the space but the price also just jumped substantially after purchase ($50).

Nice cabinet. This is a nice, inexpensive cabinet. It looks nice, goes together pretty easy, doesn’t take up a lot of space. This is the second one we bought. We needed a little more storage and we were happy to find this still available. The first cabinet is two years old and has held up well – especially considering that it’s mostly used by my now 8 and 10 yo grandkids! Their board games and snack are stored here so it gets lots of use!
