Works excellent. My very floppy eared beagle flipped over her ear and to my horror it was torn up; red, swollen & very irritated. She obviously had an infection and had been scratching at it. I felt terrible I didn’t notice it sooner. I bought the zymox otic because it’s a cleaner and treatment all in one and has hydrocortisone which I knew she needed badly to bring down the swelling from scratching at it. The medicine is a clear watery gel, something I wasn’t expecting. I thought it would just be liquid. The gel works great though because it suspends in place so you can really get to every little fold and crevice inside the dogs ear. I started with the outside of the ear cleaning as I went with cotton balls. Once I had all the little pieces of scab cleaned up I went for the ear canal. It says to fill the ear canal with medicine and then wipe away. I filled it and then massaged the ear to make sure it went deep enough. I then tilted the dogs head the other direction and let it drain out and wipe wipe wipe. The next morning was a big difference!! It was looking a lot better. I was still nervous though what if it didn’t work. When we woke up the 3rd morning I checked her ear and it looked so good I had to do a double take to make sure I had the right ear. I can’t recommend this medicine enough. We are continuing treat. It says 7-14 days but looking at these results I think a week will be plenty. I just wanted to leave this review to help other dog and cat parents. This medicine treats fungal and bacterial infections using 3 types of enzymes so you are good to go using this either way. I highly recommend! Worth every penny!Update* after reading some of the 1 star reviews I just wanted to add that it is always best to have your animal evaluated by a veterinarian. Some animals may need an antibiotics to treat an ear infection and this treatment may not be enough. Also if you see that your animal is suffering from any adverse reactions it is best to stop the medicine and have them evaluated medically immediately. Just like with humans, some medicines can have side effects that can be severe. Not all medicines work for everybody or everything 100% of the time. People and animals alike can be allergic to certain ingredients. It is best to closely monitor your animal whenever they are taking a new medication whether prescribed by a vet or bought over the counter and even when it’s something as simple as a topical medication. This medication worked great for my pet but I do check my dogs ears weekly because she’s a floppy eared breed. More than likely I caught the infection very early when she was symptomatic for only a couple of days. This may have contributed to how successful the results were for my dog. On day 4 now and all symptoms are gone, however I will continue to monitor the ear for up to 4 weeks to make sure the infection doesn’t reoccur. I’m very sorry to the pet owners who had adverse reactions to this medicine and that you didn’t share the same experience myself and many others had with this efficacy of how well this product worked. Your reviews are the reason that I felt it necessary to remind people that medical intervention first is always best.

fantastic product. I have mini poodles; they are famous for longer-than-average ear canals; then add the floppy ears. Yes, a problem. This product is part of a weekly 2-part regimen for my dogs.I wrestled with infections for many years with one of my dogs; vet “flushed,” etc., etc. Always had a good variety of flora going on in one ear, especially. Finally, I found the “wash” product below. Now I put a couple of drops (a gentle squirt) in each ear (bad one first) and “massage” the ear to work it down into the inner ear. Wait a minute or so. Then I gently swab out the “good” ear first, using Q-Tips. I go down only to just outside the “shadow” zone, wiping gently over the flesh at the same time “twirling” the Q-Tip so a clean surface is always presented. Then I do the bad ear; the cleanser has had more time to “sit” and “dissolve” the build-up. Usually a lot of brown sticky stuff. It’s easy to see when you look. (Good light is very helpful here!)https://www.amazon.com/Virbac-003108-Epi-Otic-Advanced-Cleaner/dp/B074P6C27C/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=33FAW58HP2VTN&keywords=dog+otic+solution&qid=1689907697&sprefix=dog+oticaps140&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1Now I follow up with 2 drops in each ear of this ear-drop product. It’s viscous; sort of like a thick baby oil. Let it “drain” down into the ear and then “massage” to get the product down into the ear canal. (I do not apply these drops daily.)This is the 2-part regimen for every Saturday morning. In the 3 years I’ve been doing this, my dog has not had an infection at all. (The other one has never had an ear problem. His Q-Tips are always clean.)Amazing products! Recommend them both. mb
Defective tip. I know this product works wonders. I have purchased for my dog a few times already . I received on 8/15. The applicator tip was either defective or not properly screwed in. When I opened the bottle everything appeared fine. One the first application of the product as soon as I squeezed the bottle to release the product the tip came off in my dogs ear and the product completely filled my dogs ear, the side of his face and the carpet. I was left with 1/4 of the bottle .Not sure how to contact the seller. I am not given that option on the app.
