  1. After three months, problem solved. My poor 3 year old dog has had itchy, scabby sores on her spine, tummy and on her “arm pit” areas. I took her to the vet, who assumed she had sarcoptic mites and prescribed 3 topical applications of Revolution, 2 weeks apart. It seemed like it could work, and then it didn’t. We moved on to assuming allergies. He didn’t like the idea, but we gave her a Cytopoint shot to see if it was allergies. The itching was greatly reduced, but the red scabby sores kept popping up. I got a blue light and some magnifying glasses and examined her spine where she chews carefully . Although it seems impossible, I swore I could see a little patch of mites jumping around. The Revolution had not worked, so mites seemed to be a longshot, yet I could see this teeny tiny cluster of little white spots that looked like rice moving around under the blue light. I bought this dip. It was easy to apply/dab on and not as big of a deal as some of these reviews make it out to be. Day 1 she is not biting, chewing, ear flapping or scratching! She doesn’t go anywhere other than the beach and a private park where there are no other dogs. For her to have mites is really strange! The weekend this began, a relative who is very fond of getting regular C19 boosters (3 now) stayed with us for post surgical while having a medical procedure done. It is said that all dogs have demodectic mange in small numbers, but it’s usually only problematic in the very young, very old or immune compromised. It is also said that the booster shots are many times more potent that the original series. As crazy as it sounds, I think exposure to him may have triggered this mite explosion. It is the only thing that changed in her environment. I am posting this possible link in case it helps other people figure out their dog’s skin problem. This is by no means a conclusive cause, but it’s possible. When you have a desperately scratching animal, all possibilities must be considered. I’ll update this review as more time passes and give a final outcome. So far, I am thrilled!3 week update- November 4th. I have dipped my girl 4 times now, the last time was a full week ago. I have also discovered that if it is demodex mites, I needed to switch from selamectin topical flea/tick liquid to Nexguard. Nexguard alone can manage demodex, but it does nothing for the immediate crusty, itchy skin. The two treatments combined have been a 1, 2 punch. Her skin keeps getting better everyday with no more sensitivity. Previously when I would scratch her with my fingers, her back end would practically collapse because she was so sensitive. Now all is well! I will update again in a few weeks.

  2. Sulpher Dip. The smell like everyone says!Don’t do this in a closed space. Gag.I unfortunately don’t know if it works or not, my dog had allergiesI was unaware of, once she was on antibiotics her skin cleared up.I used gloves and a sponge, I did not dip her.

  3. This really works. Have a Great Pyrenees that gets yeasty and itches non stop. This stopped it after one use, I did it twice as recommended and his skin is back to soft pink. Highly recommend

  4. Good stuff. Wish I had started it two weeks earlier for my kitten. It stinks up the area when you use it and you must follow the directions but boy does it work great for ringworm.

  5. Too strong, be careful l. It smells strong and is a strong medicine too, that should be applied with precaution. It works, but if the cat lick the medice, for sure will get sick and die.I use for the stray cats that comes to my house to eat, they were all sick from scab, I bought the collars to prevent them from lick, but one of them got out of the collar after scratch my kid, most of them got partialy cure, but one of them got really sick and die few days after apply it. After that happen, I got so sad that I was not able to applied them again to get them completely cure, so they got sick again with scab and keep on been like that. I simply don’t have the heart to use it again.
