It worked. We had a green pool again after the oak pollen fell. This year we tried this product & ran the pump continuously for a week or so. The pool is almost blue. Hoping to have it completely blue soon. Product is a little pricey but was very easy to use. Will use again next year.
3 months Works Great. I buy these every year before the start of Summer. They were great but only last 3 months not 6.
Works Amazing. I typically do not write reviews but my contentment warrants me to share with other potential buyers. I live in MA and we have been bombarded with rain almost on a daily basis. Although my pool level has been great, my water became consistently cloudy, lightly where I can still see the bottom. I checked my levels daily and the pool water was always balanced. I tried clarifier which made the water even more cloudy to where I could no longer see through the pool. After backwashing and cleaning the filter, my water would clear but still not be crystal clear and still a bit cloudy. I tried algeacide which again completely clouded the water. I allowed this to cycle through the pool and in the meantime researched other alternatives to get my water clear because the water was again balanced but just didn’t look right. Many shared pics that looked like the condition of my pool on another platform, so I decided to purchase as I had nothing to lose at this point. Plus I like the added bonus of decrease of salt consumption since I have a salt water pool. It was delivered in the evening and as per directions the pump needs to run for at least 3 hours to let the granules dissolve, so I did not add to my pump until 8am the next day. By 1 pm (5 hours later) my pool was CRYSTAL CLEAR!!!!!!! I was shocked at how fast and how well this product worked. I am on day 2 now and I keep walking out to my pool throughout the day to admire my beautiful perfectly clear and balanced pool! Poolrx black certainly was not cheap up front but is an investment from longterm headaches and useless chemical trials which ultimately costs a heck of a lot more.
Crystal clear pool, just amazing. There are so many products on the market to dump in your pool. I had a pool service and they only put in liquid chlorine and some conditioner twice a year. I dropped the service and put in my own liquid chlorine, but whether a service or doing it myself, I always had algae on my pool walls. My pool is pretty clear prior to PoolRx, but now it is crystal clear. The best part is, I have no algae and my 4 step area have no collection. I used to brush the steps and clouds of algae dust would arise. I have not scrubbed my pool, except rare occasion as I am just a little over the top about my pool cleanliness.I understand there is a chemical reaction with PoolRx, but never new it would be this simple to have a great looking pool with little effort. Thank you to ever invented this product!
Black Algae GONE. My pool guy told me I had a sudden case of black algae it was pretty bad he said he tried to scrub it off himself but it wouldn’t come off and that I’d have to get something specifically for black algae went to Leslie’s and looked at what they had and the bottle of stuff was $69.99 but there was no guarantee it would work and somebody on Facebook recommended pool RX so I went looked at all the reviews and decided to give it a try put it in my pump basket and within 24 hours all the black algae was gone! 🤩🙌 I could not believe my eyes😱 if I hadn’t seen it for myself I would have never believed it… my pool guy is in shock that he didn’t have to come back and scrub at my weekly cleaning today. I hghly recommend this product because it truly works!! Simply Amazing!!
Makes having a pool hassle free. We have used this product in our pool for the last two summers. My husband was skeptical but now he is a believer. Water has been clear all summer even during the rainy periods. Only shocked the pool once after heavy rains mid season for the heck of it. FYI we keep pool temp at 84 degrees. Our season last four months so can’t vouch for it lasting six months. So happy not to add algaecide every two weeks!
A miracle. Man, I don’t know where this thing has been all of my life. We have dealt with yellow algae for the better part of two years. We tried different things that were just temporary fixes. Then, I found this online. It is nothing short of amazing. I just dropped it in the basket and it went to work. I wish I had before and after pics!! Within 3 days the algae was gone. Over a month later and it has not returned. I spoke to my pool guy today and he said my pool has been great. I was asking about this product and he said, “Man, I don’t know what it is about it, but I know a lot of people that use it and it works.” He said it works about 90% of the time.The only issue I found is that when I added it my CYA went up to about 100. I really do think it was because of this. However, my pools guy said everything was good and my CYA is now 70. It’s still high, but he said all other levels look great.I haven’t had to really do anything to my pool. I forget to clean it because it looks so freakn good. I am talking clear water!If you want something that works, please do not hesitate to get this. I really wish I had known about it a long time ago!! Would have saved me time and money. It’s stupid how simple it is to use. Quick and easy. Just drop it in and you’re done!

Within one day it killed most of the algae which had clouded the pool badly. It will clear the water quickly but does not get rid of algae patches on the bottom or side of the pool. Brushing or using the pool cleaner takes care of these and with the x in the skimmer, the algae does not come back. We left it in the skimmer basket with the pool cover on and for the first 2 months we have had no algae growing on the cover. Good deal!

Well worth the price. It works better than expected. I am well past 6 months, but because it is winter, I can wait before replacing. Cut my scrubbing of the pool by 90%.
LOVE. I was very skeptical when I read about this product. And there were so many options I was not entirely sure what to get. I absolutely love this product!!! I can honestly say my pool was very clear after inserting it into the pump and I definitely used significantly less chemicals on the pool for several months. Do be careful when cleaning out your filter if there is still a decent amount of life left. I had to reset my filter covers because it was leaking due to not getting it all out back together properly and just touching the water in the filter for a few minutes left my hands very dry! Use glove.
Seriously might be black magic. I have been having issues with my Pool chemistry for months. I should start by saying I am not a rookie with pools. I ran 3 of the largest waterparks in AZ for 10 years and was responsible for the pool chemistry. My pool is only 12,500 gallons. I regularly have algae problems. I spend hundred of dollars on chemicals to treat the water it goes away and then comes back. I followed the instructions. Prior to receiving I had just shocked the pool but the Algae was still there. Cleaned my Filter as the instructions state. Dropped in the Pool PX right into the Pump basket. Not the pool leaf basket the Pump basket. Set my pump for a quick clean for 4 hours last night. This morning the pool is Crystal Clean. Even the Algae on the Pool Vacuum is gone! This thing is like magic. Now we will see how long it lasts!
Works excellent. My parents have had a pool since I was 5 years old over 65. I’m maintaining the pool now. There is a pool cover. First year ever we had an algae problem. There is Avocado trees not sure why this year it’s creating a problem. The product cleared up the Algae problem almost instantly. I didcleaned the filter which was green. Next time the filter wasn’t. Personally I would highly recommend this product.
