Perfect. I almost purchased the medium 36 x 36 but at the last second decided on the 48 x 48 which is what the picture shows……I thought it would be too big but its not. I will have a portable potty box in the Play pen as well as a food and water bowl so it is a perfect size to fit it all in. I set it up in order for my kitty to get used to it when we travel…..as you can see he loooooooves it !!! he went right in on his own !!!!! and slept in it all night !!!! I put some old binkys in it and he cozied up and fell asleep. When our trip is done i will use it to put him outside in it so he can enjoy the out doors safely (attended of course)The quality is VERY good…..sturdy pop open no hassles………the only thing I don’t really care for is how top screen attaches. It doesn’t have a pull tab to help set it onto the zipper which makes it a bit cumbersome to attach.Other than that i would buy this again but considering the quality it will be a while before i need another one !!!!!!
LOVE!!!! Awesome for travel as well as for home. UPDATE: One year later, this is still one of the best things I’ve ever bought for my dog. My poodle still sleeps and naps in this playpen (we put a dog bed in it). I leave the door and top open permanently because she is fine wandering the house when we are not home, but at nap and nighttime, it’s where we always find her.I only just recently used it for travel. It fit perfectly into my husband’s check-in bag, and when we got to the airbnb and popped it open, it was her instant home away from home – a familiar space within an entirely new and strange one. It was the best thing to have for her.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is such a great little playpen for my pup. She willingly goes right in and seems happy when she’s in there.I can see that it will be a great thing to have for traveling with her. (it is, see UPDATE above)It’s super easy to fold and unfold.It’s a safe environment for my dog, with the added bonus that she likes it.It’s easy to pick up and move from room to room so a little puppy can safely be wherever we are in the house.The bag that comes with it makes storage and toting easy.The top zips open and closed or it can be completely off.The door rolls open and stays open with Velcro tabs.It fits a dog bed with plenty of room for toys and to walk around (dependent on having bought the appropriate size for the dog, of course)It’s easy to see the pup no matter where she is.I have the small one and it’s perfect for my toy poodle puppy and it will also work when she is full-sized (which is still pretty small as dogs go)Couldn’t be happier with this.
Works great for kittens/cats. Not waterproof. Bought this for 3 kittens so they wouldn’t be running the house while I was at work. It worked great at keeping them in. I was a little worried that the netting would rip from them climbing the walls but it didn’t because it’s made of a plastic like material not fabric like I thought. There was plenty of room for mama, 3 babies, a cat bed, food water bows, and a litter box. The only down side was thr bottom isn’t waterproof. I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately the bottom isnt waterproof and I found out the dard way on my hardwood floors but then I just put absorbent puppy pads under it and changed them daily until the kittens got the hang of using their litter box. It was easy to wash too, I just took it outside sprayed some diluted Mr.Clean on it gave a little scrub then sprayed it off with the water hose and it came clean everytime. I’ve been using it for about 2 months and it’s still holding up good with no rips! It’s definitely good quality material to stand up to 3 kittens trying to escape daily. It’s similar to tent material but stronger and more plastic like. Would definitely but another of if I ever need another one. I don’t have to keep the kittens in in any longer but I now keep the litter box in it to cut down on litter traffic on my floors.
Don’t use for potty training. I bought this for my frenchie puppy so I could bring her to work with me. It was great at first but then realized it’s not waterproof. That’s my fault because I assumed it was. But when she would pee and miss the pad, it looked like it was just puddled up on the fabric but a lot soaked through to the carpet underneath. So I had to start putting puppy pads under it and inside of it. She’s only 3 months old and weighs about 7 pounds, but she can already escape if the top isn’t zipped on. She figured out how to tip the whole thing over to get out. All in all it was a good enclosure, I just wish they would have made the bottom waterproof.
Best pen. We bought the large pen (48”), and as you can see from the photo, it is big enough for two (small) dogs, a pee pad, two beds and their food. It is really easy to fold up and store away-only takes a few seconds. Great for travel. I probably could have bought the size smaller. This pen is lightweight and perfect for small dogs. I don’t know how it would hold up to a large, active dog (The sides are mesh, and the dog could potentially chew or scratch through??). The bottom is not waterproof, so if you have to put this on top of carpet, I might buy a large waterproof mat to put underneath it (we bought a large dog pee pad when we went on vacation because we knew the room we were staying in was carpeted.). I especially love not having a large dog cage that’s up all the time or a pain to disassemble. Love this!
Good Quality. We bought this to help introduce two cats to each other. We put one cat in the playpen while the other was outside, and then we would have the cats switch places. We kept each cat inside the playpen for only a half hour or so per session, but it seemed to work well. The cats got used to each other’s scent, and we soon had both of them outside the playpen with little concern. The playpen appears to be stitched together well, and the mesh screens appear to be good quality. We were very pleased with the value (we purchased the largest size).
