  1. Does the job with some modification for larger dog. Bought this for my 65lb AmStaff. He is super paw-sensitive and bites when you attempt to mess with his feet. Local groomers would not muzzle or sling him, which made me uncomfortable asbi know his demeanor is not aggressive…..except when you touch his paws…lbvs.I was unsure of it initially, as it did seem thin. However, after wrestling him into the sling, I opted for some ratchet straps on the fasttrack vs the sketchy little straps and clips that come with the package. After hoisting him up, and the initial wriggling, he was able to calm down enough to get the job done without biting or even attempting to snip, which was fantastic. So, overall, product got the job done much safer and faster than without. I also purchased a nail grinder which proved to be very helpful in the quality of the rush job to limit any trauma he would potentially experience. All that being said, my dog still likes me and I am not tending to any new claw marks, so yay!

  2. Works as expected. Works as expected and seems reasonably sturdy. It came with fewer clips than I expected, and with no directions, had to figure out the best way to attach them with the straps. Not terribly difficult, just not what I expected. Otherwise it seems to work well and holds my dog as expected. It’s making trimming her nails much easier. Should have gotten this a long time ago.

  3. Doesn’t really work. It does make the job a little easier but my dog was able to escape and he could still bite me to prevent from trimming his nails

  4. For the win. 105lb German Shepherd that does NOT like his nails trimmed… vet wants an arm and a leg to do it and no groomer will entertain the idea.I put him in this and used the loader on the tractor to lift him up. Trimmed his nails without an issue thanks to this. 4 stars because i feel if he thrashed around enough he may be able to still slip out of it.

  5. This thing is great. Need to buy anchors or hooks to attach to the clips to. Nail trims are so much easier! My sweet little fat pug absolutely hates nail trims. He’s about 30 pounds and because of his shape is near impossible to hold for nails prior to this harness. Usually we can get 3-4 nails before we give up. It was a little difficult figuring out how to get him in the harness – did we put him in and then lift the harness onto the hooks or hook the harnes up and then place him inside. The second one was near impossible even with a few of us holding him. We managed to get him in the harness and then one of us held him while the other hooked the harness into the hooks.I still made sure we held onto him and lifted some of his weight off the harness (this was mainly because I was scared of “what ifs”) while clipping his nails. The clippers that come with it are really great. You will need to buy the clips/anchors to go into your ceiling or door frame to hook the harness hooks into. I didn’t think of that when I bought it. Definitely worth the money. Now I can nail trims on my own without paying $30 for the vet or groomer to do it

  6. Nail Clipper Fear-No Problem. I tried every type device and technique but one of my dogs would not tolerate her nails being trimmed until I got this suspending hammock. I had to buy my own hooks, and used a counter height chair under a closet rod to put it on the dog and hook to the closet rod, then slowly removed the chair. I was able to then safely clip all front nails on the first try! The dog was busy trying to figure out why she was flying and didn’t put up a fuss for a few minutes, then a back foot found the wall and she was able to get some traction and protest so the session ended. I will have to find a place to suspend her completely away from any walls to be successful with all four paws next time. Gave only 4 stars because it came without hooks or suggestions where to hang. My dog was well supported, safe from injury, and thoroughly distracted. Excellent tool for the clip-fearful dog!

  7. Too short. Seems well made but too short for my standard goldendoodle. It fits our English bulldog well, so we will keep it. If you have a long bodied dog, you may need to size up.

holy grail for dogs that hate having their feet touched/nails trimmed. I’ve tried everything to get my 98 lb pit to let me touch his feet, and 7 years later I still have no luck. THIS is the only thing that has ever worked! we put it on him like a harness, threaded our olympic weight bar through the loops, and lifted it onto our weight rack. done in 5 minutes. sturdy, safe, and easy to use.

Great for clipping nails. This is terrific! We have French bulldogs that hate their nails getting done. We put this on our squat rack and hoist them up while the other cuts nails. Works great and easy to use!

  10. Worked great. I was able to put my fussy, bite-y cat into the hammock and hand it on a towel hook (one that is anchored to a stud). She seemed a little confused, but allowed me to trim her front nails without complaint. She still let me know she wasn’t happy about her back packs, but I got all the sharp nails trimmed and she got some churu treat and all was well!! So happy I got this!
