Miracle product for our spa. My boyfriend and I are “newbies” to hot tub care, and have been having problems with water clarity and chemical balance. The water always looked cloudy, and at times looked “green”, and we had to, upon the advice of the place where we bought the tub, drain, clean and refill the tub. This guy, in Lansing, Michigan, kept saying we needed to empty our tub several times, run his assortment of cleaners through the system, drain again and again. Ridiculous! A friend told us about this product, Spa Bright and Clear, and said it was fantastic. It is fabulous! Our chemicals were balanced, but the water was cloudy, with a slight “film” on the surface, and I never felt clean getting out of the spa. I added 4 ounces of this product to the tub, let it run for a half hour, and could not believe the stuff that accumulated around the water’s edge. It was yellow, the consistency of butter, and I had to get in and use a cleaning sponge to keep removing it and re-running the jets. After three sessions of this, our water is sparkling clean, blue, and crystal clear. Apparently this product causes loose particles to cling together so that you can remove them from the water. I also used a mesh strainer to clean the bubbles from the edges of the tub while the jets were working.Why the business owner never told us about this is a mystery. He sells Leisure Time products, but not this. I love to just look at the hot tub, lights on at night, and marvel at the difference this has made for us. Buy this product! Saved us lots of grief and misery, and we now love our hot tub!
Worked great. Just be ready with a skimmer to gather up the “stuff” that is removed from the water. Edited after 2nd use… The product worked great… Water was slightly cloudy and is now crystal clear BUT… not after all the tiny particles were gathered together producing thick, greasy foam that caused a ring around the hot tub. Be prepared and advised to skim the gross greasy bubbles out of the hot tub before they became a thick ring and save yourself a bit of panic and time. After doing some research this is 100% normal and expected. I did the research after my first use ans so was surprised by the greasy foam. But now knowing this I am prepared and the product works great to gather the tiny particles that cause the slight cloudiness resulting in crystal clear water. I now am at the ready with a skimmer and after the process is over, a Mr Clean Magic Eraser makes quick work of any ring left behind.
Really works… and I was hesitant to believe it would. My newish hot tub (3 weeks old) got cloudy overnight. I got the water balanced and reshocked it, even changed out the chlorine dispenser, but a few days later and it was still cloudy. I didn’t think this product would help and worried I’d have to just dump the water and try again, wasting all the chemicals I just used trying to save it. It arrived from Amazon and I immediately added 4 tablespoons. Noticed the yellow scummy looking bubbles coming up quick so went to work skimming those off and wiping the edges over and over for about 20min. The water is back to being crystal clear! I am so thankful I don’t have to drain and start over and we can use our newish hot tub again tonight now! AMAZING!
Amazing Product. My 350 gallon inflatable hot tub got extremely cloudy after using on a daily basis. I added more bromine and shocked it and it still was. I bought this product after reading all the reviews and I’m so so so HAPPY I did. This stuff is amazing!!! It brought all the “yuck” to the surface and then I skimmed it with my net wiped off the surface of the hot tub sides and was ready to go!!! Will always keep this on hand!!!!
Clear water. I started using this weekly. Didn’t think it was necessary. I was wrong. Add it, run jets on high for 15 minutes. Water that didn’t even seem cloudy is crystal clear in 15 minutes. Remember to replace filter AFTER Bright and Clear with clean dry filter. Rinse filter and allow to dry for next use.
Amazing. Chemical balance in my tub was spot on but this cleared up my cloudy water in minutes. Highly recommended.

FINALLY!! – ONLY PRODUCT I FOUND TO CLEAR UP MY CLOUDY HOT TUB AFTER 3 YEARS SEARCHING. After 3 years of searching (endlessly) for a product to clear my chronically cloudy hot tub, and after talking to my local tub dealer many times for a product or technique to clear the cloudiness (frustratingly without a solution!). I finally found it with this product, use as instructed it cleared out all the invisible ‘gunk’ from my hot tub in less than an hour!I always maintain a perfect PH and Chlorine levels in my Arctic Spas Cub Model tub (285 gal), but could only keep the water looking clean for a few days after a complete drain & refill of the tub with new filters installed, it would always go back to cloudy within a few days – this had continued for 3 YEARS to a point I was ready to get rid of the tub.For now, this product has restored it back to pristine crystal clear water, which is what I expected after spending $20K for a high-end hot tub 3 years ago. Thank you Leisure Time for creating this product, it absolutely works using their proprietary ‘surfactant’ chemical to trap all the organic invisible gunk in your tub, which then coagulates and floats to the surface in larger particles to be skimmed off or captured by a scum sponge I use – see the picture of what it removed, I used the tub pre-filters to not clog up my main filters which worked perfectly, and had to toss the Zorbie sponge, but happy to do it to obtain a sparking clean tub – 10 stars, great product!

I did some research and after reading other reviews decided to try this. Let me tell you. It worked wonders. Of course you need a net to catch all the oily body nasties, right away. This stuff works almost instantly with the jets going. Also bought a turtle scum collector. My hot tub water looks as clean and clear as the day i filled it. Buy it you won’t regret it.

HOLY COW!!!! This stuff works. I wish I took pictures to show the difference and how well this works. We had water clarity issues in our 4k gallon swim spa from swimmers not showering before use. All chems were balanced, brand new filters so we tried this. On a Friday afternoon, I followed the directions by the letter and didn’t have the amount of scum that some people in these reviews had but definitely did have some. I used the net to skim it off and wiped around the water line with a sponge. Ran a filter clean cycle for 8 hours then again 8 hours the next day. Checked the water on Sunday morning and it was as clear as can be!! I HIGHLY recommend this for clearing up cloudy water in a spa!

Bought this based on the reviews and hoped it would help save me from draining and refilling before schedule. It took two doses over as many days, but this stuff is a miracle product and returned pur opaque and cloudy water to crystal clean. Be prepared to skin and clean and this stuff really makes the minute particles bind together into a gnarly surface scum, but that’s exactly what was needed. Would buy this 100x over. So great!

The new bottle version doesn’t have measurement lines. The bottle that’s been around for a decade has been redesigned. Now you have to pull out a cup to measure properly. Before you could use the lines on the bottle. What a dumb change. Otherwise, this stuff always works great!

A good choice for value and water balance. This product worked well. Using 1/2 the recommended amount worked best for us. The water stayed clear and balanced.
This Stuff Works. I was skeptical at first because I’ve tried many different products to clarify my water. None of them worked very well so I ordered Leisure Time Bright and Clear hoping for the best.I gotta tell you, this stuff is magic! It worked just as described. I am very happy with the results and would definitely recommend it.