No Mosquitos. Ordered this in a medium and it is spacious enough for my 13 lbs Siamese to safely enjoy the outdoors. The most important thing for me is how fine the mesh is. This is the only product I could find (from looking at countless review photos) that has tiny holes so mosquitos cannot get in and has a solid bottom to avoid other small insects crawling through. I also appreciate how quickly you can collapse it and bring it inside. He has windows on all sides and I nice view from above to enjoy the birds 🥰
Love The Pen for Fenny. We are an active, always on the go family with work & school, ballfields & gyms, and constant running. And we just grew by one with a new puppy…because why not! As new puppy owners we need products that help us tackle the chaos, keep our new one safe and help with spoiling our new baby!!This portable playpen is all of the above-looks nice, easy to set up, take down, pack up, and carry around with us. Keeps our Fenny safe and contained, which is important when I’m working, or focused on a great tackle or big hit while watching my other boy do his thing.Fenny has the XL playpen, and yes he is a small at 10 lbs, but we wanted him to have the most space while he is kenneled and being trained, have room so the kid can climb in and snuggle the puppy, and because we just want to spoil him a little bit and give him a bigger area.Our play pen included a cute portable water bowl AND Ruff N Ruffus sent us a LED collar light as a thank you with our order. I literally was trying to use my cell phone to take Fenny out at 6:30 this morning because I couldn’t see a thing with the black morning sky over us, so we will be using this collar light ASAP.
False advertisement. I got a used one. But it was advertised as like new. Except not only did the zipper not work to close off the top, it was missing the zipper altogether. Also, a lot of bite marks along the zipper line. Chewed up quite a bit. And frayed. Couldn’t use the top closure, so the puppy just jumped right out unless sleeping. Great idea for traveling in the airport though, during play and resting comfy in bed, and folds up nicely and goes in a backpack. I’m sure it would’ve been a lot more sturdy had I had the option to close the top, like advertised.Adding an old photo is impossible, I guess.
Holds up to a teething chihuhua who tries to dig her way out. I love this product! I purchased it for a new puppy and it fits her perfectly. I love the portability of the play pen. I work from home so it sits in my upstairs office during the work day and is easily brought back downstairs in the evenings. The top openi g is great for easy in and easy out. And the open door at the side works great…when its downstairs she can come and go as she wants. She has tried to chew through the screen, gnawed on the opening flaps and tried to dig through the floor and so far, she has been unable to damage it.It will also be great to have when we are visiting family. I highly recommend!
So glad I chose this one. We have a six month old kitten and we can’t let her out untethered (murder mittens + leash + unexpected loud noise = massive blood loss and scars for me). Nor do we have a screened in porch. We have a larger carrier that we bought on Amazon and she really likes it; I can set it on a bench in our yard and she stares at the birds for hours. But we wanted something more of a playpen with room for a small litter box and water bowl. I researched dozens of them and went with this one (I got the XL because we wanted lots of room for her). I am SO PLEASED with this product; it is super lightweight, it literally just pops open and folds closed, the roof screen zippered on with ease (good quality zipper), and the “screen” netting is murder-mitten proof…she can’t destroy it; if anything, she gets a claw caught on it that she has to wriggle free. Initially she was intimidated by the space, so we put her carrier inside of this pen so she can hop in and she is so much more confident with the safety of her carrier accessible. Right now she’s quietly watching pigeons eating just ten feet away. We use it indoors too, since she is part chupacabra howler monkey and if not intensely supervised will destroy everything that’s not bolted down. Again, I am so glad I went with this product! Worth the money (it was fifty bucks I think, maybe less with a small coupon), hardy yet light, easy to clean, and SPACIOUS. I plan on checking out this seller’s store to see what else our little kiddo might like. Highly recommended!
Functional and Easy to Use. This cute little pop up playpen was pretty great for my doggies. We rent in an HOA and are not allowed to put up a fence but my dogs love sunbathing. It’s really sturdy, easy to set up and take down. I was even able to get it right back in the carrying case on the first try. This is an XL which I wish was a bit bigger so they had more space to walk around. Great temporary playpen for pet rats. Unique Context: Yes, I know this sounds strange, but I have used this mostly for my pet rats. With supervision, this gives them a great amount of room to run around with a ton of toys and beds laid out. There’s even room for me to sit in there with them with the top open!Great Quality: It’s well made – very sturdy and made of solid materials. The mesh sides are strong and tight enough that they haven’t tried to bite out of it. They have tried to climb out, but the top comes in a few inches and they haven’t successfully escaped. I wouldn’t put them in without supervision, but it’s worked well for our unique needs. It also folds down well for storage and comes with a bag with straps for easy transport.The Next Test: We ordered a second one for a long road trip for our cats to have a safe smaller space to hang out in the hotels. We will see how it holds up with our adult cats, and we may even be able to test out the cute collapsible bowl that came with it! My cat is the one modeling in the pictures.Overall: I recommend this product if you’re looking for something sturdy, well made, easy to store, easy to transport, and cute!
