Under Armour Men’s HeatGear Tactical Compression Short-Sleeve T-Shirt

Love them. Beware when you order these get one size higher. I love to wear them when I go play sports or go to the gym, they keep me cool. The only problem is that when you wash them a lot they tend to stretch and it won’t be really compressed. Overall I think this is a good buy if you are going to workout or play sports.

A little snug. This is the first piece of Under Armour clothing I have purchased, and as I bought it online I couldn’t exactly feel it out or size it up.Weighing *roughly* 200lbs *cough* I typically fit in a large shirt and figured it was no big deal, well I should have gone extra large becausethese are snug. They are meant to form fit to your body and wick away the moisture and the heat when playing sports. Maybe use as a swim top. I did not like the itchiness of the seams / tag, so I ended up trying this inside-out.The feel of the shirt is funny – it’s like your body can’t figure out if you are hot or cold when you are sweating.If there are situations where you need a swim top this would be great – maybe for avoiding sunburn or when practising dives to avoid belly-flops, back-flops, etc.The notes from the other commenters are correct about the sizing: expect this to fit tightly, or “run small” depending on your point of view.

Excellent exercise gear. It the world of workout gear, there are times when you can buy the store brand, or the cheaper version, and there’s no difference. The biggest exception is under amour’s heat and cold gear. This shirt is heat great. It is designed to keep you cool when the weather gets hot. When I go for a run, I always throw on my under armour. Cold gear is great up to about 50 degrees, then it’s time to switch to heat gear.A few things must be said. First, buy the size you always buy. I’m 6’1 180lbs (yeah, I don’t exactly look like the guy in the ad), and I always buy large. The large fits me perfectly. Keep in mind, it’s called compression gear for a reason. It should feel snug, quite snug. It acts as a second skin, wicking away sweat, keeping you cool, but it in no way restricts your movement.On an average run here’s how it works. When you first put it on, if you’re not used to it, it may feel a bit strange. That’s ok, just go with it. Throw a running shirt over and head out the door. After the first mile, you probably won’t even notice you’re wearing it, as you really start to heat up, for me that’s usually mile 3-4, something strange happens: I feel comfortable. Yes it’s hot out (let’s say its 70-80 degrees), but I feel cool and comfortable, relative to how I feel without the compression gear. By the end of the run, there is a noticeable difference in how hot I feel. It keeps you cooler then you think it will (still hot, and sweaty, but it really takes the edge off).After a workout, peel off the shirt, and set it aside for your next workout. It is a second skin, it should feel tight, if it’s not, it won’t wick the sweat and it won’t keep you cool. Finally, unlike the store brand knock offs, the under armour doesn’t ride up. Some of the cheap knock offs slide up as you run so by the end it’s more sports bra then sports shirt. Not so with so with under armour. It stays put, keeps you cool, and is great for serious athletes and casual runners alike. I’ve also worn it during soccer games with similar results. Even with all the sliding and tumbling, it stays put and keeps me cool. Worth every penny, and as always, a great price on amazon.

wind) and it felt great. This is a compression shirt and so it. This T-shirt did exactly what it had to do. I used it in an obstacle race (sand, mud, stones, barbwire, sun, wind) and it felt great. This is a compression shirt and so it is tight, it is designed to be tight and hold your muscles as a second skin. Of course it got wet, but it did not absorb as much water as a cotton t-shirt; mud was almost imperceptible and so it didn’t hardened when it dried. The material is really good; I went trough the entire race and by the end I only found two little holes at the bottom and probably from the barbwire. Remember that I had to crawl on rocks and mud for a while and this T-shirt still looks like new. I have also used this T-shirt for my usual training at the gym and it feels great too. One precaution, I usually use my sleeves to dry my face, but you cannot do this with this shirt as the entire surface area of the T-shirt is going to be moist during training (I run a lot on a treadmill). Remember, it is trying to get rid of your sweat as quickly as possible and is skin tight so no part of it is fully dry if you sweat a lot and there is no breeze. As such, it will keep you fresh as that is one of the roles of sweating, getting rid of the extra heat by evaporation.It is not completely smell-proof, but it is greatly, greatly reduced. I mean, you will smell something only if you put the T-shirt on your nose after you finished your training, but apart from that you won’t even notice it. I have worn this T-shirt even when wearing suits and it feels great now that we are approaching summer.It is long, so it will go below your waist line and probably roll up a bit, but it didn’t really bother me. I usually wash it by hand and it seems to be Ok, in that way I get rid of the sweat as soon as possible.I hope this helps.

Awesome shirt. This is an awesome shirt. It is very comfortable and it doesn’t roll up over the more generous waist areas…instead it is snug and makes the tummy look firmer. It is not tight or uncomfortable. The extra large seemed right on true to size. I was worried that I should go a size up but I didn’t, and this was perfect. I was specifically interested in this for a trip where I was very limited with the weight of the baggage. This is as light as can be, but it is by no means flimsy. I will buy more.

Be aware of try before you buy. I got these at a really great deal. They were purchased mainly to make wearing my vest more comfortable. They feel great and almost forget they are there. Im normally a xl bit got an l for added compression. Just be aware that these try before you buy items may show signs of use. I washed the two last ones I got and forgot to take pictures of the deodorant streaks it came with before it was washed. But I did post the picture of a torn bag sealed inside the resealed package I received. This shouldn’t stop you from purchasing this shirt. It allows me to stay comfortable under kevlar and another shirt.

Performs Great. I use the shirt under my vest for work. It definitely helps me keep cooler!I am on the boarder between L and XL, I went with the L because I wanted a snug fit and am happy I did. It is like a second layer of skin that helps keep me cool.

Best find I’ve come across. I’m used to using the cloth type of undershirts, but those come with problems that these type of undershirts solve. For example, with these type of shirts: You don’t get hot as easily… Actually when you get a soft breeze of wind, these shirts feel so nice and cool on your skin, even if wearing a collar shirt under it. Also, since these are like a second layer of cooling skin, you don’t feel as bulky when using it as an undershirt. On the plus, the sleeves are shorter than your average shirt which means it doesn’t stick out of the shirt you’re wearing on top. The stitching on the shoulders make you appear a bit muscular on the shoulders too. I’m just in love with these shirts now. I will be buying more and replacing my cloth undershirts.
