Surprisingly good, reliable headset for under $80 (PC only). PROs:+ Audio quality is surprisingly good all-around, for music, movies, gaming, and Zoom meetings+ Relatively affordable compared to some gaming headsets you might need to take loan out to afford+ Flip-to-mute mic is clear and captures audio decently+ Onboard controls are intuitively laid out+ Lightweight and comfortable to use all day+ Subtle look is suitable for an office environment+ USB-C connector charges the headset quicklyCONs:- NGenuity software is Windows-only so limits the usefulness of the headset- Software leaves a lot to be desired- USB dongle required so it will take up a USB port- No Bluetooth support- Limited to 16-bit 48khz audio- No EQ to adjust audio- Shuts off after 10 minutes with no audio (and no ability to change this)- DTS:X support is either a trial or limited basis (couldn’t get mine to activate the DTS:X license)- HyperX support is terrible, so don’t expect help if you need itA decent headset with good audio and some annoying limitations that aren’t enough for me to dock it a star. The price is good, especially if you can find it discounted closer to $50. While not an audiophile-quality headset, the sound it does put out is surprisingly good across the board. I have not been disappointed by audio from music, movies, games, or even Zoom meetings. It is slightly bass heavy, and unfortunately (unlike some of the more expensive HyperX headsets) there is no equalizer to adjust this. However, if you want a simple headset that you don’t need to fiddle around with, this should more than meet your needs. The flip-to-mute mic is always a welcome addition, and this one works well, with clear vocal audio. I wouldn’t recommend this if you want to record podcasts, although it will certainly do in a pinch. It seems to handle everything quite well.I primarily use this as a backup headset when my primary headset dies, but I’m generally surprised with it each time I put it on. HyperX software and support leave A LOT to be desired, and I wish they would work on that, but with the affordable cost combined with the audio quality from the cans and microphone, I give these a lukewarm 5 stars. 4.5 stars is what I would give this if I could give it a half-star rating.
I NEVER dropped my headset, good take care of it and it just failed me in a middle of a competitive game for no good reason. A shame for the price!EDIT: They send me a new headset as replacement.
Decent for the price. I am listening/watching a movie from my phone with these cans (headset ) connected. This morning I was playing a FPS game with some friends in MP (Multiplayer) using these and talking to my mates. The sound has been configured by the DTS X Sound Unbound App and I can say that the sound is coming out pretty good, I cannot call it great because I have had better sound experiences prior to these. I feel the sound comes in a bit off somehow, not sure how to describe it, You can definitely hear that you are listening in headsets, it feels a bit enclosed and not like the surround or sound you would feel in a studio or theater setting which I have experienced with more expensive sets. Still, for the price you cant really expect that from these, the sound is good enough to make out pencil scratching, footsteps, the various sound-stages from explosions, the engine revs from vehicles and other small background sounds from various scenes. The feel of the set is ok, they are lightweight but I can still feel them wearing them, they have a firm press against your ears which also helps closing out the sounds from around you, I can still hear the A/C and other people if they talk but it is very faint. They feel a bit plasticy and if you touch the cups you will hear it clearly the same if you touch the cord, you can hear that something is touching the cord, so set everything up accordingly if that is something that will annoy you. The foam pads are soft and stiff at the same time, not uncomfortable but you can definitely feel that you are wearing them.I love that the volume control is inline (on the cord) vs. on-board (on the cup), it has a mute button on the inline as well which I prefer from when it is connected to the microphone and you need to unfold the mic to mute, those have a tendency to wear-out. According to my mate they hear me loud and clear when I am talking, even if the mic is unfolded they can hear me but with less clarity. The cord is just right for my set-up, I use a Surface Pro 10 so the phono input is just behind the screen on the hard-drive so it is enough to reach where I am sitting. I can see this being too short if you have a stationary next to you on the floor or similar, then you might need an extension. The extension that comes with it is made for connections that has a separate mic input and a headphone input, I only have one so I cant use the extension if i wanted to, a pet peeve would be to include an extension cord for only single inputs, or even better just make longer cords, it is easy enough to wind up the cord if it is too long vs. getting extensions which most people do not have available and would need to buy before being able to use their headsets.Overall, for the price they are quite decent and I don’t regret trying these out.

