Quality kit – accurate results – reasonable price. This is an excellent kit. Titration type testing is definitely more accurate than strips, cheaper and I believe more trustworthy than photometer type testing. Taylor does it right and they have been in the business a long time. The “Watergram” water balance calculator (included) is a great little tool for helping decide where to make adjustments toward sustainable balanced water. Also included was a little (waterproof) book “Pool and Spa Water Chemistry”. It is an EXCELLENT publication! Full of good, time tested information and well worth taking the time to read. We have a new spa and our well water is a little bit of a bother to get balanced but I needed to get it right, We have a lot of money invested so I want to take care of our spa and above all we want sanitary water. Titration testing (drops) is no big deal – that is if you can count :). It literally takes minutes and I have the most confidence I can get at home with this type of testing and a quality product. I have noticed that most quality spa/pool supply stores also have Taylor reagents on the shelf which speaks for itself. I did make and addition to my kit by cutting a good quality plastic drinking straw in half and I stir vs. swirl when adding drops. Speeds up the process and gives a good and thorough mixing. I rinse every component well after testing. The kit is quality – slots for all components – and a great storage box. A good investment for your pool or spa.
Where do I start! GREAT GOOD WONDERFUL BEST. Was having a horribly frustrating problem with my pool chemistry – it hadn’t any that made any sense. I bought this kit – STILL couldn’t get it to make sense. Then I emailed Taylor.It was like emailing a good friend for expert advice. Fast response, great tips!Now, for the kit itself. I’ve read a lot of the other reviews. I’ll ignore the guy who gave it one star because although he got the kit he ordered he decided later he should’ve ordered a different kit. I mean, if you ordered a blue shirt but decided you looked better in red, would you blame the shirt?!?Now, for the rest – this is a GREAT kit. It is detailed and accurate. It is NOT “magic”. It will not say “if your pool registers x just add y”. It WILL tell you how much chlorine you’ve got and what your pH is and total alkalinity and so on, just as it says it does.The little booklet is worth the price all by itself, if you’ve the patience to read it. It is NOT complicated, but neither is it “see Spot run”. You’ll need to be able to think in order to use it. But once you read it, you’ll be able to keep your pool clean and blue and sanitized and perfect – or as close to perfect as they get!As for the actual testing – there is a color-coded chart at the top. All you need to do is follow each step as it is written. The colours are easy to see and to distinguish and you’ll know just what’s in your pool and the book will tell you just what your pool needs and if that isn’t enough, an email to Taylor will get you great, friendly, immediate, HELPFUL advice!You can’t go wrong with Taylor! I am now a customer for the life of my pool!

Love this pool kit. Found myself making daily trips to the pool store, which I can’t stand walking into.Buying hundreds of $$ of chemicals. Which seemed like a never-ending battle. So, after a month of this, I purchased this pool kit.I love it. I am eager to test my pool every morning as I honed in on water balancing. I even compared my results to those when I visited the pool stores–just to compare results. And they were identical. That really made me feel good.And I am happy to say that as of two days ago, I have beautiful, crystal-clear pool water that is perfectly balanced. This kit is a real time-saver.

We’re almost done with our pool season for the year, so this is not at all helpful. Can you please replace the R-0002 bottle with one good into 2025?

Easy Peasy. I had had it with pool companies that couldn’t help me get the chemicals right for my pool. After reading the reviews on this product, I decided to take the plunge. I’m SO Glad I did. I read the book first, then moved forward with following the directions on the card to check my chemicals. I bought one of those magnetic mixers and beaker to make it a little bit easier to mix when you have to add numerous drops and swirl. This makes it easier. Even though I’ve only had the test kit a few days, I feel like I am am finally in control of testing my water more accurately and off the pool store water test roller coaster. This kit def gets 5 stars from me!
Great stuff. Our pool builder recommend this and it’s very easy to do and very accurate, unlike the test strips. Expensive, but durable and I’m sure will last.
Absolutely needed. I just got a home with a pool which I’ve never maintained a pool before so this has been a learning experience for sure. Do not get strips and buy this! Way more accurate and it doesn’t take long at all to do every single test. Step by step instructions on how to test everything in the kit and has definitely saved me money by having the actual specs rather then those strips tests. Don’t get me wrong I bought strip tests at first and then I went to a pool place to test my water which I had to pay for and they recommended getting this. Best investment I’ve ever made and super easy to do.

Love it! Worth the cost. When I got this and started reading the booklet, my head started spinning. I thought oh no what did I get myself into. It is very in-depth and informative. I got on YouTube and found the video on how to use the kit. What a lifesaver. I followed the instructions, got my testing done. I was so happy to have a peace of mind that my testing strips didn’t give. I highly recommend anyone who is in doubt about this to give it a try, with YouTube of course!
