Does what it needs to do. Driving 8 hours a day in an old company car, Needed a safe way to communcate with base – and to listen to my tunes of course. There’s a billion options out there, but I wanted Fast Charging to keep up with the demand GPS / Music takes on a battery. I took a chance on a few others that failed and this one seems to be a winner. If you’re covering long distances in a single trip, it might be difficult finding the right radio frequency to use so it doesn’t get shared mid trip with passing by signals. Once you find the sweet spot the quality is great. Microphone quality is acceptable. A lot of people don’t understand the Microphone is inside the device, and depending where your 12v power is in your car talking might not be loud or simple.. Gotta put it as close to your face as your car allows. People Understand me clearly, I understand them clearly. Fast charging works as advertised. Its not the FASTEST fast charging currently available, but its still plenty acceptable(My phone can’t charge that fast anyway). I’m constantly at 100% all day!Another thing that needs to be known about fast charging is you need to pair it with a proper cable! Its not the devices fault if you’re using the cheapest wire you find and expect it to work. I did have one minor issue where the primary button flew off after a quick double tap — Thankfully I was able to find it and it reattached just fine. Kinda urked me to take off a single star, even though you could still use the button it was harder to press / change songs. Its fixed,, it functions, and it looks sturdy enough to last a long time.
Everything works so far but not as loud as my last one. UPDATED. This one doesn’t get as loud or provide near as much bass with bass boost turned on as my last one did. But all the functions work. All charges charge and the PD slot does charge very fast. I wish it provided more loudness and bass though. I had to max out my car bass and treble and turn the transmitter to 29 or 30 volume to get pretty good sound. But my car doesn’t have the best speakers so. Still, my last transmitter I only turned the car bass up half way with bass boost on and it was still a little too much bass. But overall if you already have good speakers in your car you’ll be fine. I haven’t tested the call quality yet but when I do I’ll update my review. If call quality is good I’ll give one more star. I’m also curious to see how long the LED light works because it doesn’t light up solid. It tries to blink along with the music.Company offered a refund to me because I wasn’t 100% satisfied. Talk about great after sales service! So I’m updating my 3 star review to 5 stars because good customer service is worth it!
The power button is the main reason why I bought this transmitter and not others. I like to leave the transmitter plugged in 24/7. I always have my dashcam plugged into it, that’s why the transmitter is always plugged in.With my old transmitter, i didn’t like how i had to sacrifice about 80% of the radio station at all times (due to car dashcam) when i am not connected by bluetooth. I also hated when I left my car after i got home, and my phone would still be connected to the transmitter, which would force me to turn off my bluetooth from my phone all the time, or if bluetooth was still enabled and somehow my phone would disconnect, later on during the dat my phone would connect randomly anywhere in my house which is very annoying. And when I was connected by bluetooth and i was forcefully disconnected due to being out of range, my phone wouldn’t automatically connect. Which then forced me to connect manually by going into the bluetooth settings of my phone every single time, or unplugging the transmitter and plugging it back in.With this unit however, it solves all the problems my old one gave me. With the power button, i can easily connect my phone if it accidentally disconnects and doesn’t connect again within a minute. I can now listen to all of the radio stations when i am done using bluetooth by turining of the transmitter with the power button. And when I get home i can leave bluetooth ebabled, since I can turn off the transmitter with the power button, and not have to worry about my phone connecting to the transmitter randomly around the house anymore. Having the power button has improved my quality of life.Again, I highly recommend this model for the power button alone, and this button makes my daily driving experience a 10/10.
A great addition to an older auto. This little gadget is a great addition for an older vehicle that does not have a phone and thumb reader built in. I initially wanted a transmitter that I could use to play music from a thumb drive in my 2012 Mustang. I had already connected my phone using the aux plug in the console but it is wired and not easy to use while driving. I was playing media from my phone through the in-dash radio which works well.When I came across this small FM transmitter, it seemed like the thing I needed for the thumb drive. It was. In addition, this has Bluetooth connection to the phone as well so it makes answering an hanging up much easier.To get the thumb drive to play through my radio I set both the transmitter and radio to FM station to 107.9 and it connected without a problem. Just follow the instructions and it’s a simple install. Just plug it into the cigarette lighter socket, turn it on and get connected!Another plus is that it can be moved between vehicles if desired.Now I can listen to Rock music, answer my phone and cruise in my Mustang with ease. I highly recommend this gadget!
