Skye is awesome but she doesn’t swim. Paw Patrol Loving child was obsessed with this. Had played with it at someone’s house but not in the water. I read reviews and people complained that it doesn’t swim. That is true. The weight of it doesn’t allow it to balance in the water. If that’s a problem, you don’t want to buy it. But if you’re just looking for something paw patrol awesome it’s great. In and out of the water it’s tossed around and it remain in tact.
Kids love it. Kids love it. Doesn’t move too fast in the water, but for less than $10, it works just fine.
It does swim! And my 5 year old is obsessed. I knew my little girl would LOVE this for her birthday, but I noticed all the reviews that said the toy was too top heavy to swim, so I became hesitant. I decided to show my daughter a few options and this is still the toy she wanted most for her birthday present (even after I explained it couldn’t swim). So I bought it and when she opened it on her birthday, to our delight, discovered that it totally swims fine! The body is submerged while the head bobs above water as it “swims” around for about 10 seconds after each wind up. This toy is a must have for my 5 year old now whenever she takes a bath or goes to the pool 🙂

Short swim time. My granddaughter (4) was thrilled to get this mer-pup because Skye is her favorite character. It might perform slightly better in a wading pool than the bathtub. Tiny windup knob is challenging for small fingers and it doesn’t swim long on each windup. Wish it had a pull string instead of winding up.
Unimpressed. It’s Skye from paw patrol as a merpup so you have to love it but it doesn’t do much. Pretty unimpressive.

Product was not intact. Came in separated out of the package. This is a gift so I will need to somehow tape it back together so it looks like it came intact in the box.

Very cute but. So cute and nice size but doesn’t work in water very well. She floats but when wind up only lasts few seconds. Kept anyway

Perfection. This pool toy was such a hit. Used at two different hotel pools and both times I had to really keep my eye on it because so many kids loved it. Of course we shared and the material was very durable with multiple kids playing with it in different ways. Big kids taking it under and watching it float up to kids sitting in the shallows. Great size, bigger than my toddlers hand but still able to reach around the back to play with. Such great coloring, still looks good.

Woe merpup upon ye. I was sceptical at first, but after I placed this bad boy in the water, I was nearly convinced that it had achieved sentience with how life like the swimming motion was. I also was filled with primal fear as the DNA of my ancestors sent a surge of violent warning through my brain stem in the form of fight or flight. Witnessing the dog mermaid hybrid creature swim the ocean waters once more brought an instinctual need to hunt once more. It was as though all previous generations that resulted my birth were screaming inside of me to finish what they started, and end the merpup bloodline. Alas, it was only a toy and I was able to rest easy once I returned from my temporal flashback.Works as described and worth the money.
