  1. Don’t waste your money on this bird feeder. TheFeeders were cheap junk the only thing holding them together was a glue first time you bounce one off the ground they would fall apart had to totally rebuild all three of them which cost me about $15 worth of parts. Could not stabilize the cables I’d walk out in the morning and they will be leaning one way or the other so I replace the cables with chain and hooks and noe O-ring on top to hang the birdfeeder I had to put screws in all fours for sides of it and I had to glue the screen on the bottom back on. They not worth anything

  4. Light. Worked well for a few weeks then one side separated.I bought mine for the weight savings since I have a raised feeder system.Cons: The issue is a shallow feeder tray and weak construction.Pros: LIght platform feeder with good drainage.Overall: if you don’t have squirrels jumping into your feeder this is a good platform feeder.

  5. Birds Love It. Love this feeder, all my birds use it, woodpeckers, bluejays, cardinals, finches. I break up suet cakes into small squares & started rehydrating mealworms & add to tray. Birds love it. Only problem is I have raccoons. If I forget to bring the feeder in at night the baby raccoons will crawl in it or the adults will shake the branch until it falls. Raccoons will also get my suet cages & carry them off then I lose a whole cake & have to go looking for my cages. This feeder can’t get rid of my raccoons but it helps minimize waste. Raccoons broke the plastic cables when I forgot to bring in. Wasn’t a huge deal as there are holes drilled in the sides so I used florist wire to make new cables. I am ordering 2 more feeders for the winter when raccoons are gone & birds really come to life. So much easier to fill & keep clean than a traditional feeder. No more chipping the frozen bird seed away from the holes to get seed to come out in the winter. Simply dump it out or give it a knock against the tree & fill. Took off a star for not having metal chain for hangers.

  6. Wires should be more secure. Pull out too easily. The larger birds love this platform feeder. Cardinals, Jay’s, cow birds, cat birds. Unfortunately so do the squirrels. The wires holding up the feeder are not very secure…just cheaply stapled to the wood. Came home today and one of them let go and dumped the food on the ground. Should be secured better.

  7. Poor design, wire is a nightmare. I have worked with these bird feeders for over a year. Everyday I have had to adjust the wires to even then out. In the colder months they have been even more difficult to try and move within the pinched clip to hold the wires together. A couple of the wires also split, so movement couldn’t happen. The screen was not glued to the wood so it started to droop. One of the stapled wood frame pieces came off.The paint quickly became distressed.Solution: use gorilla glue to firm the placement of the wood pieces together and also the screen to the frame. Paint the entire wood and screen with Rustoleum. Use an eye hook with nut to replace the corn holder. Remove the wires. Now we’re talking! This works great and should last for years!

  9. Great feeder for 6 months. This was the best feeder for squirrels, but after six month the staples that hold the screen loosened and the screen buckled. After 8 months the screen fell out, the feeder fell sideways, swung off the hook an broke the wood frame. I tried to repair it but the wood had split. I used alot of Duck tape to get it working but it didnot last. The screen fell out again. The design is excellent BUT not durable. I am ordering a second feeder because I plan to reinforce the staples using silcone chaulk along the bottom and joints, and clear coat the wood and add some corner brackets. The design is great but I wish the tray was aluminum and the screen attachment was reinforced.

  10. Mess tray drains bird seed. Our birds didn’t seem to like the feeder swinging, nor did they want the fruit we put on the center peg. We removed the peg, used the hole to screw the feeder on the deck rail and it is working well.

Such a simple bird feeder. If I were craftier, I could make this bird feeder myself. But I’m not. It’s a very simple design, and what I’ve loved about it is how much the birds seem to like it. House sparrows, finches, cardinals, blue jays, morning doves–they all frequent the feeder, and because of the size, more than six birds can feed from it at the same time. Easy to clean. Squirrels have not been an issue since we have a squirrel baffle on the pole where we hang the feeder. Highly recommended for the price.

Best Bird Bar in Town❣️. This reasonably price bird tray feeder has been hanging outside my Central Jersey window since 9/22, inviting all the birds to stop by. I even have a Mourning Dove who just rests on it, watching the world go by. It has withstood harsh rains, windy days & nights, a Starling Party (of about 12!) and aggressive squirrels leaping, jumping, & knocking it to the ground! It gets re-hung & refilled & carries on! One of my best purchases! Thank you❣️

  13. Purchased in 2020, barely hanging on in 2022. Unlike the Woodlink Going Green Platform Bird Feeder Model GGPLAT which has stood up to the test of time, this Solutions4Patio feeder is falling apart after just a year and a half of service. The wood is splitting, and I have had to replace the wire at the bottom of the feeder because the original was so thin it broke in several places. I will be replacing it with the Woodlink model for sure.

  14. Arrived broken. This feeder seems nice but it came out of the bubble wrap broken. And the broken piece was nowhere in the bubble wrap or the box, so it seems they put a broken feeder into the box to start with. So annoying.

  15. Bottom section came apart from frame. Not sturdy enough for larger birds

  16. Feeder used by hundreds of birds – well built. I work from home and my office looks out at this feeder. I have used a lot of feeders over the years, but I have wood peckers and jays that can have issues landing on the other types of feeders, so I got this to make it easier for them. As expected – this worked brilliantly. You need jays to keep crows and other pest birds away – jays love peanuts. This feeder is awesome because I can do hand fills of shelled nuts, and normal food for the song birds. I have it on a shepherd hook with a squirrel baffle. All day long the birds share it… not uncommon at all to see a woodpecker on the side, and a jay and cardinal in it eating at the same time. They definitely prefer this one over the other style.

Doing good. I bought it because, for the price, it’s a good large size. I would have preferred a metal one but those are expensive. It’s held up well enough through the winter. Something like this is the best solution for large nuts or seeds.

  22. Green and now Blue. It was beautiful and easy to install, however, it was green and now it is blue. Weird

  23. Beautiful, Sturdy, & Birds love it. This is a large bird or squirrel feeder. The larger birds feed easily from it, without having to hang upside down to eat. A small squirrel also likes it. I put black oil sunflower seeds and shelled peanuts in it. I added sweet suet cake also and it holds up well. It is beautiful and the bigger birds really like it. Sturdy, and has made it through several storms. A very good purchase.

  24. Buy it!! Best style bird feeder. This bird feeder,or others designed like this one are great!! Very little mess and room for many birds at one time. I purchased bags of mixed food and the birds toss alot of it out..I purchased sunflower seed without the shell from Amazon and the birds love it! I also snack on it to… And no waste

  25. Mother’s Day gift. I bought this for my mom and she absolutely loved it! Good Mother’s Day gift. It is very easy to clean and the perfect size.
