Impressed enough to come back to review 3 months later. I bought it because it was cheap. The price of the ‘name brand’ is just insane. I’ve had it for a few months and it does a great job.At first, I thought the side handle was dumb, but it’s growing on me.The thing I love is that the lid almost falls off when the retaining ring is removed. Unlike every leaf can I’ve had before, the gasket is beveled so that the pressure of the ring makes the seal. All the others relied on an O-ring on the lid which had to be pushed an inch into the main body. Ridiculous amount of effort (even with silicone goop) to remove after a couple of years.Looking at other reviewer pix, it looks like this has been improved over the years. Look at current reviews. I’ve attached the image of mine so you can see if it is the same.
Make sure you put it on the right way…lol. Used it on our automatic pool vacuum and it trapped the leaves and dirt from clogging up the pipes. It even trapped the dirt and twigs when I used it (backwards) with the manual vacuum.
Good leaf collector. It slightly reduces suction but eliminates need to clean out pool pump as often.
Why did I wait so long. Works as intended and solved my 1 headache, which was a leaf or 2 interfering with the filter reducing suction. I wanted this for 2 years, just never pulled trigger.
Works great. This is a much less expensive option of pool leaf canister. It appears to be well made and works great. Easy to install.

The essential pool saver you didn’t know you needed. So until some leaves managed to get stuck in just the right place in my pool’s return line, I had no idea you needed a basket on the suction line.. I will never make that mistake again! This canister fits inline and is quite easy to both use and empty. It doesn’t impair the function of your pool vacuum and catches a lot of the detritus that would normally end up in the pool pump basket. This was a great purchase and it’s given us peace of mind that we won’t accidentally clog the line again. This is much easier than having to dig out pool lines!!!!

Attachment. Works great, traps leaves keeping them from going into the main filter. Easy to empty. The attachment had to be modified by tape to stay connected.
Little hack with two spa filters. Works great as is. It keeps the leaves and small sticks from clogging the return line to the filter bc of two 90 degree bends. Im impressed. Then I took two small spa filters and taped them together, taped a small plastic disk cut from the bottom of a bleach jug to one end and put it in the basket and just put it back together. So the open end goes to the suction side and the water from the pool cleaner attachment thats sucking the finer stuff from the bottom the pool after the leaves etc are gone gets pre filtered before it gets to my Big Hayward cartridge filters. This way I won’t have to pull them and rinse as ofter. I imagine if you have a sand or DE filter it will save a ton of back washing. Priceless lol. Its not perfect but its pretty good!

Pool Sweeper Leaf Basket. It is smaller than my old unit that costs twice as much but I prefer the wiper seal it has vs.the O-ring of my old unit. The O-ring expanded in time and leaked air and the cannister lid would not fit unless O-ring was replaced. This design will hopefully work better.
works great – sturdy. We had a clog in a line so we bought this to prevent another clog. This works well. Easy to dissemble to clean out. I’ve had this over a year and it’s still holding up well.

Very good product. This canister is a huge time saver. It saved me probably more than one hour of keep going at the underground pump room, shut off 10hp pump, open up the pump basket, clean it up and so on.The following is a constructive review not a complaint. It could use a check valve though as when you take it out to clean it dirt goes back in the hose which will end up back in the pool and it’s not easy to take it out without doing that