Great but it died on me. I want to start off with this headset is pretty great. Audio sounds amazing I sometimes use the headset for music. As for battery life it’s not bad I feel like I get a good 5 hours before I need to plug it in. Now for the issue, I bought the headset in January and kinda use it everyday for multiple hours, the headset was making the low battery noise but as soon as I plugged it in and it died and won’t turn it back on. If anything else happens I’ll update this post.
Pretty good. It came in a little late but that’s ok i don’t recommend this for long term gaming the padding isn’t the thickest nor does it rap around but besides that it’s a pretty good product for the price
Afforable, and gets the job done. btw, I bought this for work, not gaming.Pros:Affordable, easy to connect, just works, mic mutes when lifted up, and the mic sound canceling seems to work good.Cons:Only comes in black and pink, more colors would be nice.
So far so good – works with Linux. These are recognized in Linux (pavucontrol is preferred here).Similar in several ways to competitor’s headset, which did not last long at all (that other product had a mic boom intermittent issue – never repaired). This one seems well-behaved for the mic boom and has not failed at all. It’s a flexy gooseneck type mic boom.Audio is just okay. Not as much bass in mic audio as expected but it’s within range of acceptable.Headset (at the ears) audio is fine but nothing to write home about. Can hear others clearly (used almost always for the spoken word; podcasts, Discord voice chat).Seems to work without a ‘driver’ in Linux and is identified correctly.Have gotten used to setting up a range of volume in pavucontrol (a mixer) to avoid trying to hit the limits using the thumbwheel audio volume control on this headset.Battery life not great but usually enough. I would say the competitor’s set lasted a good deal longer on one charge.Charge monitor circuit is an LED that ‘breathes’ and is hard to get a read on – have to stare at it not to miss the brief moment it ‘breathes’ to a very low brightness, before recovering to near full or full brightness. Needs a redesign for human factor (not an issue if you are not waiting for it to finish the charge, in order to immediately use the headset).Good price and durability seems good or very good (still too soon to say for sure) so would likely re-order these, if this pair lasts a good while (18 months would be the minimum acceptable service life here).Does the job.
GOATED GAMING HEADSET. i straight up never write reviews, but this headset is so godly that i had to drop some knowledge. i’ve had it for almost 2 years now, and it still performs as if it’s brand new. the sound quality + bass is crisp—better than my friend’s $200 sony headphones. the mic quality is good too. it’s obviously not on the same level as a professional mic set, but it’s definitely better than average. these headphones also have a really good battery life. you can use them for 2 days straight without charging and they’ll still work great. plus, they’re super comfortable and lightweight. not once have i ever had an issue with them squeezing my head or hurting my ears.i went through 3 headsets in 2 years prior to owning these, and they always developed the same issues: mic would glitch out for a bit and then stop working all together, sound quality would deplete, and the battery life tanked within a few months. these hyperx headphones, however, as i mentioned above, still work amazing almost 2 years after constant use. they’re INSANELY good quality, even without taking the price into consideration. but with the fact that they’re under $40, this is a FIRE, GOD-TIER deal. highly recommended! and thank you to my overlord hyperx for concocting this precious beauty. i think i would have exploded and died without them. i love you hyperx. (not to glaze tho)

Incredible durability and quality for such a low price, this is a MUST for gamers on a budget. The HyperX Cloud Stinger Core Wireless Gaming Headset has truly impressed me with its performance and comfort. The lightweight design and DTS Headphonetechnology deliver an immersive gaming experience, making it a favorite for long sessions. The sound quality is outstanding, with clear audio and robust bass that enhances every game. While the adjustable mic piece has become a bit loose after several years of use, this is a minor issue considering the headset’s overall durability and continued performance. Despite this small drawback, the headset has consistently delivered exceptional value and reliability. For anyone seeking a high-quality, wireless gaming headset, the HyperX Cloud Stinger Core is a top choice that absolutely deserves a five-star rating.

Good headset. This has lasted me 3+ years, and cords have been fraying but I don’t blame it- the amount of time I snagged the wires and moved houses with these are a lot.Fit: Fit is great, it’s snug for hours on my head for long days on the computer. I don’t like the length of the cord and I don’t know anyone who would need more than 5 feet in cord for their computers!! The cords get snagged on everything and I can’t turn my head quickly or move around like I want. However mine never unplugged from the adjustment connection.Mic: 1 Star taken off for overall mic pickup quality. People can hear me in real life but can HARDLY hear me with this headset on its raw unedited settings. I am a soft quiet talker, but not to a whisper level. I have to request people turn my personal avatar volume to 0 just to hear me as normal. …However, when you can hear me it is very crisp nice ASMR level quality which I do like. It picks up my throat swallowing, especially with water, unintentionally. My friends make a joke out of it which I like, but I know others that wouldn’t. It’s a mixed bag.The mic when clicked up to physically mute has a loud click that I assume gets picked up in voice calls all the time but doesn’t.. And sometimes it feels like it isn’t actually digitally muted and is still picking up things/trying to listen in haha.. Not sure thoughSound: Sound quality is great, but the volume control is finicky too sometimes. If I move the dial a MILLIMETER past the halfway point, the sound buzzes off entirely. Not a great reliable dial/volume control— I rely more on the digital computer volume control.
