An absolute necessity in my house. I was raised using “dish rags” (yeah, I’m old!), like wash cloths, but only for washing dishes, not bodies. While I was visiting some friends a few years ago I wanted to help out & volunteered to wash dishes. They used this kind of sponge, Scotch Brite non-scratch scrub sponges. I was hesitant at first thinking it was going stink or get moldy in no time. But to my surprise there was no smell at all when taking it out of the package. I got it wet & put one pump of dish soap in the center of the sponge side & squished it a bit to get the whole sponge soapy. The slight S shape of the sponge is key; making it very comfortable to hold no matter what you’re cleaning. The reverse side has a gentle scrubber which can be used on non-stick cookware without scratching it at all. Washing dishes this way, without a sink full of soapy water, saves gallons of water & lots of time. Since then I’ve exclusively been using this particular brand & shape of sponge. The BLUE ones! I keep one in the kitchen for dishes, countertops & the inside & outside of the refrigerator, & one in the bathroom for the sink & tub. As long as I rinse them out well & set them to dry in a shallow soap dish on the kitchen & bathroom counters, they dry quickly & don’t have any smell. I buy the big package of 9 sponges for $6.74 which comes out to only 75 cents each. I’d say each kitchen sponge lasts a good 2 to 3 weeks. When I have enough dishes to use the dishwasher, the sponge goes on the top rack for thorough cleaning & disinfecting with the extremely hot water & its good as new. Don’t put it in the microwave to clean; you’ll ruin it. I have to say I’m utterly shocked as the photos sent with some other (bad) reviews. I’ve never had a sponge break off from the scrubbing side, never had them so filthy as in the pictures, never had them crumble apart, or any of the other nasty stuff shown in those photos. My guess is that they were used improperly (for heavy duty work like floor scrubbing or cleaning ovens…these are not designed for that type of use), for too long & never cleaned. I also saw complaints that the new sponges were “wet” when the package was opened. All good quality sponges are supposed to be just the slightest bit damp when new, or else by the time you get them they’d be dry & brittle, misshapen & cracked…the dampness is not a fault or anything to complain about. I HIGHLY & sincerely recommend these wonderful, very affordable sponges! My guests are so impressed with them I’m always giving out one for them to take home to try! I’ll never go back to old dish rags.

These are my everyday kitchen sponges. These are my everyday kitchen sponges and they do not scratch surfaces. Have noticed however that the darker blue mat part sometimes separates from the blue cellulose sponge part sooner than I expected.

I bought these Scotch-Brite Zero Scratch Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges, Sponges for Cleaning Kitchen, Bathroom, and Household, non-scratch Sponges Safe for Non-Stick Cookware, 9 Scrubbing Sponges.I 1st started buying these sponges just for cleaning my Berkey Water System Black Filters.These work great for scrubbing the filters clean without damaging them or ripping them up.These are what the Berkey Manufacture suggests for cleaning the Black Berkey filters.I have since started using these Sponges for all my dishes, pots and pans that I always hand-wash!These Sponges are very kind to my Teflon and ceramic coated fry pans and also work well for my Iron fry pans and Dutch ovens too.I also use these for all my mugs so I do not scratch up their nice finishes.Now, these are the only kitchen sponges that I will buy.And, they last a decent amount of time too.I am super happy with these Scotch-Brite Zero Scratch Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges!
Economical value pack. It’s a sponge, so there isn’t much to rave about. Decent pricing. I only use Scotch Brite sponges and this particular color (blue) matched my kitchen decor. The scouring side is not as robust as I would prefer, so I picked up a Scrub Buddy to help with the tougher messes.I saw recently on the news that you should you change your sponge every few weeks so having a multipack is a good thing, although I don’t really plan to change them out so frequently.
Always great to have on hand. I mean… what more needs to be said about a sponge, but I’ll give it a go! These are always a great quality item – one of the original greats of the sponge world! The blue is nice and is as shown in the photo. The sponge material is thick and durable. One side is soft and the other is scratchy – for more stubborn cleaning jobs. They’re a good size and easy to use. This packet is a great value for the money.

Can’t beat it. Quality sponge for great price
These are great. These are great! They are better than the rest and they last a lot longer. They are also thicker than most of the other ones, which is nice. I’m still using the first sponge from when I bought the pack of them. I only noticed one tiny piece of it in the sink. But I do used the heck out of it, so that’s fine.
Only sponge I use. This has always been my favorite sponge. It fits my small hands well with the cut out curves. The textured side to scrub with is a must. It’s a sturdy sponge, without being to stiff. I wanted pink, but for the lower price, the packet of blue was a good price.

As effective as Scrub Daddy and a fraction of the price. Happy with these. Used Scrub Daddy sponges for a couple years but they are too expensive. I do not see an lower quality in these lower cost sponges.