Very Good Product. I had previously been given this item by my veterinarian. It works well to clean my Frenchie’s ears and with the hydrocortisone, there is also relief from the itching he experienced from time to time.It has a slightly off putting scent to it and it is made from an oily base in order to stay in the ear, so if you get it on your fingers while applying, you will need to wash your hands after using. The price is high for the amount of product you receive but since only a small amount is used sporadically, it will last a long time. The price is similar across other vendors as well as through the vet directly.I would buy again.
Helps clean dirty dog ears. Our dog had nasty black stuff in his ears, probably a yeast infection based in internet research. Before researching, we tried regular ear cleaner and there was not enough removal of the gunk so we read up more, found and tried this product. It’s wet, runny and a little messy, but not as nearly as gross and messy as the stuff in the ears. You need to follow the week long program for the maximum effects. Take your dog outside to shake their heads or you’ll regret it. If you plan on taking your dog to a groomer or vet to help with the problem, it it is my non professional opinion to give this a try lessen the problem before you scare your groomer away forever or get a ridiculous vet bill with a more expensive (similar) version of this product.
100% worth the money. I have a beagle that for all his life has constant ear infections. We keep up with his daily ear cleanings but it really does not matter. We would always take him to the vet to get a prescription that would always help, however, they would only give me a one week worth of dosage. In order to get more I would have to see the vet again, pay the vet bill and get the medicine. This product worked so well that I have no need to go to the vet anymore for his ear. My dogs ear was so bad that I was skeptical that anything I could buy that wasnt prescribed would be a waste of money. I can attest that this ear cleaner is 100% legit. After about ten days my dogs ear went from extremely red with blisters, to back to normal. This cleaner is extremely think, which is a good thing, and worked wonder for my dog zeus. If you have a dog like mine Id recommend this to you. I will be purchasing the 8oz bottle and making this apart of my daily routine.
Holy guacamole it actually works. My 11 year old, 20-lb dog who’s never gotten an ear infection came down with a very bad case recently. At first I didn’t think anything of it when my mom mentioned her ear smelling bad and her shaking/scratching at her head because she’s done that before plenty of times. I finally checked her ear by chance while I was putting the leash on her for a walk and noticed dark brown ear wax (a lot), along with a stinky cheese smell. After some Internet sleuthing I found out that it was most likely an yeast infection and searched for any over the counter antibiotic ear drops that I could get for dogs. I came upon Zymox, read over the ingredients, did some additional sleuthing through the comments through different platforms like Chewy, and thought I’d give it a chance before I carted her off to the vet (who she is traumatized by for her yearly check-ups as is). I followed the directions squeezing the drops several times along different parts of her ear canal and massaging the base of her ear to help it slide down. The drops are viscous and it will definitely get on the fur around the ear and other places, since she kept trying to shake her head every time I tried squeezing in the drops. However, I just wiped off the excess on the outside of her ear and left her to shake her head as much as she wanted to after I made sure her ear canals were thoroughly saturated with the drops. When I checked back the next day, I noticed less/lack of brown ear wax, less cheesy odor, and she was shaking her head less too. I’m currently on Day 3 and the ear canals aren’t red and things are definitely continuing to improve. I will continue with this regimen for the full recommended 7 days and update if anything bad happens. Otherwise, very happy with the product’s outcome.
