Great case. Out of the box has space for six 3.5 inch drives (or 2.5) 2 bays underneath the power supply shroud, 4 bays in the upper section, which takes some case reconfiguration, read the manual. Also there are 2 dedicated 2.5 slots on the backside of the motherboard (you may want to get SATA power cable extensions for this). One multi mount also has space for 1 drive 3.5 or 2.5. Also has space for one 5.25 drive for those CD/DVD holdouts out there (I’m included, LOL).Fits very large EATX motherboards (I have Rampage VI Extreme Encore), however the rubber grommets for cable pass through will be completely blocked by the motherboard. This also makes the SATA ports on the motherboard very hard to access because of space constraints. Plan your build accordingly! AKA take your time with this caseOne strange thing is all of the case fans are 3 pin, so no PWM. Built in fan hub has 3 pwm and six 3-pin.Only one pwm input so that’s a possible issue. But you can direct wire to the motherboard.One problem was the panel sides have tabs on either upper side, and on the glass side the front tab was not inserted into it’s slot (pushed outside towards the front), it was forced in and had bent. Took a bit of coaxing to remove that side and bend the tab so it was straight. Once I got that straightened out the case is completely tool less to remove the panels. NICE.Overall very good build quality and design.Besides that one issue everything is very good!!!
Case is gigantic inside. I’m in the process of rebuilding my NAS into a larger box and this was step one.This case has way more drive slots than I’ll ever need. The included fans are whisper quiet. And seem to have temps under control.Currently has 7 drives and a single SSD. With some cheap additional drive sleds I can double that.Not a problem but when I got it I noticed that the box had been opened. But the contents were untouched.Looks like someone opened the box flaps and said “oops, never mind” and sent it back. Never took anything out.That’s when I realized I had ordered a “used” case. I wasn’t paying attention when I ordered. All my fault.
None. Difficult to securely install a 5.25″ device in the available bay. Must also move fans or remove a fan.
Do not buy with a 420 AIO/CLC. Nice case large and plenty of room. For everything except a 420 AIO. I purchased a liquid freezer 2 420 for my 5950X in the X570 prime from Asus I can not use the cooler it interferes with the memory and the I/O area.
Best “Used Like New” Purchase I have EVER Made. This case arrived LITERALLY brand new as far as I can see – it was in its original box with ALL of the original factory accessories in place, and still in all of their wrappings. The Case was in pristine condition, and it is a GORGEOUS case to boot! It is still running beautifully with clean white lines and sturdy construction, 3 months later. You will NOT regret this purchase!!!!I already owned one of these (Fractal Design Series 7), in black with the black solid side panel no glass or mesh, and I loved building in it so much that I decided I would like to purchase another. In particular, the noise levels from it are exceptionally quiet. I discovered this series of cases in 2020 while doing a deep dive search for “best quiet case” on the market, because I wanted to make the most low-key, gets the job done silently, kind of PC for Momma. I was literally so impressed by the case I bought for her, that I set out to find one for myself 3 years later, AFTER doing a search of current ones -and even ordering one!! I ordered the new Fractal Design “North” and it was as gorgeous as it looks. However., the noise! Oh man, like a jet engine in an airplane hangar with the doors closed and Metallica playing a live set in the tailfire winds. So, I immediately regretted NOT getting the one I loved so much for Momma, and wanted to find this. Unfortunately, finding this proved utterly impossible. (If you’re looking at this listing, you may have also found out the same thing by now! VERY important tip, do NOT buy from any website that looks sketchy and offers this case for cheap -there is a scam website “based” in North Carolina whose name I forget. I discovered they are scamming people for cc data (through research, thankfully) and want you to avoid them too! BUY THIS CASE!!!)This case in black was available widely, but this case in WHITE like this one I purchased, was impossible to find anywhere for less than ~$410 at the time I made the purchase (late March/Early April). It arrived in perfect condition, and in less than 3 days when the shipping said a week. I literally truly could not be any happier with this seller, they found me my DREAM case which was sold out everywhere online and they did so at a fair price. It was actually slightly LESS than retail, despite its scarcity, while other sites are doubling the price as I said.You can trust this seller. I did, and they literally made a dream come true for me, in time to make my next stream where I had already advertised the PC would be built. I was prepped to push it back, and they surprised me by getting this here early.Fractal is great, this seller is great.
