Wow. The Scrunge has gotten a lot of acclaim among kitchen “gearheads” and America’s Test Kitchen, and I have to say the hype is well deserved. The abrasive side is great at removing undesirable bits stuck to pans that the soft side can’t remove while not scratching up sensitive surfaces like non-stick surprisingly. A little soap goes a long way, and it just makes doing dishes enjoyable/effortless.The best and arguably most important bit is this thing is super durable where other sponges would fall apart this has stood the test of time much longer. Also if you rinse the Scrunge regularly after use it won’t hold onto odors as quickly as a normal sponge which would be another cause to throw it out aside from it breaking down.All and all amazing even if it comes off as a little pricey per unit. I only bought a 6-pack just to see if it was worth it. Next time I’m getting this in bulk with the largest count once I’m on my last Scrunge.
Superior Sponge. My review is long past due as I first purchased these in May. Just placed my second order for six sponges this evening. For years I purchased Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges (“SBHDSS”), set of six. I was quite content with these as I purchased them for years. I keep a sponge by the kitchen sink and one in the bathtub. At a minimum I change my sponges once a month, sometimes more. In May I decided to give the O’Ceder Scrubbing Sponge a try and I am glad I did. While they cost a bit more than the SBHDSS sponges, in my opinion they are superior. Not only do they outlast the SBHDSS, they are thicker and do a better job. It’s worth paying a little more for a superior product.
Good dish sponges. Durable & effective. These hold the soap & are a gentle but effective scouring sponge.i rated them a 4 because the price varies. They sat in my cart for awhile when they were more than $10.00, but at $7.68 they are a fair price.
O’Cedar = O’yay. I got these based on recommendation from Americas Test Kitchen and I’m glad I did. I’ve been using them for two years now. In the past I wouldn’t use anything with a sponge attached bc of bacteria but I read a study where they found out if you rinse and wring the heck out of the sponge then it’s actually not as bad as the scrubie I had been using.I’m sensitive to mildew smells and I can say I never have that problem with these. Occasionally I’ll put the sponge in the dishwasher and it never seems to effect the integrity of the sponge.
The best. These have to be the best sponges I’ve ever used better then scrub daddy, can never go wrong with these and my favorite part is they don’t smells bad and clean everything pretty well
Best there is. ATK usually gets it right, and this is no exception. Perfect size, ample sponge, and a scrubber side that cleans but doesn’t collect the crud. Jimmy Fallon did a Thank You Note segment that went something like, “Thank you, dish sponge, for reminding me what I had for dinner last night.” Funny, but does not apply to the O-Cedar Scrunge. I have a hard time finding them locally, so Amazon is my go-to.
The best kitchen sponge I have used any very long time. Personally, I am not a fan of any kitchen sponge. I think it’s mainly because they’re disposable, and I have found using a good kitchen dish cloth works just as well if not better than a sponge, and you can throw it in the washer. My husband, however, will not touch a dish unless he has a kitchen sponge.For years we had been using the scotch bright yellow ones. I’m talking we bought them in huge quantity from Sam’s….but they would only last a week or so before we had to dispose of them (and the smell, ugh).These OCedar sponges are like a breath of fresh air. They clean dishes really well, they scrub pots and pans extremely well and they don’t scratch either. They don’t smell, the scrubbing part does not disintegrate and they last a very long time before they need replaced, and mainly that’s because I think geez I can’t remember when we last replaced these, so I’ll bring out a new one.These are really great value for the quality of the sponge and the length of time that they last. Plus they really just work well. I would purchase them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them!

Superior scrubbers. I’ve been using these since I discovered the ATK review, and they beat any similar style scrub sponge I have used, both for versatility (doesn’t scratch), functionality (cleans up all but the worst dried/burned residue with ease), and lifespan (lasts a very long time if you keep it rinsed off and use a proper sponge holder).

Good quality. Very durable and functional sponges with one abrasive side that doesn’t scratch the surface.
The only sponges we use. The media could not be loaded. Seems silly to have a preference for a sponge, but when you’re washing dishes every day – you develope a preference! These clean really well. The back scrubber is tough without being destructive. It’s cleaned really caked on particles without scratching my products, even sensitive ones. It dries fairly quick if I hang it in my sponge holder so it doesn’t get the funky smell (as fast). I’ve tried running them through the dishwasher which works nicely too but at the price point I’d rather just purchase new ones than worry about bacteria build up after a while.

“Durable, High-Quality Sponges at a Great Price”. I love these sponges! They are thick, high-quality, and clean well—an excellent value for the money. I used to buy name-brand sponges that were similar, but they stopped making them as thick. These sponges don’t tend to smell bad like others. They take longer to develop an odor, especially if you make sure to rinse them well after use. If they do start smelling, I simply replace them with a new one. They’re very durable and fantastic for the price!