It works. I have cats. 3 cats. Technically 2 cats and 1 demon Bengal. Anyways, the demon and the long hair have ALWAYS had what I thought were ear mites. Took them all to the Vet, and I was told “Oh you just have cats that have dirty ears from excess wax production.” Sigh.It wasn’t ear mites, I treated them and it didn’t go away. The black gunk came back worse, and I felt horrible since they would scratch their ears so bad they were constantly red and would sometimes bleed.I like to Sherlock Holmes research everything, so I read so many reviews, looked at too many pictures of nasty dogs and cat ears, and decided to give this a try. The instructions say to NOT clean the ears beforehand (YAY! cause ewwww) and to apply the drops every day for 7 days. Now the hard part. Have you ever tried to put ANYTHING liquid inside of a demon cat’s ears? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE without getting scratched, bit, hissed at or the demon cat screaming like a human baby being tortured! I’m surprised the authorities didn’t show up it was that loud. What I tried to do was use a REALLY thick towel and wrap her in it, ha! yeah right. Then I tried an even thicker, larger comforter…nope lol. What did work was a thing called a cat restraint bag (with a muzzle) for grooming, which I found here on Amazon. (the one with Downtown in the name). I felt bad putting her through the “torture” but after the 3rd day, she wasn’t scratching her ears as much, and it was worth all the trouble of the entire PROCESS.If you have a dog, I’m sure you stopped reading a long time ago so never mind. (jk it’s probably way easier for you to put drops in your dog’s ears since they are nice and sweet and listen like good boys and girls) But if you have a cat that you know is not going to like it, and is going to want to murder you if you try, get the restraint and don’t feel bad. This stuff works. They both needed a second 7-day treatment after a week wait period and whatever it was… yeast, bacteria WHATEVER it is now completely gone in both of their ears.So buy this stuff, and thanks for listening to my story. I hope I made you laugh. 🙂
Helped my dogs ears in just 2 days. So I never writes reviews but for this one I will ! Just because my dog has been having issues with her ears for almost 5 years. I know it’s sad but I was young when I got her and didn’t know how to take care of her. But I’m older now and take way better care of her. But before her ears were super itchy and dirty and she would itch them till they bleed and she would cry. I’d always have to tell her to stop itching I felt so bad for her. So I finally looked into it and thought I could fix this my self instead of taking her to the vet and spending hundreds. I used this twice and she has completely stopped itching and her ears look so clean ! I’m so happy for her. It wasn’t irritating or harsh on her skin no burning or anything it was gentle on her. I put a few drops in, let her shake her head a little and then waited like 10-20 minutes and then cleaned the gunck out with these aloe Vera wipes I got for her on here as well. And her ears are so clean. She already looks so much happier. If your doggy has bad ears get this they will thank you for sure. !!
This stuff is hard to find, expensive and worth the time and money to have some on hand. Better than most prescribed ear treatments because it settles the sore ears right down and doesn’t sting or irritate the dog. Hate being without it.
The ONLY ear drops my dog will take willingly. My siberian husky has an issue with excessive ear wax. I have tried other ear cleaners, and as soon as I get the bottle, he hides and I have to drag him out. He is very strong and puts up a big fight. He can whip his entire body and throw me off, which gets the solution everywhere, including in his eyes. It became such a problem that I couldn’t keep his ears clean and they got infected. I bought and went through 8 different brands off amazon and they were all the same. It wasn’t until I got this one that things finally changed for the better. After I was able to get these drops in for the first time, he is now able to recognize the bottle or it’s scent. When he sees me get it, he comes to me, lays down, and lets me drop it right in his ear without any fight or flinch. I don’t even have to try to pin him down or hold him. He knows it is going to help him feel better so he takes it willingly. If he sees me just move one of the other ear cleaner solution bottles, he will still take off and hide. I think most other solutions must give him a stinging sensation where this one is more of a soothing sensation. It is expensive, but worth it! I will become a regular customer now!
Absolutely amazing. My Rottie gets yeasty ears about once every other month(so they would smell a little bit, but no redness and/or inflammation). I tried to clean her ears with a handful type/brand of ear cleansers and in a matter of 24 h – 36h we would end up in the vet’s office with an active nasty infection(vet didn’t believe me until I documented it with pictures with the date and hour). Her ears would turn bright red, all kind of sores-chemical burn, scratches and A LOT of discharge. Throughout the time we tried to not clean her ears with any type of solution (just wipe them), but in a week or two she would still get an ear infection (minus chemical burn). Now treating her ear infection is another story, because surprise surprise, she would get a reaction from the meds as well(tried 6 kind of different medication). The only one that has worked is Animax Ointment but it had never fully treated her yeasty ears. What I mean by that is: she would get it prescribed for 14 days, right at the 14th day mark, we would go in for an ear swab and yeast would still be present. Other 2 weeks of treatment, same story. It got to the point, where she would not let anyone touch her ears, other than myself, and we would have to sedate her before going in. 3 weeks ago, one of her ears started smelling again and I was already preparing myself for the worst by researching any other dog owner with the same issue and of course I stumbled upon someone with pretty much same story as pain that was highly praising Zymox Otic. The second I pressed “place my order” I started regretting it, because I didn’t want to cause her extra suffering with the sores and what not. I kept going on and on in my head, but I ended up thinking “sadly, there’s only one way to find out and what if”. So we started treating it…and 2 weeks later: IT WORKS!!!! Her ears are clean, free of any smell or discomfort. I am not one to say to not take your fur babies to the vet, because I always take them in for any little thing, but if you are as desperate as I was, definitely try it or if there’s not a crazy bad infection, just stinky ears, try it. I highly recommend. Saved my girl some trauma!

