Good, but buy a medium length pole. I like the fine mesh, but it’s too hard to use with a long pole that you have to vacuum or brush your pool. A shorter pole and this net makes it easy to get small stuff off the bottom when you’re IN the pool.
Above & beyond as described. This skimmer is wonderful to scoot along the bottom to catch those annoying small twigs & leaves that swirl around your feet, that you just can’t catch with normal skimmers. The slightly bigger catch size also helps this specific task so that the things stay in the net as long as you keep forward momentum, then swirl around as you go up to catch what has been stirred up off the bottom. It has the expected size pole, 1 1/4″ & should be interchangeable with most other products, interconnecting segments, strong enough, doesn’t bend or flop around, thicker neck area where the net attached to the pole.I don’t use it for faster surface skimming, but those types just don’t work as well on the bottom either. I only have this one like this, but I would hate to be without it if it broke on me, so I will buy an extra one.
Could be a little bigger. Does its job, scoops the leaves out of the pool. A larger size could help but this does what I need it to do.
I Was Thinking I Was Going To Return This… Now I love it. I have a Pebble-Tech pool, which is rougher than standard plaster. That means picking up leaves and trash on the bottom can be a little harder. Once I figured out how to use this, I love it. I can “fly” this to the bottom and slide it along where 90% of the time, it gets the item on the first pass. In two months, the Pebble-Tech has ground the edge of the net frame to a fairly sharp edge which helps the net frame scoop up the item. If you miss it, a simple “fly-back” profile of picking the net up a foot, pulling back and then proceeding forward as you fly back to the bottom keeps the net out of the way and snags the item. You can cruise the whole pool after a wind storm and catch most of the leaves in one pass. The weighted tab on the bottom of the net/bag allows you to invert and empty the trash over your fence without having to touch the net and then invert again to continue or store it. My only complaint is that the bag is very tight and filters very well, making it a little harder to “scoop” in mid water, but that is minor. It does such a great job, I just ordered a spare. I am guessing these will last at least two years, longer if stored out of direct sunlight. Well worth the price. Makes clean-up much easier and faster than a simple net.
Works great. Now first off, this is not a long pool skimmer, but the design of the skimmer head makes this a really great one for leaves. I have a long one I use when needed that the pool contractor gave us. This one was ordered before we got that one and when it arrived I thought it would be a waste. However, it turns out they are both great for different reasons. This one is really good at scooping things off the bottom, its shape makes them pop up and then the net catches them, of course this mostly has to be done from inside the pool. Its length requires that but it’s ok. It skims off the top fine, just can’t reach the middle of the pool, my grandson likes to help and this one is his size. The head on this skimmer really is designed well and worth a buy.

However, the netting material does NOT last long. Im in Arizona, and the material only lasts about one summer, if that. The netting is kind of like a slighty thicker nylon pantyhose. Sorry, cant compare to anything else. The sun will eventually make the material rip, since its thin. But it works well to skim pool until I need a new one.

Excellent Tool. INITIAL REVIEWThis review is being written after several days use of the skimmer net. Ultimately I won’t know the REAL value of the product until I’ve used it for a full season. Durability is critically important in a skimmer net!So far, this is a TERRIFIC skimmer net. It fits the pole properly with no issues. It works great for picking up surface debris. It works even better for picking up debris on the bottom of my fiberglass pool. The “scooping front edge” even allows picking up precipitated chemical flakes on the bottom of the pool, which was a total surprise to me. The mesh size of the net is perfect. The attachment of the mesh to the plastic frame seems very secure.The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that the color is too bright and jarring. It would have been better if the color were a darker, calmer blue (like the ocean).
Consumable product, but effective. If you have a pool and use a skimmer a lot, you know that these are essentially consumables. The net gets caught, the UV of it being outside ages the plastic and net, and overall you’ll need a new one every couple years. Such is life.This fit with no problems onto the pole I was using for the previous, now retired model of net.The scoop edge helps pick up leaves off the bottom of the pool, while the net is sizable enough to hold plenty of debris for a full lap around picking up leaves and insects and whatever else nature contributes.It doesn’t have a weight to put the net back inside after filling it, but knocking it on something to empty then a swish in the pool got it back in place quickly.
Great skimmer. This skimmer is great. It is heavy duty and does not bend or flex while skimming. Perfect surface size, not too bog, or small. Very happy with this. Price was great also for the quality can not speak on the quality of the net yet, but it is a very nice mesh.
Looked sturdy but didn’t hold up. This looked good but It did not even hold together for one summer. We didn’t use this net often because we still had out old one. But the net tore before the summer was over.The company contacted us and replaced the one we had. Very good customer service.
Easy to assemble. Easy to assemble and worked well. Good for daily use. To really clean the pool you need a motorized pool sweep though.

Wish I got sooner. I wish I got a pool rake years ago. I used this the entire season and it is so much more effective. Dan than trying to use a pool, vacuum or skimmer. I have problems with acorns all over the bottom of my pool daily and this rake made it a breeze and held up through the entire season.

Well designed and well executed. Well made, heavy duty. I have to remove a large number of leaves in fall from my large fish pond since it is surrounded by trees.It makes the job fun and easy.
Quality. Bought one two years ago and it has been great. Super sturdy and good net. Then I was dumb and tried to use it to push up my sky shade over the pool to dump off snow and of course broke it!!!Loved it so much I searched my Amazon purchases and found it and reorderedAnd then for a bonus they reinforced the net even more. Better than expected. Works beautifully. They thought this one through. First thing I noticed is the quality and basket depth of the mesh, next, I noticed a tab at the bottom of the basket, and next, they give you convenient dual buttons to push to slip it onto your pole, so you don’t have to hassle getting it on. What really pleasantly surprised me is that it scoops up leaves on the bottom of the pool like a vacuum! Ok, a few get disturbed by the water and float away, but turned upside down, basket upside, it scoops up, and the leaves stay in the basket! Perfect! Note: leaves may differ by geography, but it got mine. It’s very easy to empty, the tab not only shapes the net, it serves as an easy finger hold to straighten the net in emptying it, and the leaves I had fell out very cleanly, no need to rinse it down. Very happy with it! It would be worth $19.xx even as a one-time thing, but it appears durable, good for at least three or four leaf seasons, maybe more. Oh, it’s got a big mouth, which would be important catching floating leaves.