Good product. This is a good product. Does just what it says it will do
This works wonders. My dog gets ear infections quite often from being in the water so much. I was really happy when the results happens so fast. I was scared it was going to smell terrible but it didn’t and didn’t have any color dyes either. It was easy to use and cleaned her ears just great. The size of the bottle is perfect for at least 4-5 different ear infections( it takes 7 days of use to work)
Works wonders. This absolutely worked! My dog had an ear infection and is very hesitant about going to the vet so I thought I would give this a try first. Her ear has completely cleared up. It is so simple to use especially since you don’t have to clean the ear! I will definitely be using this in the future and recommend it for anyone else who has a dog that does not do well at vets. Of course I recommend going to the vet too but this is worth a try in my opinion!
Great product, very effective. My dog is very active, all year round. She had a couple signs of ear infection (excess amounts of wax, dryness, redness/swelling) and I bought this to try and soothe it at home before booking a vet appointment. It was a life saver! It didn’t smell at all and was very easy to use and apply to my dogs ears. After 4 days of the treatment, all of her signs of infection were almost gone and on the 7th day, it was cleared up completely! It was a very speedy process and the size of the bottle is perfect to keep in your medicine without taking up too much space. It has left my dog in a rich happier, calmer state than a week ago when she was in much discomfort. Definitely recommend to other pet owners and a must have in your emergency pet kit! A plus that is safe for BOTH dogs AND cats. 🐶 🐱
This Zymox Otic Enzymatic Solution is simply amazing. My little baby, Alysha, was having such a hard time with her ears. Nothing the vets gave her worked for one reason or another and she was suffering so much with shaking off her put head, to scratching, and she even developed a smell in her ears that smelt like death.I bought this after recommendation from TV and the ones here on Amazon, though it was truly like I was desperate to find her help.I want cha to know even after just the first use (I filled her ear canal and rubbed it around for rightly 2 minutes then allowed her to shake her head followed by wiping out the excess) I could see she felt a bit better. She wasn’t shaking quite as much and her digging stopped almost completely. She could finally get some peaceful rest after 4 days of continually use.Today, the smell is gone and she’s bouncing around again instead of digging all the time.Thank you so very much for this “miracle cure “ which is what I call it because all of the other attempts she was either allergic to or simply didn’t resolve her issue. Because of your diligence in creating this, not only are her ears clean, odor free, and over all comfort is better, but it was given to her in a very safe and simple way (no surgery or hospitalization), the swelling that was excessive in her ears is not back to normal size, and it’s lasting (meaning it hasn’t came back which is did with the plethora of other treatments the other drs gave her).I very very VERY highly recommend this Zymox Otic Enzymatic Solutionto anyone that has a four legged baby suffering with ear issues of any kind. Especially when you’ve tried all the treatments the vets offer with no durable results. The bottle is a large enough size that it’ll last and last when used correctly.
Good for dogs ears. Very decent product at a fair price. I have an older dog and he has not been digging at his ear like he was. I work recommend to my family and friends.
Good product. Worked well on Sir Bentley’s ears. Pleased with the results.
It WORKS. If your dog has itchy ears and foul odor, you need this stuff!! Stopped our dog’s ear itching and no more odor in just 4 days of treatment!! It has been great to see her so much happier and feeling better. It was cost efficient and very effective! Will definitely use again when the need arises.Highly recommend.
Value. This product works great, no smell, very easy to use, and very effective
Amazing! Saves money. Let me just start by saying, I rarely write reviews, but hope this helps someone buy it! I wasn’t sure at first if this would even work. This product is amazing. Well worth the money. My kitty did not quite enjoy the ear drops, but they helped get him back to normal almost immediately. They’re fast acting, and helped solve the problem super fast. He was experiencing some mild wobbliness, had black gunk in his ear, and was shaking his head and scratching a lot which was very concerning to me, so I brought this product since I figured he probably had an ear infection. I wasn’t sure if it would work and was ready to take him to the vet, but within minutes his behavior changed. He wasn’t as wobbly or scratchy and within just a few days, his ears cleared up!! I highly recommend this product as I even have more left over! Best Buy of the year! I would spend as much as needed to save my baby, but this was such a cheap fix :). If your cat is feeling like this definitely try this product! My angel is back to normal now thanks to this 🙂
Relief. I wish I had taken a photo of my poor dog’s ear before using this product. Definitely effective and cleared after a week. Even my dog knew towards the end of the week that it was making him better because he stopped resisting and willingly accepted treatment.
